In early December 2014 a raccoon invaded our attic. He stomped around quite loudly for two to three weeks before we decided he wasn't going to leave on his own. I saw Critter Control's advertisement in Angie's List magazine and decided to interview them.
First a salesman, Craig, visited and very clearly explained what the company could do to rid the attic of mice, rats, and the raccoon along with all their markings and potential diseases. Critter Control's full process was extensive: they decontaminated the attic with two agents - we had to leave the house for two hours while they fogged; then they used special safety vacuums to remove the old insulation. Next they blew in new treated insulation that will deter future creatures. The workers attended to potential entry spots on the roof, weep holes, and covered the roof vents with screens. Other workers made sure that damages caused by these visitors to our wiring and air ducts were adequately repaired. I think there were about eight or ten men working on this project. They worked co-operatively with one another. The work was done in one day. They were consciencous in covering up all our floor and furniture to avoid contamination and dust. Afterwards they reversed the process and did a very good job cleaning up.
Before leaving they set traps in case our guests returned. The company's warranty supervisor, Manuel, came out three separate weeks to check the traps for any evidence of new intruders.

Critter Control did an outstanding job getting rid of our critter problem. The crew lead (Ben I think) was very professional, polite, kept me informed about everything going on and obviously knew his job. I also like the follow up visits to check up on their work and the life time guarantee. Expensive but worth it knowing you won't have to pay for this ever again.

I heard a squirrel scratching at the corner of my house one day then a week later there was a thumping in the attic. Oh no...I knew I needed help and ASAP. I have known of other pleased customers of Critter Control Houston so I gave them a call. The person on the phone was so polite and very understanding and set me up with a Trapper in a very timely manner. Soon there were several Critter Control specialist at my door to my rescue. They arrived and put on shoe covers before even entering my property which I so appreciated for I have just finished a total restoration of my home I purchased just last year. They immediately proceeded to thoroughly survey my complete attic. When they came down they wanted to go to their truck to clean up before we discussed my issue. Well to my horror and surprise like so many others on this site I had a problem greater than the squirrel I had infestation of rats as well. They were doing damage to the wiring and my brand new duct work I just had installed 10 months ago. The trapper took pictures and took me up the stairs to show me the tracks and droppings to verify what he was telling me. As anyone that has faced this I was shaken to my core and disgusted that this can happen to a home that is well cared for and maintained. Critter Control being the professionals they are saw immediately how they got in to find their "nesting place" and then they presented a choice of procedures to eradicate the problem. Which included for me sealing complete house and garage, disinfection,removal,cleaning, repairing damage and replacing contaminated insulation. This was set up to be done in a few days which for me and I am sure any of you...the sooner the better. A crew of courteous very skilled professionals arrived before 8 am the morning of the job and worked non-stop all day and into the evening in 100 degree weather in August in Houston so I can only imagine the temp in the attic that day. But the crew with the Supervisor who is onsite the whole time first protecting the property and answering any questions and explaining to me once again what they would be doing ...it all began. The Company is bonded and I felt my home was in the best of hands so I chose to leave for the day but the Supervisor called me off and on during the day keeping me informed on the process. I returned to my property when they were finishing and the Supervisor took me around the property showing me the extensive measures they used to seal every hole or gap from Chimney and Plumbing on the roof to the weep holes and dryer having now a rodent free lint exhaust. Then up in the attic to see all the new insulation and repairs completed.
Critter Control came often in the next 3 weeks to walk the attic to verify that all is well. Over those 3 weeks several of the original crew were the ones that came out to inspect which was wonderful. I felt I already knew them and more important they knew MY property and what was found and what was done to rectify the issue. Also it was nice to be able to ask any questions I had directly to the men that were on the front line so to speak.
I truly hope this never happens to anyone else for it is a shocking position to be faced with but please believe me if it does you want to be in the best hands possible and that is Critter Control. This is a company of highly trained professionals. Not only do they strive to give the best service available but every employee from the Owner...to the technicians..to the office administration show compassion and concern for the property owners as well as the property. I liked the way the job was done. I especially liked the follow-up by an additional person to make sure the job was done correctly. The problems we were having with ants and roof rats seem to be solved. Someone did have to come back and treat again for the ants,

I did notice that caulking on a front gable is not complete. It looks like the ladder used was not tall enough.

Everyone I have encountered was very patient with me. They explained every part of the process and made me very feel very comfortable. Great company and great team.

From the first person I talked to over the phone to each person who came here do a hot, dirty job, they were all polite, courteous and self conscious about meeting my expectations. Ben came first on a Friday to find out what the problem was (a snake on the front porch on day and seeing a rat in the driveway that did not run away upon seeing me). He inspected the attic and found rat feces. Was told that rats burrow into insulation which can affect air conditioning eficiency. I also learned that the snake was probably following the scent of rats which they eat. On Monday, a team of workers, headed up by Jammy spent half a day cleaning out the house and garage attics, closing up every hole they found anywhere on the house to keep out 'varmits'. A scary piece of info was that they found snake eggs in the attic, too. I learned that the snake was following the scent of varmits, i.e. rats!!! But, now everything is secure and clean. The next day, a young man came out and sprinkled snake repellant all around the house. The next day, Ben came back to ensure I was satisfied. And, I most certainly am. Critter Control was very professional and did the job efficiently. They were clean and explained everything they did. The supervisor, Jayme, and his team was outstanding. I am very pleased with the job and I know they stand behind their work.

We decide to go with the full treatment in our attic to get rid of our unwanted pest. The outside of the house and the attic were treated as we were told it would be. No surprises.

These guys are awesome, the crew boss explained each step before they started, and was available on site to answer question or concerns, they stayed 12 hours to get everything done right. Critter Control responded and diagnosed the problem very quickly. They shuffled their schedule to accommodate mine and dispatched their crew out the next day. They kept me informed of their activities and performed exactly what they described to decontaminate my attic and blow in new insulation. At all times, the salesman and crew demonstrated their knowledge and provided consistent and thorough responses to my questions. I'm very satisfied with the work they performed, the precautions they took to protect my property and the professionalism exhibited throughout the process. At first, I really felt I was being upsold. Felt a little like a car salesman was trying to sell me something I didn't need.

I changed my mind and went with the service. While I don't think the problem was as bad as I was being sold on, I knew this service could take care of lots of problems at once.

The actual application of the service was close to flawless. Company did botch scheduling of service, but did not cause much of a problem. The job done on the outside of the house (sealing) was way better than I envisioned.

Clean-up was not terrific. Small mounds of insulation left in street (hopefully new), some metal filling left on sidewalk, and when the vacuuming at the end took place, the nightlight that had been in the outlet that was used was nowhere to be found when the crew left. Also found a couple of screws on the front walkway.

Overall, rather pleased that this is no longer a problem for my family and I can sleep better at night. Company did a good job with just a few speed bumps. I do think, however, that if I had quoted separate parts of the job out to several different companies, I could have saved money.

Well, if you have any problems with pests , we recommend critter control to find the problem and give some options for your problems. In our case, our problem was alarming to us so we went into deep thought about our options and decided to go along with the long term solution and we are happy I did because I can sleep now without the sounds of wild kingdom.

I had rats living in my attic!! These awful creatures even chewed holes, the size of a softball, in the eaves of my house. I was horrified. Phoned Critter Control on a Monday and by the following Wednesday they were at my house doing all the necessary work to get rid of this problem, and it was a lot of work. Wendy and John were very professional and kept me informed during the process. Being woken to the sound of clawing and scratching in my hot water closet one morning did not bode well for the start of my day. As I jumped out of bed and raced to my computer, a frantic google search turned up Critter Control. Thank goodness I went with my instinct to call them and not search further. By mid-morning, as promised, my knight in shining armor shows up to open the Pandora's Box known as my hot water closet and break the news as to what critter was invading my castle. After breaking the news that a rat had breached my closet, he set off to check the attic.

My neighbor recommended Critter Control after I complained that all her critters had come visiting in my attic. I was sold when she said the guys came out in haz-mat uniforms and cleaned all the old insulation and critters from my attic in one day. Not only that but they sanitize and deodorize before shooting in clean insulation that the critters can't stand. Again, all in one day.

We had a raccoon and rats in the attic, unknown to us. After getting over the initial sticker shock, we approved the work. They arrived when they said they would with a whole team. Each member was very professional and the team leader was fantastic. We had just purchased this house which is 34 years old. They went around outside and sealed every nook and cranny with silicone. They even closed up some holes in the inside of the house. All the attic insulation was removed. Then the attic was sanitized and new insulation was blown in.

Service just done three days ago and I am very pleased. Technician that came to access my problem was professional and very thorough with her examination! From the attic, to the garage, to the full exterior of my home. Everything was explained in detail to me and pictures shown. The crew arrived promptly at the specified appointment day and time. Again the head crew man explained everything that they were going to do. Five hours later my critter problem was gone, new insulation, grates on my roof vents, holes sealed up with flashing, caulking, and a grate over my dryer vent. Yes it is not cheap, but no more critters, and no entry points for new ones to get in. Plus a lifetime warranty that is transferable with sale of my house.
