Super friendly and experienced staff

The level of expertise August Beck possessed was beyond my expectations. As a newcomer in DK, it was extremely important to find a bike with great quality. He quickly understood my needs and offered me multiple choices of bikes, which made me feel safe of my final decision.
Definitely recommended!

Beyond great service!

Never was I so well treated in a bike store. Niklas was so helpful and kind, solved all my issues! Great price, great service, great products.
Recommend it to anyone.

super professional service

I purchased the bike via an online store and picked it up in a stationary store, the entire purchase took me 5 minutes. The next day, a person from the Esbjerg store contacted me and congratulated me on the purchase and made sure I had chosen the right frame. It was a very nice experience. When the bike was ready for collection, I received a text message and I could enjoy my new bike.

From the moment I stepped into their shop I knew I’m in the right place!
First I want to say many thanks to Fri BikeShop for their implication in helping me find the perfect bike. The customer service was very professional, kind and friendly.
I felt like I was talking with a friend rather than an employee.
On the second hand I was impressed on how fast and easy everything went. I was yesterday at their shop and now I have my bike ready to ride! I consider this an essential aspect since for me time it’s precious.
I’m more than happy with my decision thanks to Fri BikeShop, and I will definitely visit them whenever I’m in need.

Arrogant attitude and breach of contract

The below is a copy of an email sent to the customer service of Fri BikeShop two weeks ago.
So far, I have not heard from them.
Breach of contract is a very serious offense and it seems they just prefer to turn a blind eye.
So according to my experience, refrain from getting into this shop and do not get misled by the good reviews on trustpilot, they cannot be real, I tend to believe that they are just bought.

Hello Fri BikeShop Kunderservice,
My name is Alberto Climent with address in XXXXXXXXXXX 2800 Kongens Lyngby and I bought a second-hand Batavus Finez Power Exclusive in October 2022. The bike was bought, as new, a few months before, on 24 May 2022 as indicated in the invoice attached from Fri BikeShop Vanløse.
The owner of the bike bought as well the service Fri BikeSmart and he told me that I could use it for the rest of the contract since it was attached to the bike and not the owner. At that time I called Fri BikeShop in Vanløse and they told me that I could pass by the shop and they will conduct the regular service to the bike.
I drove today with the bike to Fri BikeShop Vanløse with the intention of having the service conducted and to have a look at the rust in the front fork and brake disks and other components with the aim of getting it repaired or the fork changed. The employees told me that they could take care of the service and of the rust, since the rust on the fork was a known issue on the Batavus bikes, but they offered me the possibility of using another Fri BikeShop which was closer to my address; this is the one in Lyngby, Klampenborgvej.
Therefore I took the bike to the Fri BikeShop in Lyngby, but the following happened:
• An employee called Thomas told me that Fri BikeShop Lyngby could not take over the Fri BikeService contract from Vanløse Shop since the bike had “remtræk” and that I had to take the bike back to Vanløse. I could not understand this since Lyngby also sell bikes like mine at that shop.
• Then I told Thomas that they could take care of the front fork rust and he claimed that the rust in the front fork was due to a bad maintenance and that they could not do anything about it. As you can see in the pictures attached, the bike is in perfect condition, it is stored in my closed store room and the rust is clearly located in the fork and the brake disks, whereas the rest of the metal component of the bike were without any sight of rust. He told me all this from a distance of 2 meters; he did not get closer to the bike to get a closer detail.
• Then I asked Thomas why the rest of the metallic components of the bike did not have any rust and he responded that that was because tools were used on those parts and therefore these removed the rust (I could not believe this reasoning)
• I was shocked by Thomas´ behaviour. He did not seem at all interested in continuing the conversation with me.
• I asked Thomas to introduce me to the manager of the shop and his reply was that he was not available at the moment.
• The attitude of Thomas, at the Lyngby Shop, was not at the level of what I was expecting when he did not even got closer to the bike to look at the rust and he did not even show interest in looking at the rust in the brake disks.
• The situation was very uncomfortable to me and I had the impression that he just wanted me to leave the shop. Therefore I left.
• It is my understanding that Batavus has a 2 year guaranty for rust as per their website.
I would like to hear from Fri BikeShop Customer Service regarding the above with an explanation about why Lyngby could not take over the service contract from Vanløse, why Lyngby rejected to cover the service of the contract, why Lyngby is not covering Batavus rust guaranty and why the employee called Thomas acted on this unprofessional way with an absolute lack of a minimum understanding of customer service and an unappropriated arrogance for a Fri BikeShop employee.
