G+S came and did my home report for my property. Kevin came to do it and he was extremely professional and helpful. The report was carried out and emailed over in a great timely manner and I am happy with the report. Would recommend G+S to anyone.

Craig was very thorough, knowledgeable, professional and courteous throughout the process. He took the time to explain what would happen and carried out a detailed survey of our property answering all questions we had along the way. This is the 2nd time we have used Graham & Sibbald over the last few years and both times they have been excellent and provided the correct level of detail and accuracy within the Home reports. Highly recommend using them. A big thank you to Craig and Laura for the excellent service and communication.

Dominic arrived to carry out home report. He guessed the value! When confronted about his guesstimate! and showing him comparable figures in the same area, same properties he increased by a whopping £20,000 .Still undervalued. He failed to return calls ignored emails and ignored text messages too.When I complained to his superiors they adopted a couldn't care less attitude too.Once they have your money the don't care. Sold the house at a loss.

He was very friendly, communicative, knowledgable, with excellent manners, patient with our questions and clearly explaining them. Sean Hadden was the surveyor who visited out flat in Dalry Colonies in July to conduct a survey and produce a home report. He was on time, very polite, friendly and professional. Answered all my questions and produced the report within 2 days.

Not happy with Graham + Sibbald. was absolutely upset with Home evaluation 30 percent less then current market asking price in our region.!!!!. Took another agency 1 week later. less expensive fee. Received correct home report price evaluation. Received offer 15 percent more asking price after being 3 days on the market. Not advices, this agency expensive and frustrating. you will loose your property evaluation and money!

Guys appeared and carried out a thorough inspection of my property asked some valid questions hope gave them the information they where looking for . But carried out the survey very efficiently, and friendly guys...

This was a very competent and smooth service. Home survey was completed promptly with courtesy and respect for the property. Enquiries were answered swiftly with guidance given.
From all aspects, admin through to completion I have respect and absolutely recommend them without hesitation.

Spoke to them a couple of times about putting our pub on the market, he asked me to jump through some hoops and send photos over, sent relevant links and some photos, didn’t even get a response back. (Sent over 2 weeks ago)The agent didn’t come across particularly professional, but gave them an opportunity. My gut was right in the first instance. Lots of other commercial agents out there and are now marketing with one of them.

I’ve used Graham and Sibbald twice and have had major issues both times. Would recommend avoiding at all costs.

First time I used them was to do a home report for our flat in Shawlands. The surveyor came out and after saying everything was fine, left a 2 for damp and rot with a statement that made it sound like the property needed to be condemned. After paying for a damp and rot specialist and being told there is nothing wrong at all, we had to fight to get it down to a 1 but the written blurb still had to have a dig that anyone who buys it needs to make sure they see a damp/rot report to ensure the property is up to scratch. A very stressful situation that was un-necessary.

Forward 18 months later, we are selling my deceased Gran’s house. We go with an estate agent who recommends G&S. I was reluctant given past experience but assured it would be fine. The home had a lot of wear and tear and needed significant roof work, so it was going to be a lot of 2s and maybe the odd 3 which was expected. The G&S surveyor came round and inspected the property which was fine. Then he went into the attic. Suddenly I heard a loud smash. He had opened the part of the attic that led to the skylight and stepped too close to it causing part of the glass to shatter and fall onto the upstairs landing. Luckily I was downstairs and not injured. When I asked what had happened his response was “It’ll need replaced anyway.” No apology. Found out this was one of the directors. We then had wanted to put a claim in against G&S for ruining a unique feature the house still had, but our estate agent told us claiming would take months with G&S so instead we got the home report fee waived and had to use that money to get rid of the whole skylight and replace it with a painted piece of wood so it wouldn’t look terrible.

I would never use them again. If you’re selling your house, don’t trust them with doing your home report. It could cause something small like forcing you to pay for reports you don’t need or ruining unique features in your home and causing you lots of undue stress.
