Pre-orders Delayed

Pre-orders for The Old World with two weeks prior notice on store collection "were delayed" and won't be available for a week.

You pay more on the official on the assumption they will honour their own release dates.

Why would you ever buy from the official site if it's as delayed as they force on their independent stockists?

I wish I had read these reviews before I purchased. Xmas gifts ordered on Dec 3rd 2023. There is still no sign of the parcel. The tracking info has not been updated since January 2nd. I have sent several emails to the company & the issue remains unsolved & I'm not sure they even care. So no, I cannot recommend this company nor would I ever purchase from them again.

Once again Games Workshop has been a…

Once again Games Workshop has been a major letdown.

Today, 13-01-2024, The End and the Death vol. III Limited Edition went on pre order. The "new and "improved"" website had the queue turned on, however, their security is so shoddy, that all it took the scalpers to bypass the queue, was a simple user agent switcher, to pose as a search engine.

Book was sold out at 9.56, after going live at 9.55, the bots had free reign on the site as the vast majority was sat in the queue like the law abiding citizens they are. Usually the queue lets a limited edition last at least 20-25 minutes, today it was incredibly obvious that scalpers had spotted the glaring hole in security.

I'm so close to giving up on this hobby, their crappy stance towards their fans keeps getting worse.

GW lost it's soul

GW is a publicly traded company and cares little for the customer experience.

Their website is a crapshoot with a queue system that doesn't keep your place and WILL increase your time spent in the queue ensuring you cannot pre-order any limited edition items.

They hardly ever have any stock in, with new systems/models being out of stock for weeks/months after release (check out Legions Imperialis).

I honestly don't recognise this company anymore. It's only concern now is profits, CEO wage increases and paying shareholders.

almost all models in the lord of the rings game is temporarly out of stock, and they can't tell if and when it is coming back. Hard to start an army, when you can't buy it. There delivery is also very long when you order from the webside

Unreliable and very poor customer service

Ordered twice from them now with items showing as being in stock on the GW website only to be told 2 weeks later after taking and holding my money that orders not able to be fulfilled and as such cancelled and refunded. No gesture of goodwill offered despite complaining to customer services. Will buy elsewhere in future. Awful organisation.

Hates their customers

Been to the warhammer store about 10 times and every time the shelves are empty. The employees just try and place an online order. If I wanted to do that I wouldve just bought from amazon (or chinacast)

Website is designed to confuse 30-40yr old mums.

Firstly the website is a confounded mess that has no direction, there are no side bars to find specific items, the options for figuring out what products belong to which part of the website is a shambles. Products and their relevant counterparts are not even in the same post code as each other, Drukhari and Aeldari products come to find, a basic bog standard embarrassing waiting list to actually get onto the website that has either been bought from wordpress or was a discarded prototype from the early 2000's.

The company seems desperate to earn as much as they can from the so called "whales" or from their biggest consumer base, the 30-40 year old mums and so the website is built around confusing and funneling as much money from those individuals as possible.

The website has little to no information and despite their best attempts to make a so called streamlined and easy process they have made a confusing, mishmash of website pages that offer little to no information and only create more questions than answers.

I spent over an hour waiting to enter the website and when I finally did it crashed and chucked me back to a waiting list. I advise you to look elsewhere for information as the website only offers you a near zero calorie diet of the relevant information you require to make an even basic informed decision. Such an embarrassment that a pillar of the miniature hobby has burned its down to a pile ash being blown away by the wind.

Worst delivery service in the uk

Ordered a parcel mid November, and it still hasn’t arrived. No xmas presents for my family… spoke to customer services over a week ago who said it has been picked and was due for delivery so would arrive in time. It hasn’t.

It would be zero if that was an option

It would be zero if that was an option. Ordered weeks ago and order has not been dispatched. Will not refund and I will have to returns products if they arrive after Xmas. Withholding my finances so I cannot even replace them via another vendor. Shocking customer service replies with no knowledge of even the delivery address and poor attitude.

Pre-order promises are NOT being kept.

I made an order on the 25 of november during a pre-order.
My order was "Accepted"...
Then 15 days later, I still have not received my order. I contact customer support, who will look into my order.
Two days later, half my order arrives and the rest of my order is cancelled a few hours after some items have arrived to my address.
Completely unacceptable behaviour. Creating fake scarcity by using pre-order systems, and then not even able to fulfill those pre-orders.

Shocking

Shocking. Used to get orders next day, back in the good old days. Placed an order two weeks ago and its still not even despatched as of yet. For a company of its size. The new website, and its customer service are a joke. Ive relunctantly given it one star because I couldn't score it less here. They don't deserve one star though. They haven't done anything to earn a star yet other than take my money and deliver no service.

I'm shocked how such a great product can be so badly managed. If you can order their product from any other 3rd party seller for the love of God, do it! You'll save yourself the frustration of Warhammer.com

Take your money, then take their time

Ordered £200 Products in stock from GW site whilst in my local store. Paid immediately , got a confirmation of six day delivery to the store, now on day fifteen, contacted GW, my products are on a picking list, but havent been picked or dispatched as yet. So essentially someone has taken over two weeks to print out my order. Unacceptable and dismal service. Yet again .No idea when this stuff is going to arrive. Terrible communication, even worse supply systems. No faith in this company at all. Its a shame because the stores themselves are worth supporting. GW take the money, then take their time.

Gw have gone down hill over past couple of years and now we have a poor website and staff in stores that don't like you going in there on weekdays to do hobby stuff. Their customer service never answer emails properlyand dodge questions like a politician. They seem to care more about supporting the scalpers market than genuine customers and hobbiests. Can't buy stuff as alot of it is limited run. The company has gone down hill in every way possible.

Use any other supplier than the Web store

Placing an order online should be an easy process. It's really hard to mess it up. That said I can confidently say I have had the worst ordering experience from the warhammer Web store.

Frustration 1:
There was no indication that the delivery time for an order was anything shocking when I placed the order. Turns out it's 6 working days!

Frustration 2:
After the 6 working days passed my order still hadn't even been picked! I contact customer service and they're quoting 9 working days!

Frustration 3:

After 9 working days it's STILL not been delivered!

I appreciate that in the days of amazon expectations are higher than maybe reasonable for delivery times. However this is a joke.

Dear Oh Dear. What a shame.

I don’t know where to begin with how far Games Workshop have fallen in the last few years. A good British company that has completely lost it’s way. The last 4 orders I have made have not been fulfilled for one reason or another. They constantly advertise products for sale that they don’t have in stock. They take your money and then tell you a week or two later that they can’t fulfil your order and offer you a whole or partial refund. They advise that the items you want are out of stock in one warehouse and not another but because your whole order needs to come from the one warehouse they can’t proceed. This is explanation comes with no apology and they customer service advisers feel like this is a perfectly reasonable excuse as to why they have taken your money and refuse to fulfil your order - “All of your order has to come from one warehouse, we can either cancel your order or give you a partial refund and send out part of your order”. It’s always MESBG as well. They couldn’t care less about that game now by the way. It used to be that GW had people passionate about the hobby that wanted high standards. Now you are lucky if you get what you paid for. I think it’s only a matter of time now until they fold. They have relied far too long on a loyal customer-base that they continue to alienate with unreasonable pricing and poor customer service. Now independent producers create more affordable minis using their own 3D printers. If that’s the case it’s a shame but they are hardly going down with a fight. No festive voucher this year based on your spend either. Think it’s only a matter of time.
