Interface is good. Dislikes: UIs must be closable and NOT interfere with reading text. Many times AI or other parts block text and cannot be removed unless Foxit is closed! (defect in your programming... See more

So many bugs, including mysterious sign in prompts for Microsoft whenever I open a file on my phone but no help from the tech team. Apparently this isn't a "known" problem so they won't investigate. I... See more

Be Careful!!

I downloaded Foxit pdf editor on 14 day free trial basis to see if I could use it for a specific document I was trying edit but was unable to - no doubt due to my own ineptness and no reflection on the software. However, once downloaded it insinuated itself as the default pdf editor and changed all the pdfs on my computer retrospectively to Foxit. So when the free trial ended and I didn't pursue the purchase I could no longer access any of my pdfs even though they were not created using Foxit. The uninstall component that came with Foxit didn't work. I had a horrible moment of feeling that I was being held to ransom to pay for software I didn't need or want but I found a way to uninstall it in the end and the pdfs (prior to the installation date) reverted to Adobe. It was scary though and I feel its deliberately built to do this.

No longer the best

I used to like Foxit Reader, but over the last few years they've obviously run out of things to improve, so, unable to leave it alone, have increasingly changed things for the worse or made the interface 'cleaner' by removing or deeply burying important/useful controls.

Utter Disappointment... THEY AREN'T RELIABLE

I'm utterly disappointed with this company after 5 years as they seem to have broken their promise with their customers who made a ONE-TIME purchase of 159$ with PERPETUAL LICENSE to full features for Foxit Phantom, namely 9.10.5096.

By the way, this is the ONLY version that open my files. Upper versions act up and shut down with sound-embedded heavy files of 15-60 MB.

As of JAN 30, 2022, I AM NOT ALLOWED TO PROTECT any of my PDF booklets because they are pushing for paid Foxit Application Subscription. I paid for this right with a perpetual activation and now, they are doing this to me. I'm a teacher teaching online and I can't do any encryption anymore. I can't continue my classes because of this and have to postpone them. I'm at a great loss.

I might have to take legal action to sue this company unless they reply my ticket with an apology and a hotfix.

While Phantom FOXIT PDF software is…

While Phantom FOXIT PDF software is quite good, the company customer service is atrocious. I have tried emailing, using their direct connection service via their website and even tired posting on their FB page. Nothing it seems will stir them from their slumbers. So my dilemma here is while I would say the actual software does what it says on lid, do not expect any customer support – they really are hopeless. Even cutting them slack for COVID-19 they kept me waiting for over one month to reply, what is going on? Finally I got ‘something back’ but that just faded away too. If you want to connect with these people, it’s probably easier to call Elvis.

The company is not trustworthy

The company is not trustworthy. They sent us the trial key which expired and we did not move forward because of a bug in the software. They created some invoice and sent it to collection!! How can you create and send invoice to collection if you never gave the production key?

PDF Compressor is a Great Product

PDF Compressor is a great product for creating compressed and searchable PDF's from scanned images (our primary application). It delivers better results than any other product we have tried. PDF Compressor is expensive but, as with most things in life, you get what you pay for. We just upgraded our license to be able to go faster and it runs without a hitch.

Set it and forget it

After reviewing a number of competing OCR servers, we settled on CVision's. Pre-sales support was excellent, but best of all, we haven't needed to do anything other than configure for our requirements, and it's been happily running, untouched for over two years now. In all this time, we've had to restart it twice: once due to a Windows update, and the next time was for installing a new release of Maestro.
