Pretty good site
Pretty good site, found a few flatmates through them. Would be better if they did not allow people to advertise rooms without bills included, as, firstly, this is illegal, & secondly, does not present a level playing field. Someone may think a room advertised at $180 per week is better value than one advertised at $210, but if the former does not include bills, & the latter does, the latter is the best value.. unfortunately most people are not bright enough to work that out & I have to advertise my room at a lower rate than I would really like to.

Thanks for your review.
We do have an option within our search filters that allows members to be shown properties that have “bills included” within the advertised rental price. You will find this by selecting on the "filters" box in the search bar once you have started your search for properties in your area. Many members will also post their rental price on their listing and then in their description they may state how the bills are split.
As Flatmates is a peer-to-peer listing site to help members find share accomodation it is usually expected that all flatmates will share the cost of the house. Every share house is different, so it really is up to the members of the house to come to an agreement together, but people searching for accommodation should expect to pay bills along with their rent. We have a stack of resources on the site to help members with disputes or tips on how to split the bills evenly.

Didn't get what I paid for
I got zero hits after 2 weeks on my "live" listing. After checking, it actually wasn't listed despite the LIVE status. I tried to contact customer service, which was difficult (no one to call) and provided very succinct information regarding the issue. I got a generic email back which did not address any of these issues. I strongly recommend flatmatefinders.com.au as I've had a MUCH better experience with them!
