Lucy Gardiner was wonderful . She was patient and explained all of the financial options available to me and my son now he has turned 18. She was very informative and he was able to make decisions based off of the information she provided. It was a really good learning experience for him too. I have my child trust fund with them
I have my child trust fund with them; this is the one assigned to me by the government. When I turned 18, they were very proactive in talking to me about what I wanted to do with my money. Phil was a very nice man, but it was obvious he had basically been given a script to try to make me leave my money with them. Their website has always been impossible. I have to talk to customer service to just attempt to log on. I am now 21, a few months from taking MY money out in order to make a big purchase. Last time i cheked i had roughly £4,000 in my account, but there is basically no way for me to know without having to do the whole song and dance again. Their website is impossible, and trying to do anything with that account is a huge hassle.
Overall OK, but customer service can use improvement
Overall, the product itself is excellent; however, the customer service experience was disappointing.
What should have been a relatively simple issue took an excessive amount of time to resolve. I initially called customer support and was transferred to a supervisor. Unfortunately, the supervisor then transferred me again without informing me, which created confusion and reflected poorly on the service experience.
I then attempted to resolve the issue through the chat system. The first representative asked me to wait a few minutes but never returned, and the chat session eventually disconnected. I remained active in the chat to avoid losing the session, but it still dropped. Because of this, I provided a poor rating for that interaction.
I started another chat session and was able to get some additional information. However, that session also disconnected shortly after the representative acknowledged receiving the email she had requested. The instructions she provided afterward could not be followed, and the chat disconnected again.
In my final interaction, the representative, Allyson, did not respond to my followup question and left the chat without addressing it. That experience was particularly frustrating.
As a customer, situations like this can feel overwhelming, especially when the process does not go as expected or as advertised. Experiencing inconsistent customer support in those moments makes it even more difficult, particularly for someone who places a high value on good customer service.
I want to emphasize that the individuals I interacted with were likely well-intentioned, and the sales process itself was handled very well. However, the service side of the experience did not meet my expectations.
I do not want to focus excessively on this negative experience, but I do believe it is important for companies to understand how these interactions affect customers. At this point, I am also exploring other insurance agencies that offer similar products.
Excellent personal service
Denise is highly personable, capable and was expert at guiding my daughter through her investment options once her trust fund had matured. I love the personal touch and am so impressed with Foresters' approach.

Very helpful and helped me understand my finances and how the different accounts work and what they do which allows me to make proper choices now. Cheryl especially was great and very patient with me as she went through and explained the different account types, options ,what they do etc to me throughly to help me make sure I make the best choice for my future. I would recommend this to anyone looking to manage their finances, especially Cheryl.
