Hi Matt

Hi Matt, Tullia Law did the exact same thing to me. I haven't had my 6,500 back since 2016. Her behaviour was dreadful (working for Bernard Bokobza, surgeon). I ended up being a lot more out of pocket because of her as myself and my partner took off 10 days at our own expense and had to stay 4 additional nights in another hotel. The operation never went ahead, the surgeon advised against it in the consultation meeting and said I would be given a refund of my money. I reported it to police in 2016. I will shortly contact the police again. This is nothing short of base-level white collar criminality!!

Tullia Law has taken £5500 from me…

Tullia Law has taken £5500 from me without been able to offer a gastric operation as my weight apparently is not enough, surly she would be aware before she takes the money & is now refusing to return the money.

i have had a stroke and my hospital…

i have had a stroke and my hospital says i cannot have bypass surgery i sent my documents wanting my 6.000pounds returned of
course all the lies in the world i want to talk to hospital . Miss Tulia
Law is to blame foe this a bunch of crooks.

STILL waiting for my refund

STILL waiting for my refund, have been waiting since July after numerous cancellations and numerous times of being told it will be ‘ next week or next month’ and now the director of the company has now stopped responding to me completely! I know that I am not the only person they have done this too, i wish I had never gone with this company it has been nothing but stressful, I would avoid at all costs!!
I have been sending texts and emails to this company asking for my refund, this company/person has completely stopped responding to me altogether!
This is not good business etiquette at all!
I hope these reviews help other people who are considering this company to decide not too as they will be throwing their money away!

Refund

I was due to have surgery at the beginning of March however after 3 cancellations I was offered my money back. I’ve been waiting for my refund since the end of June - still £4000 outstanding. The ‘senior co-ordinator/director’ has come up with every excuse possible not to pay me and at least 4 other customers. I made such a huge mistake in trusting this company.

Mystery of who the company is!!

Thia company takes your money and gives nothing back in return, FACT. Theft essentially and the Police will be notified and court action will be taken, out story is exactly as the others below, and as for “The Company” according to companies house and Duedil.com There is the one and only director and therefore they are solely responsible for the heartache and financial burden she has caused all these people, she should be ashamed of her behaviour and hang her head in shame. How someone with any morals can behave like this is bewildering. And Her marketing team are as much to blame still an hour ago advertising on Facebook on her behalf knowing full well she has been banished from the hospital as she owes them €100,000. Where’s the money going?

Laser clinic France
This company took £11’000 for surgery in March that didn’t take place. The surgery was cancelled twice due to a national strike and the surgeon not being available.
A full refund was offered in July. No refund has been forthcoming, just excuses and lies. Including the latest one, that her family have given her a cheque for her birthday Oct 22nd that still hasn’t cleared.
She continues to promote her company with a marketing individual taking money from unsuspecting clients, knowing that no surgeries are taking place. All reviews for surgery are for last year, none this year. The company coordinator who is actually the company director and not an employee persuades Trust Pilot to remove reviews that aren’t positive. This is a truthful and honest review.
We are still waiting for our refund and after 7 months it’s time to start legal proceedings.
Do not give this company any of your hard earned money.
Update: She has reported this review to Trust Pilot, yet again trying to have the review removed. Why not pay the £11k back, that would be better publicity. 🤔

I had a sleeve in February 2015

I had a sleeve in February 2015
It was a seamless process from start to finish
The service from all staff was excellent
I have recommended three other patients who have all experienced the same high standard of service
I have lost ten stone
I have never felt better
My only regret is not having the surgery years ago

Mini bypass

I had my surgery 4 years ago and am still over the moon with the results. Service was brilliant from start of enquiry to all follow up queries. I was so pleased I have since referred 8 people who also found the entire process seamless.

I would like to thank everyone at Laser Clinic France for all of their assistance following my gastric bypass surgery last year in France. I am losing weight now and starting to feel much better in my health and my confidence is building daily.
I wish I had done this earlier in my life.

Simply The Best!

Very friendly and capable staff. Comfortable and spotless throughout the complex. Everything was explained to me very clearly and there were no nasty surprises.
I had my op in November last year, and I can honestly say that within a few weeks I'd almost forgotten I'd even been to France and had surgery.
I've already lost over 3 stones, and am now able to move around so much more easily that I've even joined my local gym.
None of this would be possible without the skill and support from Laser Clinic (France) Ltd. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, you saved my life.

I wish I had done this years ago

I wish I had done this years ago. I have lost 56 lbs since having a gastric sleeve surgery and I feel great. I can now get clothes that look good and actually fit me without me looking like I am pregnant !! I would like to thank Dr.B and Tullia Law for arranging everything and making the process so easy. I am looking forward to my new lifestyle with a renewed optimism.

Any company with Tulia Law behind it, PLEASE AVOID...INCOMPETENT

Tullia Law is the person behind this company. She is a women in high 80s, who opperates via a postal address for a UK company, but its basically just a PO Box. She lives in Calais, France and just sells the services of reputable hospitals and surgeons. She takes her fee of €400+ on top of your actual hospital costs.
How do l know all this? I had the misfortune of dealing with her. I booked my holidays from work, booked my second lot of flights (see below) to arrive to find she had not passed on my previous medical information. I was in the hospital in my surgery gown, with all my bloods taken. When the surgeon read my notes, he said there was no way l could have the surgery. I had to get dressed go back to my hotel and wait for my return flight 3 days later. BUT THAT WAS JUST THE START.... She had not paid the hospital and l had to fight for 18 months to get my cash back. She is an old hand at this as she puts nothing in writing, only automated online forms. On investigating her l discovered she has had 5 bankrupt companies. Despite having a UK its just a post drop. Money goes to Belgium and she lives in Calais. So dragging her into court is impossible. Only threatening to expose her theft to other surgeons made her finally repay me over 4 months. That maybe why she is no longer dealing with Belgium hospital l attended. Due to her age and not having things in writting, it explains how we had confirmed a surgery a date, l booked my flight but she had forgotten to notify the hospital and that date was already gone. She had to refund my flight costs, l would have pulled out then but she had my €2000 deposit. She told me she has spoken to the surgeon as l wanted revision surgery. I completed several forms informing her and spoke on several occassions. At one point she even said to me, look who l am telling, you know more about the surgery than l do having had it. None of my info was sent to the hospital, so when they read my information the surgeon said we could have done a revision but with all your NHS paperwork and at a higher cost. The hospital and staff were lovely and l would recommend to anyone considering a band. When l left poor reviews, I was contacted by other clients she had done this to. Some as much as €8000. She has numerious company names and email addresses as she has to keep moving. Dont believe me, then see for yourself type in name Tullia Law in youtube. She always gets reviews from Geoff Lord, who gives 5* feedback. But he is her Marketing Manager. He tired to get my review removed from TRUSTPILOT, but l have sent them prove of all my claims in this review. She is merely marketing and has no links to reputable hospitals. Go direct and dont get ripped off.

Mrs O,Dwyer applied for information about gastric band surgery in Belgium in 2010 and in hindsight was a problem for our coordination’s team from day 1.

As per our companies normal procedures Mrs O'dwyer was asked a set of questions regarding her past health and medical/surgery history to enable us to see if she was likely to be suitable for a Gastric Band to be fitted. Mrs O'Dwyer subsequently answered the questions, but failed to disclose certain vital information, which, had the information been given initially, she would immediately have been advised that she would not be a suitable candidate, or eligable for Bariatric surgery of any kind, and the process would have ended at that point to avoid any wasted time for herself, our staff and with the surgeons and staff at the hospital in Belgium !

However, as Mrs O’Dwyer chose for some reason not to disclose this vital information at the initial consultation with Mrs Law, who was the initial contact and coordinator for Mrs O’dwyer, appointments were duly made with the surgeons in Belgium, and she subsequently attended a consultation at a clinic in Belgium with a surgeon.

At this consultation with the surgeon it was discovered that she had previously had some Bariatric surgery which made it absolutely impossible on medical grounds for a gastric band to be fitted. The Surgeon advised her of this and could not understand why she had not disclosed this vital information previously at any stage, to either the coordinators, or the nurses, as common sense should have told Mrs O’dwyer herself that further treatment of this kind was not possible!!

As with any surgery it is the surgeon’s final decision as to whether ANY surgery is performed on ethical or medical grounds. As Mrs O’dwyer was clearly not suitable on both counts, he quite rightly informed Mrs O’dwyer of this, and explained to her the reasons fully. Had she disclosed the vital piece of information from the outset none of this would ever have happened.

The Surgeons cannot understand why Mrs O’dwyer even thought she would be able to have further bariatric surgery after already having had more dramatic bariatric surgery previously, anyone with a modicum of common sense would have disclosed this vital information right from the start !!

There were also several other incidents going on prior to attending the appointment with the surgeon with cancelled appointments by Mrs O'dwyer due to travel and work commitments she had, and other minor incidents with the coordinators of arranging alternative dates etc..

In the terms and conditions of the company, it clearly states that "Full Disclosure" of previous medical history MUST be given prior to any appointments being made on their behalf with surgeons, or hospitals, and that the surgeons have the final say in deciding if a person is suitable for surgery or not.
As Mrs O'dwyer had clearly "purposely" failed to give "Full" history at the initial screening with the coordinator, the Company administrators initially declined to sanction a "Full Refund" and retained the standard cancellation fees and costs incurred as per the terms and conditions.

However, after many discussions and communications, payments of refunds were eventually agreed between the Administrators and Mrs O'Dwyer, and agreed staged payments were made to clear the account to everyone’s satisfaction, and as far as the Company was concerned the matter was closed as it had met its obligations to Mrs O'Dwyer fully.

It would subsequently appear however that Mrs O'Dwyer continued to be aggrieved, even though it was her fault for not making full disclosure, and despite having agreed to everything to settle the matter, she subsequently posted the offending review above, which the Company feel is entirely unfair of Mrs O'dwyer as it had done nothing wrong, and had made every effort to resolve the matter amicably even though the fault being entirely of Mrs O'dwers own making.

Furthermore, the personal accusations and remarks made by Mrs O'Dwyer about Mrs Law are entirely uncalled for and totally incorrect.

I would also like to make the point that at the time (2010) Mrs.Law was representing a Hospital & Surgeon in Belgium, who neither Mrs. Law or the company no longer work with, and Mrs.Law now works exclusively on behalf of Hospitals & Surgeons in France, where she now lives.

I would like to assure everyone reading this review that Mrs Law, and the Company, Laser Clinic (France) Ltd, are an ethical company with a long standing and excellent reputation.

The Company have also been fully vetted and approved by the UK FCA (The Financial Conduct Authority).

The company also provide each prospect with a list of over 200 past clients, with phone numbers and email details, which prospects are encouraged to contact before making a decision to come to us for surgery, so that they can speak to them personally to get an un-biased and personal account of their experience with our company.
