I used Phoenix Bars to fuel a 200 km cycle ride from London to Bath, and they were fantastic from start to finish. They were easy to eat on the bike, tasted great, and gave me steady energy without feeling heavy or causing any stomach issues. They helped keep me going through the long miles and were a real highlight of my nutrition plan. I’ll definitely be using them again for future endurance rides and would highly recommend them.

I’m a massive fan of phoenix bars. Really convenient when I’ve needed a boost on a long day and they taste brilliant whilst packing in lots of calories which other bars cannot replicate. On top of that, James is a very passionate founder who clearly cares about the quality of his bars and customer service.

I was looking for an energy bar that is not just suitable for extreme sports persons but also suitable for people who need help with a high calorie intake due to illness. In my case this is my sister who has received a cancer diagnosis. The bars are superb. Since incorporating them into her daily diet she has not just hold her weight but also gained a little bit weight. She likes all flavours however chocolate seems to be her favourite. They are palatable, she breaks them up into small pieces and eats little bits spread out over the day, keeping her energy levels up. James customer service is superb. When I explained why I was ordering his bars he made sure that they were delivered within 2 days and his communication is excellent. My sister lives in Germany and has placed an order from there too and again delivery was quick.

These are honestly great. I use them for some of my longer runs and I find my energy levels stay exactly where I need them to be throughout.

Had a long race coming up and always looking for good ways to fuel. Came across the high calorie bars in my search, messaged James (the founder) and he was able to guide me to best bars for me. Great tasting product and really helped me through my race. Will be purchasing more for next race.

I used two vanilla bars during the Yorkshire Three Peaks training run with my dog — officially 24 miles with 5,250 feet of ascent, though my Garmin recorded 6,490 feet. I broke each bar into around six pieces and ate them throughout the round.
They were easy to eat, didn’t clog my mouth, and I wasn’t left spitting out dry food — a real plus compared with other bars that can be too dry. I also had no stomach discomfort while running or trotting, and they didn’t put me off taking more fuel on the hour.
My energy levels felt steady throughout, with no dips or crashes that needed a quick sugar hit — which often leads to more lows later. Overall, I only used the two bars, one energy gel for the final push up Ingleborough. The rest of my food stayed untouched, which was excellent.
In summary, the big win was steady energy over the full 5 hours 51 minutes training run.

Best performance bars out there for endurance sports or long days out. Great customer service as well.
