I have had a very good experiences as a Landlord dealing with First 4 Lettings on multiple occasions over the previous 4 years. Very professional and efficient, would highly recommend to others.

First 4 Lettings helped me source a BTL property and gave me great advice on how to refurb and present the property to achieve the maximum return on my investment. They have gone from strength to strength since I engaged in their services and are always up to date with legislative changes in the Lettings industry. I have been impressed by the efficiency of this agent and properties are not empty for long. Whenever you phone, whoever you speak to, can always access your information and usually sort things out immediately.They keep me well informed. If a problem has arisen, I’ve found that it is always possible to resolve in a nice way. The service is professional and yet relaxed.

I had a good experience with First 4 Lettings, I asked them to provide some details about the properties I was interested in. We had a chat over the phone and I explained my requirements. The advice I received was very good and helped me to make good decisions.

Prior to Covid-19 the service we received from FFL was outstanding. Then came the Leicester lock-down which brought a huge challenge for local businesses like FFL. Nonetheless FFL managed to keep lines open and were always available to talk. They endeavoured to find tradesmen and offered advice when needed. Bravo to the team there and as you can guess I most heartily recommend them.

First4Letting is an ExtremelyProfessional company. Since asking them to manage my properties fo letting they have been a true pleasure to work with .Their prompt, professional and industery knowledge allows them to understand my need as a landlord but also are very good at managing the relationship between the landlord and tenant

Fantastic service at a reasonable price. Sharon Merry engages with me when required as a landlord and is very professional, providing several options on say issues the tenant may be experiencing. Great service and cannot fault the management team either. Would recommend to anyone especially landlords.

The team at First 4 Lettings were so helpful and walked us through the whole letting process making sure we understood everything. Any maintenance issues that came up during the year were always dealt with in a swift and proper manner. Cannot recommend them highly enough if you’re looking for student accommodation.

I would highly recommend using First4Lettings, I have recently renewed my tenancy agreement for another year and I have to say it was a very smooth and efficient process.
The staff at First4Lettings are very professional and always respond to my queries in a timely manner.
I’ve only had two small maintenance issues and both were resolved within 24 hours, I don’t know any lettings agents who are as quick as First4Lettings.

I used first 4 lettings to rent a student property in my second and third year. Both years the service was great. Any problems with the house were sorted quickly and efficiently, at the cost of the landlord and not us. Our deposit was returned to us fairly at the end of both years.
The only problem we did have was the lack of emergency contact number. If something had happened over the weekend (or outside of 9-5), there was nobody to contact immediately. If this had happened, we would have had to contact a plumber/ gas engineer ourselves and hope that the landlord would cover the cost afterwards.

THE WORST AGENCY IN LEICESTER !!! Used them for two years and honestly the WORST service and rude staff you could imagine. In second year our fully tiled from floor to ceiling kitchen fell apart and all of the tiles fell off as they were not safely stuck to the walls. Although this could seriously hurt us, the agency and landlord were reluctant to change anything. They left us with half tiled walls for months even though a kitchen fitter experienced with tiled had told them it was not safe for us to be in their. Not to mention we were left without any hot water for 2 WEEK (which is ILLEGAL) during term time. We had to fill the bath with kettle water to wash. They still tried to take our security deposit off us as we hadn’t had the curtains dry cleaned or the oven professionally cleaned. In third year, the house was given to us in filthy condition with dead bugs everywhere and our back gate lock broken. Also no hot water in the kitchen. But apparently it had been professionally cleaned! We subsequently got burgled and the agency or landlord did absolutely NOTHING to secure the house. We were required to purchase our own burglar alarm and replace the locks on the back gate to feel safer. We also were not provided with a vacuum with the property and then the agency had the audacity to claim that we had not returned the property clean enough. DURING A GLOBAL PANDEMIC WHEN WE HAD PAID RENT FOR 3 MONTHS THAT WE WERE NOT EVEN LIVING THEIR!!! There are SO MANY BETTER AGENCIES in Leicester so DO NOT GO WITH FIRST 4 LETTINGS unless you like hidden costs and unhelpful staff!!! IF I COULD GIVE -5 STARS I WOULD!

I am currently renting a 6 bed student house near University of Leicester. We are really pleased with how modern and clean the house was when we moved in. Definitely recommend this company. Will be looking to book another house for 20/21.

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! Worst letting agency I have dealt with. I’ve just moved out of my studio and they have been trying to scam me of my deposit and actually charge me more for nonsense. On the day of moving in they got the keys mixed up so I was unable to get into the property for a good 45 minutes and kept saying that I was turning it wrong and tried to charge me £40 to get someone to open the door when it was their fault. At the end of my tenancy they tried to charge me £175 for “general cleaning” however when I initially moved in, the microwave was very mouldy inside and so were all the drawers so I had to clean everything myself. They also tried to charge me £75 to get someone to clean the hob when it’s just a studio and would only require one person to clean? As well as this they tried charging me stupid money for pest control for outdoor flies which happened to fly in from outside. Staff are also very unprofessional and rude and will try to charge you for anything. They accused me of breaking the bed and blinds when they’re in the exact same state as I received them in. Also tried charging me £125 for broken drawers when they were already broken from the day that I moved In. Would not recommend at all to anyone. I would advise to stay away. Company is clearly out of money and will try to charge all customers when they can. Cannot emphasise enough to AVOID first4lettings!!!!
