Absolutely awful company, truly disgusting service,will never use again! Total scam artists, charged extra for a special meal they never bothered to order, told me it was my responsibility to order directly from the airline, no acknowledgement or even an apology for a 31h journey with no food! Said I should ask the airline for compensation.
Inhuman way to treat another person, I hope they understand karma.

Scam artists! Worst travel agency I have ever dealt with.
My wife's mother tragically passed on 4 days before our departure and 11 days before our wedding in Bolivia. As they were unable and unwilling to help us get there for her funeral, we had to buy new tickets. We notified gate1 before we left Ireland of the situation, and they refused to help. They then blocked our return tickets even though we were in discussion with them about the situation and the airlines were willing to fly us home. 55 emails later, and they just blatantly refused even to reply.
The airlines were willing to fly us home on our original tickets but gate1 blocked this and refused to help. They eventually stopped replying to emails and forced us to spend an additional 4.5 thousand euros on short-term flights home. Basically holding us at ransom in the situation and showing no human consideration to the extenuating circumstances of my wife's mother's passing.
No phone numbers are advertised online or in any of their emails. The incompetence of most of their representatives is blatant. Each email contradicts the previous.
Avoid these con artists at all costs!

This has been the worst travel agency I have ever dealt with. First of all, this company is already breaking consumer law by having an Irish domain (.ie) and not advertising a telephone number that the customer can ring to make changes/cancellations to their bookings; in fact, their only communication channel is by e-mail, which is also outsourced to another country.
Me and my husband had to travel before our departing date due to my mother's sudden death, and we informed Gate1.ie immediately as we needed to move our flights. Gate1 didn't have availability for the next day's flights and suggested that we purchase new tickets due to the urgency of arriving at my mother's funeral. We followed their advice and purchased new one-way tickets to my country. We then emailed them back enquiring about our return tickets, and they claimed that we could not use our return tickets! We went to the airline offices, and they advised that they could see our tickets, but unfortunately, the agency had custody of our tickets, and there was nothing they could do; this was Gate1's responsibility.
We exchanged 55 emails with Gate1, almost begging them to honour our return flights. Given the circumstances, stress, and grief that we were going through at that moment, it was unbelievable to see no empathy or solutions from Gate1.
Therefore, I would not recommend that anyone purchase tickets from this agency.

Still waiting for my refund from Dec…
Still waiting for my refund from Dec 2021 for a flight to the US that was cancelled without notice. I'm out of pocket by 965 euros which this company has held since May 2021. No answers to emails or other correspondence other than a customary response blaming the delay on the airline. The date in question was 26/12/2021 however I have to date my review incorrectly as it cannot be published unless its within 12 months of having the experience.

It is a trused site, financially. They have one problem, they do not issue the ticket immediately after booking unless your flight is in the next 24 hours. My ticket was sent to me 10 hours after (which is fine). The problem is that they say this process may take up to 22 days !! so keep this in mind !
