Received my items very fast. I would highly recommend Gerrards auction rooms
Love this place, its always warm and inviting, always a pleasure experience, had a lovely cup of tea and cake in the cafe, service was very good and nice and clean. I'd Recommend.
Gerrards are a family orientated professional and friendly auction company. They keep you fully informed of proceedings before and after the auction . Included in the amenities is the cafeteria service.
Great Service- Gerrards helped me when my sister had to go into a care home. We had to sell my sister's belongings and Simon and Elizabeth were very helpful and professional. Thank you!! Would recommend.
I brought a ring in an auction online from
Gerrards Auction Rooms. Description said Ruby
and Natural white zircon ring. When I
received the ring found out by an expert it
was not ruby. I sent the ring back to the
auctioneer and told them it was not ruby,
which was accepted by the auctioneers and so
demand for a refund under the sale of goods
act and trade description act, the item must
match the accurate description satisfy the
quality and be fit for purpose. Auctioneers
being a registered auctioneer surely must not
mislead and deceive the public by describing
the item wrongly. The item in auctioneers
description has falsely been described. Ring
was never returned back nor refunded.

Excellent first class packaging and service. My items arrived within 3 working days of end of sale. Top notch!!
Fair valuations and very helpful service to a “newby”
I have been dealing with Gerrards now for over 10 years and they are a great family firm to deal with and I have got to know them very well.
I buy through them where I have got some brilliant bargains through searching their site on a regular basis.I sell through them and if I pitch a sensible and attractive price I have achieved some brilliant results.
At one stage when I was running a scheme at my church to collect donations of antiques and collectables we made over £3000 for our boiler fund which was helped considerably by them reducing their commission to help the cause. They are also very understanding on the rare occasions when there is a problem with the item bought or sold which is an essential attribute of any auction house.
Great service goods received well packaged and very quickly,
BEWARE DO NOT USE GERRARDS
I purchased a necklace, for a 21st birthday present, through saleroom, the estimate was £40-£50, and I won the lot for £65. After paying through bank transfer i was promised it would get to me by the following Monday. However it did not arrive Tuesday or Wednesday. After ringing again which was my third phone call - I was told they weren't really sure where it was. They thought it might have been taken back by the owner. I rang again and they said that the owner had definitely taken it away because it didn't make what the owner wanted- even though they'd had my money for a week. I did explain that I had paid above the highest estimate - no explanation given. I asked for the owner or manager to ring me - which did not happen. In the end I had to ring three more times to get a refund. I have used many auction houses through saleroom and have had no problems before. It 's a shame that one bad apple spoils the cart.
I bought something in an auction on-line three weeks ago, and paid almost £30 for postage. This was a present for someone, so I rang them the next day and gave them an address to which to send it. Two and a half weeks later it still had not arrived, so I rang again and said for them please to send it to my address as I would be seeing this person soon anyway.
They were very polite and said that the address I had given them was wrong (even if this were true there was no reason for them not to ring me immediately) and that they would send the item straightaway to my address. Three days later, it still hasn't arrived. I have tried to ring them but there is no answer. Furthermore, the item still doesn't appear on the auction web site as sold to me, I sent them almost £100 on 30 May.
Jury's still out, bid on and won a set of golf clubs approx 3 weeks ago, packaging and delivery paid for but still not received golf clubs yet emails and phone calls returned!
As an update, I would like to say that the follow up correspondence from Gerrards has been outstanding. Several of their senior staff/management have contacted me to apologize, hence I have given their follow up service 4 stars. Many thanks. And also to add that the item arrived safely.
Very quick to send the invoice which I paid immediately, then the problems started. Decided to use their in-house packing & delivery service as I thought it would be quicker than my usual choice of Pack&Send. Initially they said it would be delivered by Royal Mail, which is convenient as I can pick-up from my local post office, but when I paid the invoice they changed delivery to a courier service. Had to keep chasing for delivery details, and twice they cut me off by phone, so had to revert to e-mail. Have now been waiting nearly 2 weeks and still do not know when it will turn up!
I participated in an online auction from Italy: everything was perfect, including the shipment of 4 paintings with super packaging at a reasonable cost. Recommended. Fast, precise, professional.

Great customer service and reasonable commission prices, no car parking space though.
