We are a non-profit shop that helps children and adults with additional needs by supplying products and equipment that help with everyday challenges. We provide an easy and trusted environment to find the right solutions and allow people to connect and share their experiences. Fledglings was born in 1998 out of founder Ruth Lingard’s passion and drive to help parents and carers of children with special needs find simple solutions to everyday challenges they face. As a special needs teacher and social worker, Ruth had a wealth of experience helping families and children, and Fledglings gave her an opportunity to reach more people in need.

The shoes were damaged after a week of my child wearing them. The material burst. I bought a second pair and the same thing happened again. The design of the high top and the zip is suitable but having canvas material for the toe part is not suitable for children who will likely drag their feet.

Don't order sleeping bag if you don't smoke. I ordered a Body Worn sleeping bag with long zip from Fledlings. The delivery time was more than 10 weeks, then we received a sleeping bag with short zip (it is not possible to put it on my son who has severe CP). On top of that the sleeping bag is disgustingly smelly of tobacco. It is not enough that they ask more than £80 for a sleeping bag, but than it is useless and disgusting.
Firstly we have purchased items from Fledlings over a period of time for our foster children both with profound health issues
We ordered a poncho for our foster girl who is now sadly on end of life care for winter after a while the poncho was delivered to a different address same name 20 miles away
Fledglings refused to resend saying we typed postcode in incorrect now how would we know the postcode for another city
save your money and go elsewhere
Do not under any circumstances order anything from this company , they do not deliver item and are not prepared to sort out .
Fledglings really helped my child when he most needed it.
Fledglings is a great place to get any clothing for the disabled. I'm incontinent and purchase the popper vest and they have never let me down.
Do not deal with them they don’t answer once purchased . Purchased swimming underwear for disabled child, size is horrendous I order size 9-10 grandchild only 5 , I thought I would get a bit of wear as they cost £30 for one item very disappointed and they take advantage for overpriced item for disabled children. Not a happy customer 😤
