Used Will from John Blenkiron and Sons, he did my mum proud. Was very professional, listen to what we wanted. Would definitely recommend both Will and the funeral directors

My family has used John Nodes Funeral Service, Ladbroke Grove, for decades and always trusted them to treat us with care and respect. Sadly, my recent experience arranging my relative’s headstone engraving has been deeply upsetting.

Despite many months of clear communication and follow-up by me, my emails and calls were repeatedly ignored, and important information that should have been explained from the start was never given. The communication has been dismissive and insensitive, and I have still not received a response to my formal complaint — not from John Nodes, nor from Funeral Partners Ltd, who own them. I have not even received an acknowledgement from Funeral Partners Ltd.

No apology has ever been offered in any correspondence, despite their clear failings.

After a lifetime of trust in this company, it is very upsetting to be treated this way

Following my wife's memorable cremation by Daren Persson, 13 March 2025 at Tynemouth, I was still unable to finish her Tribute Site. I wanted the order of service with music. With no knowledge of mp3, who could I call for help? I rang Darren Persson and they uploaded four tunes onto my wife's tribute site the same day. Another outstanding example of customer care.
