Nice Finish!

I bought this to to make my exposed aggregate more attractive and it did.

I pressure washed it first.
And it was the first time I've ever used the round concrete cleaning attachment. I love that thing!

Maybe the South Louisiana humidity slowed the curing period because it still felt tacky several hours longer than mentioned on label.
But it has two coats and is dry and pretty with a nice deeper and semi gloss finish. Except for the area where I screwed up.

I wanted to try the brown tinted clear sealer but I bought the wrong product. And you know when you're doing something and you know somethings not right but you do it anyway? The product that I added was a solid tan color that I mixed into the clear sealer and I put it on and it looked like I painted the aggregate. I've not been able to completly remove color.
But the product works as it says and I'll buy again.e

Easy to use product

Shipped quickly. Very easy to apply. Dried quickly without any spotting or changing the appearance of the concrete. Too soon to tell how long the sealer will last and how effective it is in protecting the concrete

Best product for concrete

We poured 3600 ft.² of new concrete in our back yard and replaced our front driveway. Used foundation armor and could not be happier. Penetrated excellent is water repellent and definitely makes sweeping the snow and ice off a lot easier Since we do not use ice melt on the new concrete. Will be a forever customer

Works as advertised with great customer service.

I applied this product to my basement floor 6 months ago. The process went as described by the directions and I have no reason to doubt that it is not doing all it is advertised to do. Being the worry wort that I am i did have a few questions I wanted to ask about applying and curing processes that there customer service guy was more than happy to walk me through. That makes all the difference to me, so I give a A-1 rating.

Fantastic solution for my outbuilding workshop floor!

I recently had an outbuilding constructed for a workshop. I had been considering an epoxy floor finish and investigated many products thoroughly. However, a review article I read spoke of Siliconate floor sealers. I spoke with representatives from both companies manufacturing this type of sealer. By far, the best customer service was from Foundation Armor. After discussion of their various products, we agreed that the SC25 was the best choice for my intended application. I did purchase their SC25 Siliconate floor product and put two coats on with a roller and squeegee. Application was quick and easy. Dry time and coverage were as expected. Unlike epoxy floor finishes, the texture of the concrete floor is unchanged and it has retained its non-skid hand-troweled finish. Water beads up on the floor surface. Nothing has stained the floor since I have applied it. I also coated the exterior foundation and adjoining patio with great success. Snow doesn't even stick to the foundation. The floor looks great and I am extremely happy, not only with the product and final result but also the extensive discussion with a very helpful customer service representative at foundation armor. Shipping was fast. I would highly recommend this product. PS: When I called and we discussed their products, they also gave me a discount code to use for when I ordered.

1 GAL ARMOR SC25 PENETRATING WATER REPELLENT CONCRETE SEALER AND SALT GUARD

Customer service was great! I was originally looking at different sealer but after discussing my application with the sales person. SC25 would be better.
Applying was a breeze & I followed the instructions. Warm day, dry forecast, used a hand held sprayer.
Results: When it rained the walkway beaded up the water. Snow and salt = very disappointed; the few times it has snowed this year in W. PA, I applied salt to my walkway. The walkway is flaking in spots where the salt has been applied, so my assumption, the sealer isn't holding up.

If you experienced salt attack after applying the SC25, you most likely did not apply enough sealer to the concrete. After applying the SC25, the concrete should appear bright or dry looking in appearance as opposed to other areas that are not sealed. This product has been used to seal all of our northeast facility's sidewalks where salt and ice melts are frequently applied. Spalling, chipping, cracking and dusting have not been an issue. It's also possible that your concrete had been compromised from the elements and salt prior to sealing it (the SC-25 seals concrete but it does not repair previously degraded concrete).

Fantastic protection. Great service. Fast delivery.

I had one of our workers spray off our shop floor and slap the bucket of sealant on it and then spread it around. He is definitely not a meticulous worker like I would have been, but I didn't have the time. Even after a year of heavy use with tractor parts and trucks crashing and banging around on the shop floor, this thing is still holding up great and no peeling or cracking anywhere! I would highly recommend this material to anybody.

Didn't work for me

I had a 6 ft crawl space that had significant efflorescence on the cement floor but no visible water. I cleaned off the efflorescence and applied 2 coats of Armor 2000. After about a month the efflorescence returned as bad as before. I'm going to try another application but I don't expect much success.

Your concrete slab pores may have been deeply congested with efflorescence. The efflorescence removed was most likely superficial which did not allow the S2000 densifier to penetrate. Re-cleaning the concrete with a stiffer mix of muriatic acid (can also use an acid based product such as the the Armor ER100) should open up the concrete pores for better penetration. If you acid clean, make sure to neutralize the concrete after with ammonia and water or baking soda and water. The concrete pores can also be opened up more with a diamond grinder(concrete surface prep 2) or bead blaster (concrete surface prep 3) prior to treating with the densifier which should allow for better penetration and a deeper reaction (especially if the concrete surface was troweled smooth).

Seal and rust remover

Super nice people and coustomer service. I have a huge rust problem from fertilizer (iron) on my stamped concrete and they walked me through it.
I got most of the rust up and when I sealed the stamped concrete you could not tell. Looks great. Thanks guys.

Product has been great so far!

I really like the performance of the product so far. I would have gave it a 5-star but it has only been on my Belgarde patio for about 1 year. Easy to apply and the wet look has made it through at least one Ohio winter in great shape!

Would shop around more.

I kept telling the customer service rep. that I wanted a high gloss shine, and by that meaning I want it to shine like glass. I was assured the armor was exactly what I was looking for. However, it didn't..... It DID bring out the colors of my pavers, but no shine... It looked good when first applied, but after a week its appearance was dull. I ended up purchasing a different product and applying it over the armor. My patio now shines like a silver dollar. If you want a wet look shine like glass finish, I would not use the armor.

Hi Danny!

Next time, please consider contacting us so we can help you! What happens often with pavers is that they are very porous and soak up a lot of material. With the first coat, you will barely notice a difference so we suggest waiting 24 hours before applying a second coat. By the time the second coat cures you will start to notice a higher level of gloss. Depending on how heavy the product was applied, and how much time between applications you allowed, a third coat may be required. You have to proceed with caution however because while most acrylics are breathable, pavers allow for a lot of moisture to pass through. Over applying an acrylic will result in blushing (white haze) when moisture becomes present if it isn't allowed to leave. We don't like to provide a blanket set of instructions because we want to make sure that the product not only looks good, but lasts.

What happened with your situation is you allowed our product to provide a fully cured base so when you put another product on top of ours, it wasn't allowed to penetrate into the pavers and sat entirely on the surface - offering a shine. Had you applied another coat of our product, it would have shined like a silver dollar as well.

We are sad to know your experience wasn't perfect, but next time, please come to us! We are here to help!

Great!

This product did everything thing it said it would do. My 20 year old pavers look like new. When researching this product, called they listed phone number on the website, talked to the owner who gave advice on how to prepare and apply this product. How refreshing in this day and age!

Good, I think

I bought 2 pails of SC25 for my new garage floor (applied about 60days after it was poured). Shipping was fast. Sq footage was appox 1900ft. This was a power troweled surface so I hoped two 5 gallon pails were enough. I used a garden sprayer to put it down. It did not put a heavy enough coat down and I had to reapply what I had left (about 1/4 bucket) in the high traffic areas. Where I applied heavily, it seems to be working and creating a barrier. However, I should have purchased 3 buckets to coat heavily everywhere. I contacted foundation armor about buying a 3rd bucket at the discounted rate (cheaper when you buy two or more), explaining that i needed more than I originally thought and more than what their application recommendations were. I wasn't real happy having to buy a third bucket, but was wiling to do it and get the job done right. Well, I never heard back from them.

So, if you are considering SC25, order more, not less. And factor that into your budget if comparing other products.

It's good stuff

It's a great product, here in Colorado we get a lot snow and ice! It raises hell on the concrete surfaces. I've sprayed this product on a couple of years ago and through the time of removing snow, salting and raining once in awhile it's still beading up and running down the driveway. very cool! The customer service is willing to help at anytime when I've called with a question and it sounds like if I live closer they might even come over and help? Lol

Works well

Product was more difficult to apply than I anticipated (I used a sponge mop), but not too bad. Affect is noticeable and as expected; it protects my garage floor in the way I hoped it would.
