Paid deposit but car sold to another buyer
Paid deposit via Auto Trader but car was sold to another buyer.
Said that it was reserved before I did, but even directly on the website, it was still available when I reserved.
Although I requested refund for deposit, I now have to wait 10 days for my money to be returned.

Hi Lynne. The Autotrader reserve function is something which is operated by them and we have no control whatsoever on the time frame involved in issuing a refund back. This is a new feature which they have recently implemented with a handful of dealers. I will bring this up with our account manager and give them the feedback that you have experienced. As Autotrader have no control over our website stock feed, they are unable to take the car off sale on our website. They can only place the reservation on the car on the Autotrader website alone. We do have control over the stock feed we send to Autotrader, so if we have received a reservation via our website it removes the car from this feed. It is unfortunate that this cant work the other way around. Like I say, this is a new feature they are trialling so I will pass on these issues to them. Apologies that you missed out on the car you wanted. We hope to have something for you in the future.

Booked a test drive at Fleetwood car centre which was good but then saw another car which I liked so Pat went out of his way to move the cars which were in the way and then go and get some petrol so I could test drive it. I ended up buying the car. I couldn't collect the car for a few days but Pat was fine with that and kept in touch. Would buy from them again, thanks Pat.

They promised to hold on to a car that i wished to purchase but went ahead and sold it anyway.
To me...this is disingenuous and underhand and because of my high standards i would not countenance using this supplier.

Bought a 2016 Lexus nx 300h recently from this well established local family business. Excellent service, no pushy sales teams, very competitive price and a fair part exchange for my old car. A couple of minor problems were quickly sorted out with the minimum of fuss. Would highly recommend anyone to try this place. Well done everyone at FCC.

FCC - Worth more than a casual detour! 5***
I travelled from Cambridge to Fleetwood over the weekend to pick up a nearly new Suzuki Swace at a very competitive price. The whole process from my initial calls through the payment and processing of the paperwork was handled by David Wilson in a timely and professional way. I must admit that I was wary about purchasing a car remotely at a distance of 220 miles from a dealer who I had no prior knowledge of but the whole experience was refreshingly simple. Finally, a 'heads up' for Ernie and Pat for a most competent handover. I recommend Fleetwood Car Centre without reservation!

Watch out if trading your car bottom price
I had enquired online about the car, rang on the day it was waiting for me to look at took out for test drive but Ernie didnt seem interested at all. Using We buy any car as to get the trade in price ridiculous, had a price on autotrader wouldnt even consider that.
What a wasted trip car overpriced in comparison to others.

He has worked for us for many years and has a lot of repeat customers so I will see what occurred that day. I would like to hear what he has to say about the encounter between you both.
I would like to address your points raised which may help give you some insight for when buying elsewhere in the future.
When we value a part exchange, we look at a variety of data including CAP, book value, retail ratings, future retail values and We Buy Any Car. Looking at We Buy Any Car is not ridiculous as it gives us an idea of current market sentiment in the trade. WBAC are owned by British Car Auctions, and it goes without saying that they have access to used car data for thousands of cars which go through their auctions every week. So seeing where they think the car is currently sat is useful knowledge as they are seeing how much they are making at auction. We also do look at the figure Autotrader quote to customers and we then see how that sits with the rest of the data we have access to. We can then make our decision on what we want to give for your car.
I also note your comment about you feeling our car was over priced. I am interested to know why you enquired on it in the first place if this is what you thought. I know for a fact that none of our cars are over priced as our prices are checked daily therefore I know that all of our stock is very competitive. We would not get the leads in the first place if we were over priced. As shown by the fact that you were interested enough to come and test drive. I have looked into the car you drove and according to Autotrader's retail values, it is currently ranked number 2 in the whole country in terms of value. To be exact, they are currently saying it is priced £931 below their recommended retail figure. The only ones which are cheaper have done a lot more miles than our car. I can not see a single car on Autotrader which makes our car look over priced.
As well as offering our cars at a low price, we do not charge any admin fees, which is something you may come across at other dealerships. We do not charge these fees as we like to keep things nice and simple for our customers. So keep an eye out for that when you are looking elsewhere Paul.
And finally, the prices we give for part exchanges are always fair and represent current market value. However, you have the choice to try and sell your car elsewhere if you disagree with our valuation and then come to us with no part exchange. You are obviously entitled to your opinion on what you think your car is worth. If we do not agree then that is just unfortunate. There is no need to make it personal and come out with statements on the internet about us which are not true.
In future, I would suggest before taking to your computer to attempt harm on our business, you do a bit more homework on the subject and the market.
