We were a new company in Jan 2023. I had a 750-credit card and this company reached out to me and said I could get a line of credit and a fuel card credit line. I said OK. They never got me anything. After 90 days, they said they could not do anything. By then, I had a fuel account credit line of $10,000 with two companies. Recently, about 100 days ago, I had a private lending company that was going to lend me money for 2 trucks. They pulled the UCC which I had not idea what this was. They said they would lend money with this on my credit and told me it was Fleetsmart who I had no idea who they were. I searched back thru emails and found out who they were. I called them and they offered me one of two ways out: 1. Factor with them. I do not need factoring. 2. Pay them $500 and wait 45 days to get this removed. THIS IS A SCAM AND BLACK MAIL. I have never done business with these scam artists and do not owe them a dime, much less having to pay my way out. I am submitting paperwork to our State Attorney General and Consumer Affairs as this has cost me this loan and a burden that I do not deserve. They have emailed me several times refusing to let me out without paying. STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS, M&P Mobile Homes in SC
As you can see by their response, they are a SCAM and take companies Hostage. Their service sucks and they want me to pay to get out of this UCC that I never agreed to. They have nothing in writing from me. They just did it so they could collect money that I don't owe. Sounds like it is Attorney General and Consumer Affairs time. I think in SC we can file a law suit against them and make sure the internet knows what a scam they are and how they are not willing to do something simple, REMOVE THIS UCC TODAY, NOT 45 DAYS AND CHARGE ME AS THIS IS A FORM OF BLACKMAIL.

Fleetsmarts is not a scam. We are a legitimate credit and factoring provider that helps carriers nationwide with credit lines, fuel discounts at all major truck stops, insurance down-payment financing, equipment financing and some of the lowest factoring rates in the market when bundled with fuel.

A UCC-1 filing is a standard security interest document used throughout the industry. It protects the lender or factor but does not stop you from working with other factoring companies. Unfortunately, some competitors misrepresent this to persuade carriers to remove our filing so they can lock them into their own programs.

We value the opportunity to work with you and want to make this as straightforward as possible.

Option 1: Pay a one-time $500 processing fee. After we receive payment, we will issue a Letter of Release and terminate the UCC filing within 45 days.

Option 2: We will waive the $500 fee if you decide to use our services for 60 days with genuine intent. If, after this period, you still wish to discontinue, we will issue the Letter of Release at no additional cost.

We invite you, and anyone reading this, to experience our services directly. We are confident that our transparent approach, competitive rates and superior fuel card will prove the value of an honest partnership.

I’m being extorted out of money because…

I’m being extorted out of money because they are claiming verbal agreements that don't exist. I spoke with a lady named Ann b and a few other people as well. They put a UCC on my company that only been open for 2 weeks literally. I NEVER AGREEED TO ANYTHING BUT A FUEL CARD THAT I NEVER RECEIVED. Not once did I use there services and I don’t know about any other states but in SC a verbal agreement do not matter without any kind of proof. Then not only that I asked for a LOR they emailed it I filled it out. And still they are telling me I have to pay $500 and wait 45 days to be released. I beg the differ. I will fight this.

All the 5 star reviews are fake. Hundreds of people have been complaining about this company scamming them with the fuel card and ucc filling fee. Some people never heard of them and yet they have ucc against them.

Ok this is weird

Ok this is weird. They put a ucc on my company and I never talked to them. When I called some chic name shenee said that I was interested in their fuel card a few years ago. I see other people have the same experience and it’s definitely not legal. They will charge $500 to cancel that ucc and will take about 4 months based on what the other people have experienced. Anyone with the same experience should do a complaint with the attorney general and police report.

Fleetsmarts filed a UCC against my…

Fleetsmarts filed a UCC against my company without funding me or providing any services. I never used their fuel card or any credit line. I only responded to a phone call and agreed to hear more details. After that they filed a lien and now are trying to charge me thousands of dollars just to release it.

There was no clear agreement signed and no money ever exchanged. They are demanding a release fee and said it would take up to forty five days even after paying. This has completely blocked me from working with any other factoring company and is affecting my business and income.

Everything about this feels like a trap. Their contract says no exclusivity unless financing is used, and I used nothing. I believe they are using predatory tactics to lock down carriers through hidden liens and vague terms. If you get a call from them do not agree to anything and avoid doing business with this company.

I have made every attempt to resolve this professionally. I have called. I have emailed. I have sent messages. I have received no response. Your company filed a lien without my full understanding or consent. I never received any funds. I never used your services. I was pressured over the phone while I was driving and only said okay, not yes, and was then sent documents afterward. I was told I could cancel anytime as long as I did not use the fuel card, which I never did.

If the release is not provided today, I will be filing a small claim in court tomorrow. Your lien is blocking me from operating my business and your refusal to respond or cooperate is unacceptable.
