Assistant Experience
I've adored my assistant since the day I hired him. He is wonderful, intelligent, respectful, always on time and ahead of deadlines, pays close attention to detail, and just overall amazing! I refuse to abandon him. I just wish he could get more clients to show off his skills! He is deserving of so many opportunities.

Terrible service - look elsewhere
Initially I was impressed by the company president Barbara and she described her service. The woman she hired was fresh out of high school and was not aware of some of the nuances of being a Virtual assistant.
Without ever having performed barely 3 to 4 hours of service, I was sent another invoice which I did not pay. No one would respond any of my messages so I stopped using the service.
So unfortunately things didn’t work out and when I asked for a partial refund, no one ever responded to me, which surprised me after the sweet talk that Barbara initially gave.
After reading many other reviews it turns out that I wish I would’ve done my research. Because magic virtual does not deliver on what they promise.
Stay clear of them and you can hire your own virtual assistant without them.
Update:
Someone from their company got back to me saying that they were going to refund my money. That was a week ago with no action saying “they were waiting for a response from the credit card company". All they have to do is honor the refund. Is that simple

I’ve have a horrific experience with this organization. I contracted a “professional” that misrepresented themselves on their resume and wasted my time and billed me for work that they did not complete.
Then when it was escalated to my rep her only solution was getting me a new contractor. I go through the interview process with 3 candidates none of which were great and then when I ask to speak with more she takes 2 weeks to respond to inform me that I can’t because are in the middle of a process. I ask why and receive no response. I then ask to speak with a new business development rep and she ignores me. I fill out a form to be routed to a new professional he sets up a call with me and cancels, informing me that he’ll let my original business development rep know that I need attention. Then when I express my frustration he loops in another rep to express that “an emergency has come up for him I’ll let you last rep know to reach out”
What kind of scam is this?

Fast turnaround time, consistent improvements
Magic was able to provide my company quality assistants for everything from Google ads to accounting. This did not happen overnight as they initially were hit or miss. Fortunately, they listened to my feedback and got me better assistants.
Lastly, I l really like how they anticipate my needs by proactively following me up or giving the information I need.

They're great if you can be flexible, detailed, and patient
I am a project manager for a small business. We needed a Social Media Marketing expert/content writer and we're on an extremely tight budget. I reached out to Magic, and while yes I would agree with others that the onboarding phone calls are annoying, they DID find me an excellent assistant.
Before hiring any assistants, you get to interview them with the coordinator on the call. I highly recommend asking them all of your questions and not to hold back if there are must have items. I also wrote up a job description, list of tasks, must have requirements and like to have. They ask during the initial call, but I'm able to get what I asked for if I put it in writing and email it to them after the call.
When I interviewed my assistant, he asked great questions and provided excellent work after being hired. Now, for me, I was extremely flexible on my end as well, I had no mandatory hours except to get accomplished x number of posts per week. He had me review his work and was open to feedback. I also checked in with him weekly to see if there was anything he needed on my end, any questions or challenges.

Quality + responsiveness
I've enjoyed working with a variety of people from Magic over the last 9 months, the vetting of assistants and customer support has improved as well.
BEWARE - they ghost and stop responding
More of the same of all of the other bad reviews.
I'm now wondering if the good reviews were planted by Magic employees to try to avoid having their rating be a flat 1 star.
Started with an assistant 2 weeks ago. She is AMAZING. I feel like I lucked out with the match - but the company the 2nd week in said that my payment couldn't be processed. The card I had on file I know works, but I added a different card just to be sure. Got the same email said the payment couldn't be processed.
I tried to reach out to them several times with no response.
Then I got a message from my VA saying she had been taking off of my assignment - and on my dashboard she had also been removed.
The company hasn't gotten back to either of us on why this happened. I really like the assistant, but I don't want to be associated with a company that goes MIA two weeks into working with them.
If you sign up, BEWARE! And just be ready that two weeks in, they'll disappear. Get the contact info of your assistant if you like working with them and maybe you can retain their services outside of this ghost company.

Nonexistent customer service, don't waste your time
Wish I had read the other reviews here before wasting my time reaching out to these folks.
I've sent the same inquiry via chat, email & more and yet to receive a reply from the customer service team after multiple business days. Meanwhile they keep spamming with emails to schedule a call with them.
Nobody wants to schedule an onboarding call just to use a VA service — that totally defeats the purpose of hiring VAs (to save time). Don't waste your time on this company, which clearly operates as some sort of "fly-by-night" business.

Crickets.
Downloaded app. Did all the start up process. Sent tasks needed. Then no response for a week. The format is a chat. No response for a week. No phone number to call. I sent an email to support. No email a week later. Months ago, I went another route with same company, requested and Booked a meeting with a virtual assistant coordinator via the website. She canceled the meeting last minute.
