I recently got home late from a trip to find I had no hot water in my flat and the heating was really weak. Luke warm radiators which I have never experienced before. Super weird. I was really upset. I called several plumbers, got quotes, then I came across GBSE. I told them the quotes, explained my problem and financial situation and asked if they can help. I sound calm now, but I was crying. They were lovely. Like genuinely nice people. One guy and sorted both issues as there were 2. It was 3 a.m. and I was relieved. I talked through my price limit in advance, so the engineer and staff were aware. They were true to their word. 5 stars 🌟

One of my radiators was not working properly, very loud "bang" noises were coming from the wall behind, and this caused my boiler to stop. I had this company number saved as I used them once in the past and the outcome was very good.
This time Janna (the customer service operator) sent over 2 plumbers. The senior plumber and his apprentice arrived within time slot provided over the phone. They were both very polite, gave me a price before commencing and did not charge additional or hidden charges.
Did the job efficiently clean workmanship very happy, would definitely recommend!

They provided a call out charge of £69.00 over the phone and stated that the plumber will provide extra details of cost once the issue had been assessed. The plumber arrived outside of the expected time window and stated that the charge would be £100.00 an hour plus the cost for new parts. We Refused the offer and stated that we will pay the call out charge. The plumber stated there was no need then left without taking our money. We then received a call stating that we needed to pay £69.00 for the call out charge, to which we agreed. We then received an invoice by Email for £91.08, which included an admin fee. It also turned out that the £69.00 did not include VAT but this was not mentioned during any call. We are currently disputing this invoice based on what was agreed over the phone. This all happended today so is not yet resolved

Called yesterday, explained what needed to be done. (Jet from pipe at the back of the house) 1st plumber called unable to come, second plumber called the next day but doesn’t have a jet hose. Third chap shows up after dark but unable to do anything because.. it’s dark. Stood there making me do the bank transfer for the pointless call out charge. Apparently someone will come tomorrow to actually do the work. But seeing the hourly rip off, I shall not be using them.

The company is really bad communication, on the Sunday have called them out 69+vat , it was fine. With out telling me the labour hour rate charge 295+vat only 10mins works , the work was not finished , coming back again ask labour 220+vat . I know Sunday is high rate but this is not right for the work and the parts involved. Preying on people in crisis. No explanation of the job, no details the part needed in terms of cost. I’d like a reply or some similar reviews.
