My issue is that your company charged…

My issue is that your company charged us the second and final payment before completing the job.

The Critter Controll that did the awfull service is in Houston TX area 77004.

There is still work that needs to be done, and in less than four months the bats on the back of the house have returned.

In addition, your company has repeatedly scheduled appointments where no one showed up and no one even called to explain or reschedule.

On another occasion, the wrong technician was sent without the proper ladder needed to access the back of the house, which is very high and has many electrical wires, creating a serious safety concern.

At this point, I would like this issue resolved promptly and professionally.

We had a Possum issue in our attic that…

We had a Possum issue in our attic that other companies were unable to get rid of, Critter Control did get the issue resolved. That is the ONLY thing they did right.

Upon hiring the company to complete the work per the contract we were left with their failure to do what was requested. In the contract it states that they would come in and upon removal of the animal they would remove all blown in insulation from our home and replace it with new insulation, per the TX guidelines of R38, they did not do this.

They did remove all insulation from the attic. The came back in and "blew in" what they said was R38 levels of insulation. R38 based on the type of cellulose they used would require approximately 15 inches of material.

Upon inspection of the photo they provided of our attic they showed to have "completed" that. The real level was hidden by them altering the level itself. They used an existing level gauge in the attic and falsified it by bending the gauge at the 8 inch level and had that as the base resting on the floor of the attic. This allowed them to "show" that it was sitting at approximately 15" of insulation installed.

Upon finding large increase in usage of the hvac system, recorded over a period of several weeks we went to investigate. My hvac system records enough data through the thermostat and other sensors for temp outside, temp inside, cost of electrical, etc. It clearly was showing an increased usage due to some issue. So I hired an HVAC company to come out and see if there were issues with our system. There were not.

While, up in the attic they stated that the attic as a whole ONLY had a max of 7" of insulation in certain spots with most of it only in the 5" of depth.

Upon finding this out I contacted Critter control. It has been 2 weeks of daily calling to not be able to talk to ANYONE in charge to get this resolved.

This company is clearly fraudulent in their practices. They roll their incoming calls to their "answering service" and they never return them.

If I were a person looking to get any "animals" removed from an attic I would never use this company. They fail to follow contracts they write up. They fail to follow back up when there are issues with their service and clearly they do not do the full service they claim to do.

To this day I am still awaiting a return call from my daily calls over the last 2 weeks.

They are FRAUDS and THEIVES, I would avoid them completely.

I paid $5600 to get rid of rats 28 months ago. They came back with a vengeance; my home is under their warranty but I can’t get a response. I’ve called twice and emailed twice. Don’t fall for this! I’m furious.

Crooks

The sales lady got me. Hired them for over a 14000 dollar job that was supposed to be done in one day. Months later, still not done, May not get reimbursed from insurance bc they are taking so long past the deadline. They act like they get you on the schedule but don't. I have to point out things that are wrong or missed and I'm not a professional. Now I'm trapped in the house with rats. The rat wall has been pointless. Do not hire critter control

These folks are crooks

These folks are crooks. Sure they have a number of crooked tricks, but one in particular is to convince people they have a rat infestation, charge you thousands to do a few hours "exclusion" work and then claim success when the rats are gone. Truth is you had no rats to begin with and your out thousands. My guess is most people never even know they were ripped off. I got ripped off so I guess I'm the fool. Don't let yourself be one. Call someone honest.

Stay away from this Trash company.

To begin with, no one is ever going to call back to provide any updates. It is always you, who will call, share your name address number etc for a call back, but nothing's gonna happen.

We purchased a whole home critter problem's solution with them as we suspected some scratching noises in the master bedroom. After 10 (ten whole days) of follow up, crew was sent who was busy talking and smoking all over the yard and completed the job of finding a baby raccoon in 4 hours. They left after that.
After a week of follow up, another crew was sent to check as horrible smell was still all over the bedroom, bathroom and we had been co-sleeping with our kids in upstairs room. It was already 3 weeks.

So when this new crew came, to identify the source of the dead critter's smell and eventually removal of it, they cut out multiple pieces of our wall, ceiling and drilled multiple holes and could NOT find any thing!!.
We requested for repair of the damage that was done as the supervisor has confirmed getting it done.

As I write this, we feel cheated and frustrated as its been roughly 8 weeks of no master bed room access (we have moved all furniture out so that repair and paint job can be done smoothly), co -sleeping with kids and follow ups and a ZERO response and result.

Definitely warning my friends and neighbors to stay away from this trash company. No renewal ever.

Refusal to Honor Warranty

On February 15, 2022, we purchased a "whole home" warranty from Critter Control. They came out, inspected the entire home, and recommended the "whole home" warranty as the best solution because it comes with a 10-year warranty against future animal entry. On May 22, 2023, we sent in the attached photo showing where an animal had torn open the siding to get under the house. We asked them to send out a crew to fix it. Crews were sent out on May 30, June 15, and August 10. Before each of these visits, I called the office to personally verify what the crew was planning to do and that they had the information and time they would need to complete the work (we had consistently had past experiences where the crews came out unprepared). Each time, I was assured that they had what they needed. Each time, the crew showed up and was unable to solve the problem because they said that the notes on the job were inadequate and they were unprepared. On July 13 at 2:30 pm, I spoke with the manager to clear up confusion about whether fixing the issue should involve replacing the damaged siding or simply screwing a piece of sheet metal over the hole. The manager and I agreed that, according to the contract, the damage was covered by warranty and that it should be replaced with the correct material. After repeated follow-ups to get the service scheduled, the manager emailed on Sep. 8 claiming that, because the wood was old, it had been easier for the animal to gain entry, and therefore it was not covered. This is despite the fact that Critter Control inspected the home in detail and recommended the "Whole Home" service specifically because future animal entry was likely on an old home and the "Whole Home" service would cover it by warranty. They are now simultaneously asserting that 1) With old wood, they are not obligated to warrant against animal entry, and 2) covering the hole with sheet metal fulfills their obligation under the warranty to protect against animal entry.

Excellent service

We heard animal noises in our attic and called Critter Stop. Joey provided the estimate and explained the process fully. We received excellent as service by both Phillip and Cory. They each were courteous, both were knowledgeable and kept us informed about the progress. We would highly recommend Critter Stop if you need any of their services that they offer.

Look for someone who cares about you

If I were to give a review of the man who came out and did my consult I would give him 5 stars, the crew who came out to do the work- amazing- they were professional, friendly, they cleaned up once they were done- again 5 stars. But, I paid the price I paid for my daughter's car for this service and in the first 2 weeks the rats were back. It has been impossible to sleep because they are right above my bed. I called needing someone to come out, I was given an appointment for 3 days later. I was very thankful. Monday between 8:30-12:30, I took off work b/c I needed the rats out. Today is Monday, it is 1:25 and I have heard nothing. I called the office, no apology, no offer to see when they might be at my house- so I asked to reschedule and the girl (who could not be less helpful) said April 9th. My attic, duct work, insulation, and wiring will be destroyed again by then and I have to listen to the rats above my head for 19 more days! So, if everything goes well and they seal your home well then they are probably a good company to go with, but if you have anything go wrong do not expect the service you paid for (in my case I spent a HUGE amount of money). And if you find yourself in a bad situation where you really need help- you will most likely be on your own if you chose Critter Control. The 1 star is well deserved because today, just a little over 2 weeks since they came out the first time, I am exactly where I was before I Critter Control came in and "cleaned" my house of rats and now that I have paid they are in rush to help me at all.

Bad customer service and won't honor the warranty

I have paid them a lot of money for the first time I had rats. Now I need to claim the warranty. I have called them several times that I have a major rat problem. They put me off several days before they can come. When someone came not enough was properly done to ward off rats. They put me on hold and not come back. BAD Service!

Very Satisfied Customer

I recently had a rat remediation performed by Critter Control. Although the remediation required a full day, I found the techs to be very professional and very courteous toward me and respectful of my house and yard while they set up all the equipment necessary to perform the work. The existing attic insulation had to be removed, a fogging had to be performed to destroy all pheromones left by the rodents and new insulation had to be blown in. In addition, all openings had to be sealed. I am very pleased with the service.

Effective Treatments and Excellent Customer Service

We moved to The Woodlands in October of 2014. Shortly thereafter we heard noises in the walls and in the attic. Critter Control came out to do an inspection and give us our options. I was immediately impressed with the level of customer service. They did a thorough inspection, and then spent all the time necessary to go over their findings with me, walking me around the house and showing me issues. I then had them come out to solve our problems and we haven't heard a noise ever since. After the treatment, they showed me all of the holes they filled, vents and pipes they screened, and even concrete they added to seal up around the garage, etc. They went inch by inch around the entire house feeling around stone and along the foundation. I was impressed.

Also, their guarantee is fantastic! Given the services we've had performed, I now know that if we ever hear those noises again, or notice any other critter or pest issues, they will come out immediately to take care of it free of charge. That is exactly the kind of peace of mind I needed in our new, much more critter and pest invested, home town (we last lived in Colorado where the pests were not so big or bold).

I take recommendations seriously, and only refer people and services I have had excellent personal experience with. I have no reservations recommending Critter Control.

Full Remediation

This is the 2nd time I've used Critter Control. The first time they came out to a house we were selling that had a few field mice get in. I had a great experience with them then.

This time we suspected squirrels were getting into our house because we heard noises in the attic and saw them on our roof frequently. Critter Control came out and inspected and found that we had a massive rat infestation in our attic. They had me come up to show me the signs and what they had done.

Because of how extensive it was they recommended a full remediation - removal of insulation (and anything with it), repairing of electrical lines they damaged, pumping a virucide in the attic and through our air ducts to disinfect and deodorize, putting new insulation with boric acid to kill insects and deter pests, and repairing all possible areas where pests could enter from the outside.

They were able to schedule us only a couple days later and nearly complete everything the same day (we had weather issues that prevented finishing that day). Since then we've had no issues and we found my wife and kids haven't had nearly as bad of allergy problems since the remediation. They also have a lifetime warranty on their service so long as you report things you find in a timely manner.

Critter Control tackled a tough wasp problem in my home with prompt, professional and competent service, and stood behind their warranty when some followup work was needed

My home is a large older house which we acquired two years ago. The house had a serious problem with wasps both in and around the house.
CC responded with sound technical advice, and subsequently they sealed every nook and cranny on the exterior.
A year later there was still a little wasp activity and CC's expert came by three times, giving us advice on how to keep bees out of the chimneys and also recommended an additional treatment inside the attic, all of which was done at no charge.

I heard noises in the night!!!!

I called Critter Control on January 19, 2015. I was able to get a appointment the next day for evaluation. When inspector arrived I showed him where both attics were thinking I had squirrels. After his inspection he called me up to the attic to show me what was going on. Not squirrels but RATS had invaded my home. Rat droppings and acorns all over.. I was so shocked and needed help. All I could do was asked when could we get started. The inspector was so nice and told me there was a several week wait list that they were so booked. I asked kindly could he please call and ask if there was any way a opening the next day . He kindly did and was told by some miracle a crew could come the next day.
Upon arrival they prepared my home for the evacuation of the rodents and insulation. All items in both attics were taken down for my inspection to see what was salvageable.all items to be disposed of where taken away by the crew that evening. The crew then proceeded to vacuum all insulation and rodents out my attics and bagged safely. When all clean a crew went up and sprayed disinfectant in both attics. After all that was completed I made the division to upgrade my insulation to a higher level and it sure has made a difference so for in the warmth of my home.
Durning the next 3 weeks inspection 3 more rats chewed into my outside wall upstairs and were trapped between floors. Critter control was able to re bait some traps and get them out. Re closed the damaged wall outside the house. As of today I am rar free..
Yes I would recommend Critter Control.

I had RATS??!!!

I called Critter Control of Houston - West because I was sure I had squirrels in my attic. We could hear scratching and small animals running above us and I knew they could do a lot of damage up there. When Critter Control came out to inspect my house, he didn't find any evidence of squirrels, but found a major infestation of roof rats! He showed me many of the markers such as droppings, well traveled trails, obvious burrowing places in the insulation, etc. I was mortified, but after reading the online reviews, knew I was in good hands. All insulation was vacuumed out along with "everything else" after all affected areas were disinfected. On the outside of the house, any possible areas of entry were sealed off or material replaced. All vents were screened along with all weep holes in the brick exterior. They blew in eco-friendly cellulose insulation containing boric acid and repaired all damage caused by the infestation. I will never have to worry about any "critters" in this house again! All of the workers were extremely nice and professional. I feel that they went above and beyond the call of duty to make me a happy customer and I highly recommend this company.
