Appalling Attitude!
Two stars - only because the work appears to have been carried out to a good standard. Otherwise it would have been ONE.
In all other respects the service was appalling:
Car had very minor damage from a low speed parking incident - the other driver's insurance company arranged for Fix Auto to carry out the repair.
Car was dropped off Monday lunchtime - having supplied photos/VIN etc. the previous week. As an MOT had been arranged for the following Monday, and the work was likely to be a day or two at the most, we enquired on the Wednesday to see how it was going. We were told it would be ready the following Tuesday - 6 working days for a minor scuff which needed paint correction only. When I called the next day to tell them we needed the car back on the Monday at the latest (having re-arranged the MOT) I was told it could not be guaranteed - they still needed to carry out 'geo' checks (trying to baffle me with technical jargon!), and final Quality checks (which it could fail).
I challenged the need for wheel alignment checks on a scuff caused at 2mph and said that if the car was not going to be ready in time we would collect it that day and get the repairs carried out elsewhere. I was told we would not be allowed to collect our (OWN) car and the insurance company would require to give permission, as long as a waiver were signed - due to the car being released in an unsafe condition! Nonsense!
By some miracle the car was actually ready for collection only a couple of hours later.
My assessment:
The planned 6 days for the repair would allow the repair shop to pad the bill - after all it was the insurance company who were paying - and include unnecessary extras like vehicle alignment check and probably the likes of removing/refitting the bumper/parking sensors/boot lining etc. etc.
No wonder our insurance premiums are so high!
Feedback will also be going to the insurance company.

While we’re pleased to know you were satisfied with the quality of the repair, we regret that the communication and repair timelines caused frustration. I would, however, like to clarify a few points regarding the timescales: your vehicle was dropped off shortly after midday on Monday, the 31st, and was returned to you on Thursday afternoon, the 3rd—meaning the repair took just three full working days.
The originally estimated completion time of six days was generated by our management system based on the nature of the damage, including impact to the rear quarter panel, bumper, and wheel. This estimate accounts for potential mechanical work that may be necessary, and it ensures we allow time for all required safety checks.
Although the damage may have seemed minor, we have a duty of care to carry out repairs in line with manufacturer standards. In this case, a four-wheel alignment check was necessary and did show that adjustments were needed to bring your vehicle back within specification. These procedures are not meant to confuse but to ensure your safety. All work, including any additional checks, was authorised by your insurer.
With regard to collecting the vehicle mid-repair, we do require authorisation from the insurance company before releasing a vehicle. This policy is in place to ensure that vehicles are safe and roadworthy before they leave our facility.
We take all feedback seriously and will review our communication processes to identify any areas for improvement. Your comments will also be shared with our team to help us deliver a better experience moving forward.

terrible communication. Rude staff. No updates given on repairs. Had to call repeatedly to ask when my car would be ready. Was given 2 separate dates and the car was not ready on these dates. took 4 weeks to repair a bumper.

My car went in with minor scuffs and scratches to the front bumper following no fault contact in a car park. Pictures were uploaded to them so they were aware of the level of damage. The car went in as planned on the 11th of March and was not returned until the 24th of March. No correspondence came from the garage with regards to time scales, I had to call on 2 occasions just to get an update to which they had no answer and according to my Mercedes app the car was only unlocked (or left unlocked for a period of time) after being with them for 8 days. On collection there was no run down of the work that was actually carried out i.e. were new parts fitted or original parts repaired. I will be forwarding my comments to my insurance company as they organised the repair.

The staff were very nice, however, I had terrible trouble getting through on the phone. I spent several hours trying to get through after receiving a text telling me to phone as my car was ready. At one point I was on hold for over an hour and was cut off several other times. I was told there was a possible problem that was being investigated.

Not enough drivers to return car on day…
Not enough drivers to return car on day job is finished. I had to collect car myself-via a taxi/ to immediately notice job not completed properly. So car had to be booked back in a second time.
I was offered a courtesy car- but out of good will I said it was fine providing the rework could be done in one day and my car returned - however this didn’t happen either….

Upon reviewing your complaint, I can see that the start of the year was particularly busy for us, as your vehicle was booked in on the first full week after the festive holidays. During this period our team of drivers were extremely busy trying to keep all our customer mobile from the volume of immobile vehicle claims throughout the festive period. While our team worked diligently to complete your repairs in two days, I recognize that the lack of available drivers added unnecessary stress to your experience.
Regarding the issue with the tailgate chip, we initially focused on the rear bumper repair as per the insurer’s instructions, and the tailgate chip was only identified later. Once we had authorisation to repair that as well, we completed the necessary work and delivered the vehicle the following day.
I understand this entire process was not up to the standard you expected, and I genuinely appreciate your patience throughout this. To ensure this doesn't happen again, we’re reviewing our internal procedures to better manage scheduling and communication, particularly around busy periods.

Car picked up and courtesy car delivered straight to our door. Work seems excellent. All pretty painless. Only thing I could possibly compain about is that the courtesy car arrived with no screenwash in it! But that's not really a complaint.

Appalling Customer service.
I was told that my car needed to be off the road for 3 weeks due to key was misplaced and a had to arrange a suitable courtesy car. Then after a day I was told I didn't need this now as I still had one set of keys and car was driveable. Which I had said, its strange the car has to be off road for a key to be synced. This was the start of Dec I was told up to 3 weeks but due to cmas maybe 4 werks and they would call me with updates. I then had to call as I had heard nothing from the services and when I did the girl said of we've been asked for you to send the V5 in? This was after 4 weeks and they hadn't attempted to call me with any updates key still was not ordered. I had told her that we don't have this as this is a Mobility car and we never have this as legally we don't own car. Then sent what I was given with is a copy. After another week or so I had to call again. Still no joy and was asked to supply this again. I then argued about this to get them to listen to me. Eventually they accepted the copy. They said another 2 weeks for the key to be ordered, They said we will let you know what is happening now. After yet another week still no update and called again to be told that my car is booked into the bodyshop on the 3rd Feb. I had to call for this date and had to arrange my work around this. Was not given an option. It was that date and that's all. The 3 is reflected of the poor customer service from the service department and not reflected on the Technicians or bodyshops. It's purely the bad non customer service that was given.
