Freet shoes are among the most Barefoot I've ever had. They are wide, foot-shaped and very comfortable. Also a great company as regards returns and sizing advice. Highly recommended.

I really don't like having to complain about a company, but unfortunately the poor customer service and having to raise a dispute with my bank for a refund, has lost Freet yet another customer. I wi... See more

They're probably the cheapest non-scam barefoot seller out there. They glue instead of stich their shoes so you can't expect them to last a lifetime though. I think they're the go-to brand if you wann... See more

I've been wearing Freet shoes for around 2 years now, starting with the Tundra and more recently the Flex. I have been so impressed with both shoes - they are comfortable, flexible, hard-wearing,... See more

These are not barefoot shoes

I bought the York model. These are supposed to be barefoot shoes. The sole is more rigid than most of my normal shoes. There is also a ridge on the inside at the back of the shoes that is pressing against the back of my heel with every step. Worst shoes ever.

Unrealistic reviews, poor quality

On their website they publish only exaggerated happy customer reviews, giving you false impression on their production. I've bought two models, not bad, not excellent, just ok, have their pros and cons. I've posted a review with these pros and cons based on my experience, it wasn't approved, because it wasn't heavenly happy enough. Shoes itself after two weeks of usual wear started to fall apart.
My experience is bad both in communication and product quality.

Those are my review:

* On "Pace"
Really interesting model, I waited to share my experience in details, but while I waited, my pair has begun to fall apart. First, several laces loops come off (ok, I sewed them back), then some panel inside toe area unglued itself, don’t know how to fix this. That’s my detailed experience after a month of regular everyday use, sadly.

* On "Bootie M"
I am very confused with my experience with Bootee. I was buying them for hiking and commuting in a lightly wet conditions, which seems like an intended use case. But it does not worked out for me, for two reasons

1. Extremely slippery on wet surfaces. The most slipperiness I have ever experienced both in everyday and hiking shoes. Natural materials, artificial – everything can be tricky. I was doing a well-known and well maintained trail in Booties, and for the first time I was clinging for the hand rails on stairs, streams crossings, etc. Wet wood fills like ice. In city, during a light rain, I had slipped twice while crossing the road. I just fill myself in danger, really.

2. Water resistance in fact is brilliant. Three hours of light rain, wet grass — my feet stayed dry. Except toes. Toes go wet almost immediately and will stay this way. I don’t feel this like leaking, more like some complicated physics including temperature, condensation, etc. But feels awkward.

3. Other moments. I wear them without insoles, which give me clumsy and unstable feeling (I am spoiled by the fivefingers). Without insoles performance is ok. Also, I find the ankle collar stiff and harsh, especially for the achilleas, but that’s just me.

So, in general, the model is very promising, but in my experience is kind of unusable in wet conditions. In dry days I would choose more light and flexible footwear.
