I wouldn’t have given one star but you can’t seem to write the review without it. So went on compare and recycle to see the best price for an iPhone 13 pro max. Was quoted £418 by Frift. Had an email through to say they had revalued my phone as “ rear of device looks and feels like its been replaced chassis and screen show signs of wear” but didn’t give a figure. My phone has never had anything replaced and the photos I took show the screen is perfect. So I clicked on the quote button to see what they were willing to offer. Apparently hitting this button means you are accepting the new offer???? Wrote an email 1 minute later asking them not to send the payment but send my phone back. Had an email from Tom saying I accepted the offer and they have an audit trail. I too have an audit trail which states that I do not accept the offer as I did not know what I was accepting and have photos of my phone showing it has no damage to the screen or rear chassis. Received the bank transfer for £290…. Have never had this problem with any other recycle company. Please avoid them!!

Like another customer I was quoted £166 for an iPhone 11 in good condition, but they came back saying it was only worth £120 because it had ‘deep scratches’ on the reverse.
Can’t add a photo but any scratches are very minor and superficial and my ‘good’ description was accurate, so requested phone back. Rip off as previous 1 star customer said, so beware.

So got a quote on a good condition Iphone 11 for £174, sent the device and got an email today telling me the device is faulty(no reason) and revised quote is £100. I did try this company after reading the positive reviews but sorry to say they trying to rip me off. Definitely cancelling this order and not using them again.

Recently sold my phone to Frift via a comparison site - on the comparison site, I clearly checked that the phone was in 'Good' condition and not 'Excellent' when filling out the form. I was happy with the quote given to me via the site and the next day, I received the package to send off my phone to Frift.
Sent the phone to Frift and got an email saying that my phone was not in 'Excellent' condition and I would now be getting an offer £100 less than what I was expecting... I clearly filled out the form noting it was not in 'Excellent/New' condition.
So I rejected the offer and called them to discuss, where they told me what the email said... blah blah phone is not in excellent condition, which I clearly told them from the start - it's in a very GOOD condition, always been in a case and has slight scratches on the screen.
They then offer me £15 on-top of what they offered me, and then retracted that offer. In the end I couldn't be bothered with the hassle of waiting another 2 days to receive the phone back and then send it off to a better recycling site - so took their offer, and honestly the bloke on the phone was really polite and professional, no real complaints about him, other than maybe not offering something outside of your jurisdiction or without permission first?
I think there tactics are underhanded and they do it on purpose, knowing that people cannot be bothered to deal with the headache of receiving and resending again.
If I send my phone off in Good condition, I expect to get the price given to me for a Good condition phone.
Won't be using them again, and if you are thinking off sending a phone to them that isn't brand new, don't bother - they'll bend you over
Also, they mention same day pay out... well they don't, they pay the next day... or up to 3 days...
EDIT TO THEIR REPLY - 06.12.17
Load of rubbish, I used the comparison Compare and Recycle when I sold to Frift, I clearly clicked that the condition was 'good' and not 'excellent' or 'new'
Example below (price has gone down £30 since)
Example - go on Compare and Recycle, click Sell Apple iPhone 13 Pro 128GB in GOOD / WORKING condition and NOT EXCELLENT/NEW and the quote to date is £335 but mine was £360 when I sent it earlier. I checked GOOD condition, and not EXCELLENT as you have stated.
Again, don't waste your time with these lot. You have my email, if you want to discuss this further, but again - you just rope people into sending you their phone and hope they cannot be bothered with the hassle of returning it and resending to another firm.

Very simple process of posting the phone and to get a call back confirming the next actions was great - top communication - thanks

Amazing service from Chloe and the team at Frift! Got a quote within 5 minutes online, that was nearly £50 more than what Apple was offering for the exact same device. Dropped my phone off, it was looked at the very same day and the funds were in my bank within the hour. Could not recommend enough 👍

Sent an immaculate mobile phone, offered £103.50. Told the battery was below 85% so would need to be replaced and offer £35 - shocking and an absolute con. They then charge you £10 to send your phone back. AVOID

Initial offer was very low but Tom rang and increased offer as costs had changed. Package arrived and easy to use.

I recently went to sell my phone, sent with no problem. Unfortunately the offer lwas deducted so I requested my phone back. After sending my phone, I read reviews on the company which panicked me into thinking my phone wouldn't be returned, I will be charged, won't be able to get through to customer services etc... THIS WAS NOT THE CASE FOR ME! I got through to them straight away and spoke to lovely man who assured me my phone was there and was being checked. I then had an email to confirm by a team member by the name of Tom. I then received the offer which I wasn't keen on, so requested my phone to be returned. I also emailed Tom to request my phone to be returned as I would like to decline the offer. Tom replied instantly with no problem and will send it back. He then also gave me a tracking number and my phone was sent back to me within 24 hours without charge! Although a sale couldn't be made, I had not one single problem with this company and I was made to feel at ease with the very helpful, and responsive Tom... so thank you so much Tom for making this an easy, non-worrying situation. I do not have a bad word to say about the customer service, and I am happy how everything was dealt with from start to finish (even without selling the phone) so thank you again.

I'm really upset to be told that Frift can't locate my phone. I sent using their postage pack, and I was relying on that money to get me through a difficult month, but they can't seem to find it, and I have no idea what I can do about it. Please help and I will then retract my review. Thank you

Valued phone then when they received it they revalued £60 less than the original , then had to pay £10 to have it returned to me
Would not recommended this company , it’s been 2 weeks and they still have returned my phone .
They said phone was scratched and Evidence of it being dropped , I gave before photos that show this isn’t true ! If I ever get the phone back it will be interesting to see what it looks like now!
In response to the below there is nothing wrong with the device ! It’s not scratched and I would say good condition

Thief's took my phone and haven't paid!
I got a phone valued and sent it in as requested, it's been over 2 months and haven't heard anything, despite leaving messages on the site, calling number provided and emailing the customer services. Absolutely proposterous behaviour and pathetic customer service, just lost a potential customer. I want my phone back if you're not paying up!
Do not use this company! I sent my phone off for £204 and it was immaculate - was then offered £130 due to deep screen scratches and marks on casing. They have you as they know you have to pay to get the device returned.
Awful company

My phone has had a screen protector and case since day one and these guys are saying it has cosmetic damage. Not a chance!
If it has damage now then it’s because you have damaged it. Absolutely disgusting that I am now getting a phone back in worse condition than I sent it. A fraud of a company.

I upgraded my phone and got a quote on the Frift website for my old phone (an iPhone 12). It had slight superficial scratches but no major issues. I described it as ‘fair’ due to its age and was quoted £165 which was the best price I’d seen whilst researching.
When accepting the quote, the process takes you through arranging to send the item. I chose Royal Mail collection (free) and the phone was picked up the next day.
Frift received the phone the day after it was collected and in the afternoon I got an email from them saying the £165 payment was being processed. Payment was received this morning (within 24 hours of the email).
A quick and efficient service which I’d recommend to others. I’d take the bad reviews with a pinch of salt - if you’re describing your item realistically there’ll be no problem.
