Poor Customer Security Policy

I have been a member of Gemini for many years and the company operates like a fly by night organization. I have been receiving robocols from their customer support number. I emailed Gemini to inform them if these call were legitimate they locked ME out of my account and asked me to re: KYC with them. This has happened 3x. I work with Kraken and other companies and they don't punish the account holder. They will send a secure verification pin to the phone associated with the account to insure you are the account holder and then have you create a new PW.

We disputed a credit card charge and…

We disputed a credit card charge and they refunded our money. On the next statement, they put the charges back because they needed to "recoup" the money they had lost from us disputing the transaction. This should be illegal! It was the third time it had happened with this company. They are theives.

Gemini customer service is absolutely…

Gemini customer service is absolutely terrible beyond words. You cannot get ahold of a person at all, and sometimes you need answers quickly. So you email them and it takes 4-5 days to get an answer. And this wasn't just 1 or the first experience, it has happened a few times. I'm over it and I plan on leaving Gemini and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone... ever!

Pathetic Customer Service

Gemini is the most horrible in terms of customer service. You can't get a person on the phone and the support email route takes forever to get a response if you get one at all. There is no interest in resolving issues and concerns are just not treated with urgency.

Not a single response from a human in over a week

I set up an account with Gemi quite a while ago due to them being an option to collect Brave Token earnings. More recently, I made the mistake of sending about $6,000 in Tether into my account. The account was instantly locked, preventing me from withdrawing the funds I needed for a purchase I planned to make in the next day or two.

I've sent many emails trying to resolve this, but all I've received is one automated response asking for a photo of me with my ID and the date written on it. Well, I did that multiple times and sent it multiple times. It's been over a week, and not a single response from a real person yet.

I don't know how it's even legal for a company to operate like this. Why are you locking people's funds if you don't even have people around to respond to emails? This has cost me a significant amount of money and has been a nightmare of an experience.

It's crazy how companies can be so criminal without any consequences. This is a criminal organization. And the people behind it need to be in jail.

Outrageous

Outrageous. They let me deposit GBP, and change the money to bitcoin.
Then they refuse to let me transfer the BTC out, and when I complain, they close my account and force me to change the BTC back to GBP and transfer them out.
Lost 2 x their very high trading fees.

I have been trying to get my earnings…

I have been trying to get my earnings deposited into my bank for a year now. They send complicated instructions to verify bank and are slow to reply to questions or information. My bank is reluctant to give them information so I was told to send a bank statement. I did so with my account and routing number clearly listed and they still have not sent funds.

Terrible experience. Super disappointing.

Wow, how could my research have been so off! Gemini has a great offer in text, but in practice, user experience is terrible. Got my account and used the card once, and the app started failing to login. Painful experience to get it to work again with really long support waits, almost two weeks after it got fixed. Used the card once, now the account is frozen for no good reason, an obscure lie. I really thank them though, for showing their true colors before I funded the account to start using the trading platform. It will be super hard for me to trust them again.

Extremely Disappointed with Gemini’s Verification Practices and Customer

I’ve been with Gemini for some time, but my recent experience has been deeply disappointing and concerning. Despite already providing full verification — including my driver’s license, selfie, and personal identification — Gemini suddenly demanded that I share my external wallet address and screenshots showing ownership just to withdraw my own funds.

As an Accredited Investor with a net worth exceeding one million dollars, I trade across multiple major financial platforms such as Charles Schwab (formerly Ameritrade), Morgan Stanley (formerly E*TRADE), Fidelity, Robinhood, Webull, and Coinbase (since 2018). None of these platforms have ever required me to share personal wallet information or screenshots as part of account verification.

This request felt invasive and unnecessary, and when I raised concerns, Gemini’s responses were slow and automated — offering no clear explanation. After researching further, I discovered many similar complaints from other users, including reports of frozen funds, poor customer service, and security holds that prevent withdrawals for weeks or even months.

I’m disappointed that a company positioning itself as a “regulated and secure” exchange treats verified customers this way. If this issue isn’t resolved soon, I will be closing my account and moving my funds to a more transparent and customer-focused platform.

Gemini needs to do better.

If I could give a zero

If I could give a zero, I would. The following is what happened: 1) I followed the ipo process before the day with high expectation and hope; 2) bought many shares of GEMI the first day of trading; 3) TRIED to open an account, but failed during verification process (never received verification emails); 4) used a different email to open an account and failed similarly (now I have two pending accounts but no access); 5) contacted GEMI but no responses; 6) sold all GEMI shares; 7) I don't know what to do ...

To the company: I really want to have an account and get your credit card! Please, please do something, before new investors lose their confidence!!!

UNLESS YOU'RE JUST WANTING TO GIVE YOUR MONEY AWAY TO SOMEBODY TO HOLD FOR 2 DAYS AT MINIMUM DO NOT EVER USE THIS PLATFORM THEY HOLD YOUR MONEY HOSTAGE YOUR OWN MONEY

If I could give zero stars I would I've never in my life heard of anyone just wanting to give somebody their money for 48 hours so I add money to my account thinking oh I can send it no so I try to get it off no I can't withdraw it either what's the point nobody gives you their money just for you to hold for 2 days and I'm being told that it's 48 hours before I can get my own money back I would have never added it had I known that they were just going to hold it for 2 days That's ridiculous no other crypto app does that. At all I don't see them being in business very long it's one of the worst ones I've ever heard of and if I don't get my money back like really soon I can't wait two days on my own money that's stupid if I don't get back now I guess I'm going to file a complaint with the BBB

Ripping off the disabled?WTF

Wanna start by saying I'm disabled but I'm newly disabled and in the middle of determination. That means I don't get any money so when companies have promotions like Gemini has been promoting sign up trade $100 and will give you $75 promotions like that can be a blessing. Gemini of course has turned it into a nightmare. Not only are they not paying they keep sending me emails telling me they're going to pay in 3 to 5 days or the requesting payment now and of course payment never comes. Companies should definitely keep their word but if you're not going to you don't have to drag a disabled person for 2 weeks tell him that their money is fixing to be there that's pretty messed up. If I had other ways to make money besides promotions like this and earn a regular income I wouldn't even bother. The fact that they know I'm disabled and I've told them what money like that can mean to someone like me makes it even worse. It's a real slap in the face and it makes me fearful of what I may actually be in store for if companies like this are allowed to operate openly bait and switch customers and lie to them on a daily basis with which seems to be no repercussion you guys should be ashamed of yourself you pick it on disabled people like that it's pretty gross. I would appreciate it if you make what's wrong right

If I could give zero stars I would

If I could give zero stars I would. Company has lied about their referral incentives, tried to claim I didn’t apply the referral code (I did) and avoided answering my inquiries just long enough that they wouldn’t have to pay out! SCAM!

I can provide screenshots of everything if the company wishes to dispute, including my transactions, the email confirming my referral status and the support ticket with dates showing the negligence in response.

I would give it zero stars if I could.

I would give it zero stars if I could.

I own Mid-Atlantic Gutters and Roofing in Maryland. Whenever customers ask Gemini for my phone number, it always gives the wrong number. Sometimes it gives out my competitors’ numbers, and other times it gives out the Better Business Bureau’s number instead of my own. Gemini never pulls the correct information from Google Maps, Angi’s, or any verified source. This has caused confusion for my customers and cost my business potential leads. I'm totally convinced that gemini is not capable of learning

ABSOLUTELY SCUM

Do not invest anything into this scumbag of a company, they will steal your money/crypto then lock your account and every once in a while they will send you an email saying for you to hold up 3 items with a view of your full face in a single photo all well knowing that doing so in 99% impossible then they will completely ignore you till you bombard them with emails to get a nauseating reply asking you to send another photo of your face while holding 3 items

THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY SCAMMING THIEVING SCUMBAGS
