I dined at Garden Restaurant & Wine Bar…
I dined at Garden Restaurant & Wine Bar with 3 other guests on Thursday evening, September 12th.
Starter: Steamed sole with white cabbage. One of my guests thought it consisted of too much cabbage and too little sole. Her portion of sole was unfortunately significantly smaller than what the rest of us received. My own portion had enough sole, but I thought the cabbage could have been steamed it was very raw.
Main Course: Lamb culotte - again, my own portion was fine, with delicious tender meat in a nice presentation, but two of my guests received end slices of the culotte roast, which they found quite disappointing.
Dessert: Mille Feuille of puff pastry was unfortunately disappointing. The puff pastry layers were very hard and difficult to cut through with a regular dessert spoon. The taste was also disappointing, flat, and uninteresting.
The bottle of white wine and red wine we had with the meal was fine!
Last but not least, we wanted to pay with a Forbrugsforeningskort, but the waiter’s wireless payment terminal rejected my card, even though we tried with both chip, contactless, and magnetic stripe. My partner also had a Forbrugsforeningskort, and it was also rejected after we tried to pay in the same ways. I have contacted Forbrugsforeningen about this, and I hope we can jointly rectify this issue.
