What an amazing company

What an amazing company . The level of service and professionalism is simply incredible . Jake ,Orion ,Yuki and Dwight -yes you get to interact with real people -helped me immensely in securing and item I had wanted for a long time. Nothing was too much trouble and they were helpful and gracious all throughout the process. And the items are of top quality and the shipping is fast and efficient. Wholeheartedly recommend this company

Fast Delivery

First purchase on FromJapan

Sharing my first purchase on FromJapan

POSITIVE
1. Zero foreign transaction service fees
Paypal/Stripe charges a small percentage for foreign transaction service fees but FromJapan does not. For example your credit card gets charged for 10000 yen instead of 10000+350 yen

2. Generous campaigns
For example 8% off Mercari and 10% off JDirectItems Auctions. Also there is FJ Mall discounts too.

3. Clear differentiation of fees
There are Charge1 and Charge2 which shows the separate fees for example item fees, service fees, tax if applicable, shipping fees etc

4. Huge selection of shipping options
Compared to other 3 proxies I have used, FJ has the best selection of shipping options! Prices are quite accurate too when matched against the provider's actual website.

5. Price negotiation on select items
Some items allows price negotiation up to 10% with the seller.

6. Fast withdrawal/release of funds
If you release your fund before end of business day, you get your funds back on the same day.

7. Good customer service and quick response

1. Lack of information

- no details on size/weight on shipped parcel

2. Confusing bidding on JDirectItems with tax
I missed to apply a coupon on my first bid of 4700 yen (before tax), so I went to place the next higher bid of 4800 yen (increment of 100 yen) to apply the coupon. However I can only place a bid of 5270 yen (4700 + increment 100 + tax 470). I reached out to customer support but they are unable to help and just mentioned this may be because the current bid is already higher than 4800 yen, yet there is no other bid for the item except for my very first bid of 4700 yen! I just gave up on bidding the item after that.

3. Confusing navigation
- no direct link to order history; you have to go inside each shipping history to get to the order details
- many of the link on Service Menu seems not useful as I hardly need to click on it

Straightforward and timely, note extra fees for domestic shipping

Great service. Linking to the original Mercari Japan listing was easy. Then you go through 2 charges before receiving the item. First, I was charged the item's original price, and FROM JAPAN handles the actual purchasing of the item. It took about a week for the item to arrive at FROM JAPAN's warehouse, which then prompted me to supply them my shipping address. For the 2nd charge, you pay a commission fee and shipping fees. Because I was shipping within Japan, I had to pay an extra 1,661 yen (1,220 for domestic shipping within Japan + 441 for non-international delivery fee), so just expect that extra cost if you're trying to ship to a Japan address. I received the item within 48 hours. I did have to sign for it, so unsure what would have happened if I was not home to receive it. Item is as described, so I'm happy 👍

Absolutely terrible customer service

Absolutely terrible customer service. I placed 7 orders through FJ three days ago, and today I decided to check their status, but I couldn't log into my account! Support responded by email saying they found it impossible to provide me with services! I paid a total of $700 for these orders, and they simply blocked me and took my money. Scammers.

Shipping and Customer services are crappy

I received Shipment 20661499 (27kg) that I unboxed live on Facebook (video proof available), but instead of some of my anime/manga gadgets bought (mostly Rose of Versailles from edition-88.com, now sold out), key items were missing while my box included someone else’s unlabeled ceramics (3kg extra)!
I paid FJ fees, extra shipping & customs due to their packing mistake.
After dozens of emails since Dec 2025, I only got robotic replies from “Jess”: “investigation ongoing”, “management priority”, “holidays/delays”, NO refunds, NO items found, NO manager! And I cannot buy the missing items again as the preorder time frame is now past.
I lost my Christmas gifts, wasted costs, and feel like a betrayed Platinum client (130k¥ spent in 2025).

Avoid FromJapan: chaotic warehouse, support dodges blame onto courier/FedEx (box intact!), no answer / reimbursement after one month and a half, and I fear they will mess up my upcoming shipments too.

I am disgusted, and looking to switching to alternative proxies.

Best proxy - plat rank

Started with other proxy services but eventually switched to FromJapan. In my opinion, it has one of, if not the best UI interface. Quick service, decent fees, and nice customer support. Only downside is exorbitant shipping rates, albeit extremely fast.

Good experience

Good website, excellent support, nice discounts.

I've been using FromJapan for about 2-3…

I've been using FromJapan for about 2-3 years now as a proxy service to buy mostly Tokusatsu goods and the occasional plush toys.

With weekly sales for the various services and the generous amount of coupons they give out, I've yet to find a better Proxy service than FromJapan.

The boxes are tightly and well-packed with the items securely fastened, I've yet to have a bad encounter with the packaging.

I've had my issues with items going missing or packages going missing entirely through the post, but the staff were very helpful and honest about my situation, even compensating me with FJ points alongside a refund.

FromJapan is an excellent proxy for what I use it for, and I often recommend it to any of my friends who also wish to buy Japan-Exclusive goods.

According to our records, we contacted you on September 25 regarding your shipment (Shipment No: 20142018 / UM437749985US). The package was returned to our U.S. Oregon warehouse after it entered Poland because it was not collected from the local post office within the required timeframe following a delivery attempt.

As stated in our previous email, when a package is returned due to non-collection, we are unfortunately unable to issue a refund, as collection from the post office is the recipient’s responsibility if delivery cannot be completed at the address. This is also consistent with international shipping carrier policies.

That said, we did inform you that the package is safely stored at our warehouse, and we are able to re-ship it to Poland upon payment of a new international shipping fee (Charge 2). We did not receive a reply to our previous message confirming whether you wished to proceed with re-shipment, which may have caused the impression that the matter was left unresolved.

If you would still like us to arrange re-shipment, or if you need us to resend the details, please contact our customer service team and we will be happy to assist promptly.

We sincerely regret any confusion or inconvenience caused and thank you for your understanding.

Satisfied with this site.

I won an auction about a month ago and received the item yesterday. The packaging was perfectly secure; there was no risk of the Cel being damaged. I'm very happy with this first experience.

I won a second auction on January 13th, which I will finalize soon.

This site was recommended to me, and frankly, I'm not disappointed. Customer service is responsive and replies very quickly.
