Don't ever buy from Gerard Darel online store. They are completely unprofessional!
I bought 2 coats and I need the return document as they didn't even activate my shopping account. Nobody answers, they even lied that they sent me the documents after they send me to Global e, their partner for transport.
i have never seen something like this before.
I wasted hundreds of hours with calling and writing them with no feed back. It is like a dark circle.
NEVER buy from them again!!!!

Received my order today but trousers do not fit. No customer service. Automated email giving phone number which does not work. No return slip in parcel. I have always loved this brand but can not believe there seems no way to return parcel. So disappointing. Please help order GDUE327062 as would like to return and get refund!

Fast delivery on a blazer I ordered. Sadly it didn't fit and I had to return it. Having read all the terrible reviews, and not being able to contact customer services via phone (it does just go to voicemail) I was prepared for a painful returns process and did not expect a response to my email. However, very pleased to have received a response within a couple of hours, advising the delivery note can be used instead of printing out the non-existent returns form (as others have noted). I returned the blazer, and received an acknowledgment email on the same day. Later that day I received another email advising my refund had been processed. The money hasn't been credited yet, but I know this typically takes a few days. Delivery, communication and refund process have all been flawless. Thank you!

Cannot access the apparently essential return form that must accompany the returned item. No response to multiple e-mails.

It was stated that my order would be delivered within 2-5 working days. As soon as I confirmed and paid for my order, I received an email from Gerald Darel saying that there were delays to shipping. Notwithstanding this, it stated that I could not change my order. So now I am received what was supposed to be a Christmas present after Christmas (27/12) which is no good to me. I will also have to pay for return postage. The customer service phone number provided is reported as ‘incorrect’. GD, I hope that you will respond to my email today as a matter of urgency- order no gdue 321162. Overall, just terrible customer service.

There is no way to return an item bought online. No return label, no customer service. The store in UK does not take back the item. I am stuck with a coat that doesn't fit me. Absolutely appalling.

First there is no return label in the package. Sent back the fress on the same week arrived now is more than 1 month I still not received the refund. Sent 3 emails to the customer service only have a replied this has been updated, but no more news n no refund. Their items are beautiful I brought clothes belt shoes always from their retails in Luxembourg. The governance in refund is horrible - will share these experiences with friends and work colleagues very disappointed with the brand.

I bought a coat from this company and wasn't happy with the quality considering it's worth almost £300. It felt more like a coatigan. I wanted to return it but they made it impossible. Firstly I tried to key my details on their return page but it wasn't accepting my order code so they sent me the address to return it to. Then when I had to fill out the form for the parcel company I needed information but I couldn't get through to them (GD) via phone or email to retain this info. They answered in the beginning but then stopped answering altogether at one point. They don't allow you to return products to their UK boutiques. I opened a dispute against them with PayPal but they insist I must send back the parcel to get my money back even though I explained if information I need is missing from the form it may be rejected at customs. I called up their UK store for help and the lovely lady tried to help but then the manager of that store said they're not allowed to give out GD's phone number. I just think all this is quite dodgy and I'm surprised they're still running a business. I also saw in reviews when customers send their parcel back it's the wrong address and PayPal gave me a different address to send it back to them also. In the end I messaged them on social media they still couldn't help me. I contacted another of their London stores and finally the Lady said I can bring it there for her to refund giving excuses they've been having problems (yeah right) it's not a coincidence you're receiving so many bad reviews GD you're crooks!

Gerard Darel shop in Chavannes de Bogis, Switzerland: Return and refund policy is unacceptable and completely not in line with the online shop and other stores. Only exchanges or voucher within 7 days from the purchase is possible. Additionally, no one informed me about the policy at the moment of the purchase. This is ridiculous. No point to go in the shop to buy when the return and refund conditions are more customer friendly online. I am also very disappointed how little cooperative the people in this shop are.

Ordered online. It took over one week for the delivery to arrive. Requested refund. No one responding. Called the customer service for advice. No one picking up the line. Emailed. No one responding. Non existing customer service. Spent GBP350 on blazer. Would not recommend online order.

Until about 3 years ago they had very nice long wrap dresses that fitted very well. I don't know what happened but the new collections are really ugly, and the sizes no longer fit accordingly For example a dress size 42 today, doesn't match the same 42 size from 2 years ago. I am very disappointed with Gerard Darel new collections, they look cheap.

Please believe the bad reviews the good ones were people who didn't have to deal with returning their purchase or are paid. Gerard darel do indeed make it virtually impossible to return orders so the customer just keeps it in the end. Thankfully I've not sent mine back yet as I was supposed to as I'm seeing reviews that say their parcel never reached GD on return (it probably did) so they can't get a refund. This is a fraudulent company I'm baffled they still operate likely because they've gotten away with it for so long. They won't answer calls or emails, when I called the UK based shop the lady was lovely and when she told me she'll find another number to call them on since the one I was using no one picks up, her manager told her they're not allowed to give it out that I should get it from their website, if that doesn't sound dodgy I don't know what does. The fact they don't allow you to return their products to the UK branches shows they're all about the money and not customers, they don't care about you. I only got a response from email and call a couple of times in the beginning but after that they stop answering all together. I'm still awaiting an outcome from PayPal because it's simply impossible to get any answers to my questions. Update: because there was information I needed to obtain from the company to fill out a form for the delivery, I in the end called another branch of the UK store and the woman actually agreed to accept a return on the coat though France would still refund me not her. I got my money back but it felt like going through fire. Again do not buy from these people return cost alone is at least £20 plus pounds, the most I've seen was DHL at £40. It's just not worth it!
I bought three items as potential Christmas gifts for my sister. One item worked. I tried to return the other two, within two weeks of purchase, unworn with the tags still on. Apparently the items were on sale, so no returns were accepted. I would not purchase clothing online without the reasonable expectation of being able to return/exchange items that don't work. I would not recommend taking the risk of shopping with this company.

Order placed with Gerard Darel via UK website. Paid additional £20 for express delivery and have as yet to receive either confirmation of order or promised delivery tracking code. Customer Service Team in France (there is no UK Cusotmer Service team) do not pick up the phone and do not reply to email. I will seek a refund through my bank and report this company for fraudulent practices.
If I could give 0 stars I would. I ordered a trench coat that was described as caramel, which the images also showed was a dark dark brown colour. When the coat arrived it was a really light beige, close to cream colour so I knew I was going to return it right away. Then started the issues, I live in the UK and the brand made it really hard to even start the return process. Once I sorted that out and paid £14 to return the order because of how unnecessarily big the box was. (At lease 6x the size of the coat) I contacted to know if I would be reimbursed. As the coat was not at all like it was described, so I felt it was an appropriate grounds to ask for reimbursement at it was not what was being sold. When I emailed, the person responded to 2 emails, didn't answer my question then ignored my last email. A week lated I contacted again via email. The lady was very rude and kept going back and forth with me, she then sent me a screenshot of a washed out image of the coat and said it was a "cream caramel" colour. Which proved my point exactly that it was not as described, and that what she said contradicted what the item listing described and showed. I was never rude, just gave factual information about the inaccuracies and she proceeded to send an abrupt rude email, stating they would not reimburse me, she gave no explanation and ignored all of factual info I gave because she knew I was right. She also then ignored my following email all together and that's where it's been left. Being treated and ignored like that was frustrating and infuriating, it took me half the day to calm down because I couldn't believe how rude she was and that the email was ignored when she was caught out. So I decided not to pursue it because I feel I will be ignored again and it wasn't worth how upset it made me trying to resolve the issue. I just hope this stops someone else having the same experience.
Returns on own costs to France and they never refunded, I had to contact Paypal to refund. Worst customer service ever, will never never never buy anything online again
Having read the reviews, I was hesitant to order the coat I wanted. But after some consideration I took the risk. The package arrived within the timeframe (max 5 business days), even a day earlier than was estimated in the tracking info. I love the coat, it is soft, comfortable and really my size (I often have no choice but to order online because they generally don’t put the smallest sizes in physical stores).
