Corrupt letter sent to terrify elderly

I received “Immediate Response Needed” letter that is designed to terrify and bully older people into calling and giving information to purchase unneeded insurance. This practice is abhorrent!! The letter uses language like “This NOTICE is to inform you we have been trying to contact you…about the property’s home owner insurance located at (my address) secured by **CONVENTIONAL HOME LENDER…”. If I weren’t as skeptical as I am, I could have easily been scared into calling. We all know that insurance agents are bullies and do not care about the insured. This company is corrupt.

I do show the account was cancelled as requested. The refund has also been processed. This should reflect in your account within 3-5 business days depending on your bank.

Excellent customer service

Unfortunate personal reasons caused me to lose this privilege, not with the vehicle at all, just in personal life and health. Either way this company was very nice and so professional. Definitely would recommend. Transparency was so appreciated without being pressured into anything. Such a refreshing thing. I will be keeping this information and come back as they have gained a loyal new customer.

Quick and easy

My experience was easier than expected. The mannerism and knowledge was on point. I have nothing bad to say of the person that handled this experience.

Predatory

Predatory.

Background: We received a letter from Fenix sent to our home address.

This company’s marketing is predatory. They send marketing mail via USPS deliberately written to give the impression the letter is sent from the mortgage company and stated to give a scary sense of urgency that preys on consumers.

The mortgage company is named at least twice, including prominently in the header, giving the recipient a clear suggestion the letter is being sent from the mortgage company.

Fenix is mentioned only once at the very bottom and in smaller font.

The format and font of the addressee in the header is also made to look like an official government or legal document.

This company and the people behind it are fraudsters. If they provided legit products or services they wouldn’t need to resort to such manipulation

Intentional deception

They sent me a letter about home warranty that was clearly explicitly designed to trick a homeowner into think it was a legal requirement associated with their mortgage and could result in significant issues if a policy wasn’t in place. It was also designed to look like it was from the lender.
