BUYER BEWARE

BUYER BEWARE! The next day shipping claim is a lie. I've waited over a week for half of my order with no indication as to when they'll arrive. THEY DELETE POOR REVIEWS FROM THEIR SITE. They've deleted my review from their site twice now. I'm certain that others, like I did, rely on these reviews to determine where to make a purchase. This company is incredibly dishonest and the representatives show no desire to make things right. The half of my order that I did receive was crushed so badly that none of the filters are usable. The return process is arduous. I'm on day TEN of back and forth with a customer service rep who is "waiting to hear from a supervisor" to see if my refund request will be approved. This website is a SCAM.

No refunds beware!!! Sizes are different than specs. Be careful

Placed my order and the actual size is smaller than the size on the filter and so it does not fit. Called to return and they informed me they don't do returns and I they would need to do a new order for a custom fit costing an additional $$. I would not recommend them to others. Buyer beware!!!

Absolutely the worst customer service I…

Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever recieved. I ordered some air filters on June 12th, this is August 11th and I still havnt received them.i have contacted customer service numerous times and each time they tell me the situation is resolved and the filters will ship soon. I won't be using them again.

Found this USA company by accident

Found this USA company by accident; looking at established retailers like HD, WM, etc. to purchase furnace filters. Always use highest MERV rated (13) since they are the only filters made to trap microbes and viruses, as well as all the other allergens and such. Found a family owned, Alabama based company that manufactures every type, size, and MERV rated filter. On Saturday evening I ordered a year's supply (6) for $56, about half the price of a package of 6 of the 3M brand I've been buying ($126 from a big home improvement store here). I was not expecting much, figured at that price I would probably get some cheap fiberglass MERV 8 rated filters. On MONDAY morning the filters were delivered to my home in Florida by 7 a.m. ! ! I had already received an email thanking me for my business, and their website is one of the most informative (teaching about filter ratings and abilities to capture various pollutants) and also tips of heating, AC, making equipment last longer and be more efficient. The filters, to my amazement were TOP quality. Looks like they will have a steady customer here.

Good Customer Service

I love that I can get these filters when places I go to run out but they didn't package or box these for protection. They just tightly shrunk wrapped them in plastic w/ a label and that's it. UPS delivered mine today and one of the outside ones was crushed, which I suppose was their fault, not the company. These filters are delicate so to be shipped, unpackaged w/ a tight shrink wrap on a UPS truck with heavy boxes can be problematic. I'm so disappointed however, the company did reach out to make things right and I respect that. I initially put a one star review but that's not fair. I give them 5 now because their customer service is on top of it not to mention they monitor their reviews. I'll order again from them. Second chances are always a good thing.

Poor Return Policy

I purchased 2 filters from filterbuy, following the size specifications for my current filter. When I received the filters, they were to big (the dimensions in smaller print did not match up). I reached out to filterbuy to return them and while they authorized the return, I needed to pay for return shipping. I requested a pre-paid return shipping label to then be deducted from my refund so that I wouldn’t have to go to multiple shippers for the best rate (I also assume since they ship filters in large boxes they must have special discount shipping prices and that they would want to extend that to their customers). They denied my request, stating they checked all the options and needed to stick with current policy. I found that they are very good at apologizing for the inconvenience but not doing anything to make it better. While I accepted responsibility for not reading the fine print, I had hoped filterbuy would have done more to make the return process easier (as most other companies do). If their return policy is going to be so challenging, I would recommend including a pop up prior to purchasing to check the actual dimensions of the filter and not just go off of the larger, bolder dimensions. That may save for some incorrect purchases.

Wrong size, Bad customer service.

They have on several occasions sent the wrong size to me and taken forever to issue a refund or exchange. Most recently I was sent 12 of the wrong size and after a month of requesting a return and exchange nothing has happened. No longer a good value.

Good filters you can afford

I was very pleased with the product as I was with the price, never had the need to contact their customer service, yesss that good of a product, it was a custom order, and it for better than my factory order one, Wich by the way it was o lot more expensive than this one, the quality is great, thanks for making it so easy, and you have a customer for life, thanks.

Have used for years and will continue…

I have used Filterbuy for filters for several years now. Can't say I really end up changing them as often as I should so had been a while since I ordered. I happened to look at reviews before ordering and was surprised to see quite a few negative ones, especially about customer service. But I went ahead and ordered anyway. I ordered 6 and withing days the box arrived. It only contained 4. I used the chat mechanism to contact the company. Jed was very helpful and said the other 2 would be sent out within 2 to 3 business days. He sent me an email to that effect when I asked and it arrived as did an email the filters were being shipped. This was yesterday and they arrived today. So there was a mistake with the order but it was quickly and completely taken care of. I will continue to use this company for filters.

NEVER Use this company - customer since 2018 and I am DONE!

I have been a customer of this company since 2018. My last experience in May 2022 has ensured that I will never do business with these people at FilterBuy again, and I’ll tell everyone I know to never do business with them again. We ordered six filters for our three units to have some back ups. Unfortunately these filters do not fit our units even though they are advertised to be the right size. They’re slightly smaller than the marking on the package, and yes it does listed on the website. All I asked was to be refunded for the three filters I shipped back as well as the shipping cost because it cost me over $42 to ship back. FilterBuy announced “sorry tough luck, we won’t reimburse you for the return shipping cost, what you ordered we shipped and you’re not getting your money back for shipping.” When I tried to escalate it, and I got the same responses from the same customer service person who told me that they’d be happy to give me a full refund as soon as I ship back the other three filters. As if I’m going to get a refund for three partly used filters? That’s hilarious. I’m going to be stupid enough to pay for another $42 of shipping? These people are incompetent and rude.

Lying Agents and Won't follow own posted policies

Filters were not shipped by time stated on their website. Then they claimed it was shipped and they were lost, but my FedEx representative confirmed they were never actually shipped. Filter Buy customer support agent said they'd ship replacements in 3 business days or less. Took over a week for the replacements to ship. Then the replacements came damaged and not cut to the right size. Filter Buy would not process a refund or return. Philip is absolutely terrible as a customer support agent too.

I highly recommend that you stay away from this company. Very dishonest and they don't follow the return policies or fulfillment times on their own website.

They print label but don't call for pickup!

Ordered 6/1/2022 and they printed label, which creates a FedEx tracking # but never called for pickup. So it was late with tracking from FedEx assuring it's supposed to be delivered. Then I found out after max time elapsed, that they never actually shipped! When going thru prompts for options refund was only choice and it said order was too old! Boy what a loophole someone very unscrupulous has gotten involved in. So where we'd been happy for years with 2 12 pkgs/yr we are forced to find reputable provider

Impossible to return

This seller ships from local facilities to your state (in my case Utah) but requires the return shipment to go across the US making it more expensive to return the item than just throwing it away. This feels like a scheme to avoid returns. I do not recommend buying from this seller unless you are 100% sure that their filters fit your filter box.

Ordered 24 x 24 x 1. Received 23 3/8 x 23 3/8 that where too small for my vent. Called customer service who suggested custom made at a cost higher than I can purchase Filtrete 1900. Return was not an option due to cost of shipping. BUYER BEWARE! This is my ONLY review for this company, stated due to multiple reviews by “Bill”

Great service

I recently ordered two filters and when they arrived they were damaged. I contacted the company with pictures of the damage and they told me they would send replacements and three days later I got two replacements in perfect condition.
Cannot recommend this company highly enough. Service over and beyond. Bill

Beware! Products are not as shown.

Beware! Never buy from them again.
I’ve purchased Merv 11 filters a couple times from them. The product is shown in white and has always arrived white. This years order is a dirty yellowish brown color. They do have a short video of a guy twirling a filter set to music and from that video you are supposed to understand the filter is dirty looking and not white.
My return vents are inside my home and can be seen behind the grate. This filter looks dirtier on day one than the previously purchased white looks at the end of the month!
After a few e-mails they offer a return at my expense.

Prior to the pandemic all of our Merv 11 filters were produced with the gold filter media . We temporarily moved to the white filter media in our Merv 11s when we were faced with supply chain issues .While I can understand to some this color may not be esthetically pleasing ,I can assure you they are not dirty and are absolutely 100% hand manufactured in our own manufacturing plant in Talladega , AL. If you were to make a future order of this Merv rating it will be in the gold media color. We apologize for any confusion and sure do value you as a Filterbuy customer !
