10-year old Mac gets second life
I have a 10-year old iMac and yellow bands started coming up over the screen. After a few weeks problems started with booting up until it would get to a blank screen and no further. I had taken it to the Apple Store in Birmingham but whilst they got it working off a portable hard drive and installed an earlier operating system, they told me they do not do repairs but could sell me a new one! Outside the store, I was handed a leaflet about Fix My Broken Mac. Not wanting to "bin" our treasured Mac but being more than a little bit apprehensive about handing it over to a company I had never heard of via a leaflet, I took a look online. After watching Will's video (great, but could still be scam I thought), I decided to give them a go as we really did not want to scrap the machine with all our data on it. For a little reassurance from seeing where they operate from, I took it into the Birmingham unit (near Yum cafe which does great Eggs Benedict!) They ascertained the problems, gave me a quote which was about a quarter of the cost of a new Mac (although still more than a reconditioned PC admittedly) and I was happy to proceed with a new graphics card and an SSD, service and internal clean. The Mac is now all back up and running with all data restored. Would highly recommend giving FixMyBrokenMac a go if you find your slightly old Mac misbehaving. They CAN be repaired.
iMac flickering screen
Submitted my problem online. Will called me and advised I was likely to need a new screen @C£500 and did I want to go ahead. Decided I would and sent the Mac. Diagnosed as needing new screen AND new HD total C£800. Discussed options with Will and decided not to go ahead. Communication was very good and although the repair was not economically viable on this machine I would definitely try them again.
You guys are cool
You were very informative, and clearly know what you're talking about. I had confidence in the advice I got and the work was completed at the time you said it would be. GREAT service!!
Friendly
Friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Handy for a non-techie like me.
Excellent fix professional job
Fantastic service
Brought my Macbook in with water damage, one day before leaving for a month-long course. Delighted with the service - communication was great and repairs were done very speedily! Got lucky that the parts were in stock, but felt like they went over and above to help me out in such a short space of time. Highly recommend to anyone in a panic!

Sorted Quickly and Efficiently
They sorted my iMac quickly at a very good price. Very satisfied with their excellent service and quality of the repair. Their communication systems are also very good and clear. Will use again.
Excellent service, thank you!
Excellent service and personal communication throughout. A great job of replacing my macbook screen and they even found a missing rubber foot and put a new one on free of charge. You can monitor progress as you go, so you can see exactly what’s being done. Thoroughly recommended!
very pleased
From the moment I first contacted fixmyMac I received very informative and straight forward communications
There was a mix up in the packaging originally sent out for couriering the Mac to them but quickly resolved.
Costs seemed very reasonable but not checked it out elsewhere so only my gut feeling
Everything worked as they advised
Pleased with the condition of the Mac

Brought my Mac here a week ago and absolutely happy with customer service and my Mac! Was quoted £632 by Apple and was charged less than half the price at Fix my Mac! Was fixed within a few hours after leaving the shop. Over the moon my friend recommended this place to me!
Superb Customer Service
FixMyBrokenMac Ltd have been an exceptionally good company to have repair and update my MacBook Pro. Superb communications by phone and email made the whole repair process simple and convenient with the machine collected and returned by courier.
The quote for repair was very reasonable and the final bill was actually less. A highly professional, efficient and very speedy repair service from a company who clearly put customer service as a top priority. I would highly recommend them if you need Apple products repaired or upgraded.
Absolutely brilliant
Absolutely brilliant! Our 2011 iMac that we use 24/7 is now running great. I thought I would have to replace it, at a cost of nearly £3K - they literally saved me £thousands. Highly recommend them

*****In reply to the reply posted by the company: NO - I am not a "fake reviewer".
Given your reaction to negative reviews (not just mine, to the other negative reviews here) which seem to consist of no apologies, just excuses and false accusations made to me and the otters s who have received awful service from your company, you seem to be proving the point we are making.
FixmybrokenMac - as you can see from their replies - don't do customer service. The lack of professionalism has been, for me — from the very beginning though to their reply this website to my complaint — seriously atrocious.
Trying to pass a negative review off as a 'fake reviewe'r should be beneath them... it clearly isn't..
I said in my original compliant that FixmybrokenMac are "cowboys" and whilst trying to deny that they aren't, they have just proven to everyone here that they are.
Don't trust them guys n gals..

ORIGINAL COMPLAINT
Cowboys.
I made an enquiry to have my Mac fixed a few months ago and was told it would take 3-4 days. Fine.
I left it in. When I rang three days later in the hope that the Mac would be ready for collection, I was told that the job they needed doing would take about 10-days.
I told them all about the enquiry I had made and that I was told 3-4 days. They had no record of this. I was then told, that if I wanted my Mac fixed that quickly, I could pay an extra fee to be put on some priority queue. The cheek of them! I couldn't believe they wanted to charge me extra to meet the deadline they themselves had initially set. I was fuming.
So the next day, I walked into them and said, "listen, I'm not happy with the service." The girl behind the counter said, "if you just pay the fee for the priority queue, I can have the Mac fixed for you by the end of the day (this was after she went to the back of the shop and got information from them working behind the scenes). Annoyed by this I just said: 'Y'know what, just give me the Mac back, I'm gonna get it fixed elsewhere..."
She went into the back, came back with my Mac and some other bloke five minutes later and said "Actually, we've already done the work, it's all fixed for you" and handed it back to me. The work had already been done, yet they wanted to charge me extra to give me my Mac back.
Unbelievable.
I wouldn't touch these guys with a barge pole.
Just shockingly awful service. Will never go back. Bunch of cowboys and cowgirls.

What a fantastic service
What a fantastic service - I was looking at a new machine after a local company couldn't fix my IMac - (GPU packed in - which is usually a death sentence) and I stumbled across FixMyMac by chance. Phew. It was collected, repaired and delivered back as good as new. No hassle whatsoever. And peace of mind with a warranty too. I'm over the moon, and recommend these guys 100%. Saved my life :)

After contacting apple and finding out how much it was for an LED replacement on a 5th generation iPad I was mortified... but after finding these life savers on the internet and enquiring on price I was very happy. ( got to be very careful as there is too many people saying they can repair iPads etc. ) Very friendly with a quick repair service plus comes with a few months aftercare guarantee. A very happy customer..
