Complete waste of my time

Arranging someone to visit was painful as emails weren't read properly (for instance after requesting a visit and supplying full address/What3words/phone number, I was emailed back asking for precisely that information, took 3 attempts to get a reply about how payment was to be made etc).
However, booking was made, took time off to ensure I was here and that everything was ready. Nobody turned up, when I emailed to ask where they were (no phone number supplied), I was told they'd been out 2hrs earlier but no one was home, and supplied me with a photo of a house which isn't mine. Given that I'd supplied the What3words address there should have been no possibility of such a mistake.
Can't say anything about the repair as I will not have them out now, they've wasted too much of my time already.

Rip Off - Avoid

Rip Off - Avoid at All Costs. I would give a minus score if I could because they sent a so called specialist technician to repair our sofa who was in our house for approx 20 minutes and charged £185 payable before they left. If I could upload photos of the state of our sofa I would and urge anyone to steer clear at all costs. They don’t reply to emails and now our sofa is ruined and we’re £185 out of pocket.

AVOID

‘Dave’ is now trying to remove my reviews. Here we go again……

He does a quick fix and then you soon realise the work hasn’t been fixed. He charges £125 (like other reviews) and refusing to come back unless you pay a further £125. He came to do some stitching on a sofa and it became undone in 3 days. He refused to come back although the paperwork states 30 day guarantee. The paperwork has no VAT number, no address and no contact telephone.

Contact trading standards as soon as possible so this guy can be caught!!

This is the email address he using is an hotmail account and the company name on it is ‘leatherrestoration’

Also when I paid the bank account was under the name of Stephen Nifton - Leather Repairs.

Terrible Leather Restoration Company non repair

Had two sofas “ repaired “ springs gone.
When we re- opened the worst sofa realised it was repaired using a cable tie !
Paid Stephen Nifton unfortunately by bank transfer so it appears there is no recovering the £255 we paid for the non repairs.
Couldn’t report before as unable to find anyway of contacting or reviewing them until looking up Stephen Nifton
Originally emailing Dave at leatherrestoration company.
Dreadful company do not use. Will report now to Trading Standards so that no other people get caught out like this on

frustrating

We asked them to repair some broken springs on one side of the sofa. This was done fairly quickly. While the person was there, my wife asked them to look at other springs in case they needed changing but they did not do it. After a month and a bit, on the same side of the sofa another spring broke. Ever since, we have had a number of emails trying to figure out if this was the same spring that was repaired, or another one. "Dave" has not been helpful at all. I would avoid them.

furnituremend.co.uk rip off

Rip off company, don't know what they are doing. Can't even replace a thin piece of sponge? Charged £125 to plump up a sofa seat and didn't finish the job properly. The attitude of "Dave" was disgusting when the problem was brought up and excuses were made. Do not use this company and save your money...
