As a customer since 1980 ish, ( Clarkson Puckle ) and one claim for a windscreen in that time, with a renewal of £500+ , I thought it time to search the market. A company with almost as long in the market, quoted over £100 less, and all agreed value. A courtesy call to tell FJ received a ' thanks for letting us know ' response.. No offer to review their quote. So much for customer care. I guess in these times, we all have to shop around each time at renewal. Don't expect a broker, which they all are, to protect your interests.

Changed to a Multi Vehicle Policy with FJ
I've been with Footman James for about 8 years and always found them helpful and their prices reasonable. I contacted them this week as I had sold one of my classic scooters and bought a new scooter instead. With Classic Insurance Policies you don't build up a no claims bonus (NCB), so having discussed options, took out new multi vehicle policy which covers both new and old scooters and will allow me to build up a NCB over time (hopefully!) I spoke to a nice lady; Chelsea at FJ, and she gave me a very reasonable quote for the new policy, and a decent discount as I was a loyal customer. I had previously checked with another Insurer (Carole Nash), and they quoted me a ridiculously high premium for the new scooter, despite the fact I'm in my early 60's!
Excellent service from a professional insurance company
I bought an old Mini and wanted to insure it with a company who understood its value. Molly at Footman James patiently listened to my detailed description of the vehicle and provided a competitive quotation including an agreed valuation which is so important with cars of this age and condition. In this 'computer generated' world it was nice to deal with an understanding human being.
