Very fast refund

I wanted a pannier for my Giant ebike. Their website said: "These electric bike specific pannier racks are the ideal luggage solution for any Giant E-bike."

So I bought one. But it turned out the web page was misleading as the panniers did not fit my Giant Entour E+.

However, when I raised the issue, their staff were friendly, understanding and helpful. I returned the panniers to the shop where the click and collect had been, and the refund followed soon after.

So, very good customer service, even if the web site needs updating.

Giant is a great bike shop on Hills Road

I’ve been to this shop numerous times over the past couple of years either to buy accessories for my bike or have it checked- the team are absolutely amazing, always efficient, fast and really fun to interact with. Great local bike shop on Hills Road.

Sadly haven’t been able to purchase a bike from Giant so I can not speak about the bikes themselves but customer service is appalling.
I’ve been trying to purchase a bike for last 3 months now, there hasn’t been any stock in my size and I’ve made several enquiries with the company and not had a single response.
I’ll take my custom elsewhere.

Avoid at all cost

I decided to buy a Trance E+2 pro hitch is the Worst design bike I’ve came across! Nothing but problems with the bike! Electrics are terrible and as soon as there is a bit of damp the bike will keep shitting off! Broken down so many times , can’t even wash your bike without it breaking!!! Also cost me £270 to get new parts as was waiting over 2 months for the warranty parts which eventually came and were wrong parts so had to fork out of my own money! Also can’t ever get hold of giant or answer emails!!

My Talon 3 2020 lasted 2 months …

My Talon 3 2020 lasted 2 months of normal use before the chain, cassette and crank/chainset needed replacing.

Initially the Giant retailer/bike shop advised me that they can't source a part and that i'd have to pay £200 for an upgrade! After a few emails and phone calls Giant agreed to replace the part on warranty but palmed the issue off back to the retailer to source a replacement crankset (i had already paid out for the chain and cassette replacement).

It's now the 3rd week with no progress, the bike shop can't find the part and Giant can't send them one - this is a brand new 2020 Talon 3!

I chose to spend slightly more on a better entry level bike compared to cheaper alternatives, i wish i had chosen the cheaper alternative now.

Giant Bristol

Visited the shop on 16/05. Decided on a Giant Propel Advanced Disc 1. The staff were amazing. Nothing was a problem. Allowed me to test ride the bike before placing my order. Bike arrived 6 days later and the attention to detail from the staff was truly amazing. I felt they wanted to make sure I got the right bike and they were not driven Just by the sale. Really pleased with the bike and look forward to dealing with Giant Bristol again when the first service is due. Great bike, great shop, great staff!

Superb service in Blackpool

Superb service in the Red Bank Road, Blackpool store resulting in one very happy customer! The extremely knowledgeable team made sure I got the right bike for me and helped with all the details I was unsure of. I’ll be back for my next bike bits for sure!

Frame design failure and bad warranty

Did love my Giant Fastroad SLR 1 but the frame cracked a year later. The Giant warranty team offered me a replacement frame but was not the same one I had bought as it was not available, its a 2017 model so not exactly old. I offered to pay the difference on a frame that would be better for me but they refused and offered me a lower grade frame instead. Don’t know what the point of that was.
I was a fan of the brand but this service is not worth dealing with them again.
The frame warranty will leave you with something that you don’t want, it’s their fault their design failed. They should be doing everything they can to rectify it, particularly when it wouldn’t leave them out of pocket as I’d pay the difference.

H2Gear Giant dealer

Worst customer service ever ! Next Day delivery did not make it, so Rachel told me I should have ordered earlier, couldn’t help me, told me she wished I would have shopped elsewhere and even hung up on me ! What utter garbage.

Think before you buy

So here we have a multi million pound company who’s customer service just do what they like, let’s say that you buy a brand new car and within the 1st 6 months it develops a major fault so you take it back to a brand dealer which is nearer, they in turn fix the car with parts under warranty and tell you that you have to pay the labour, this would never happen yet that’s what giant did with me and when I informed customer services 1stly I got no reply, then when I emailed again I was told it was in the terms and conditions ( 😡 ), and that they hoped I would have lots of happy miles, so having bought giant bikes for over 20 years I will now join another brand and bid giant farewell and thanks for nothing, had I realised how poor they were going to truly be I would never have bought the giant explore e+1 costing me a hard earned £2,599 and I would advise others to think a little before, if you live on the doorstep of a dealer then at least you won’t have to travel but you will be liable to pay for the labour, potentially a good buy but let down by aftercare

Cambridge, Hills Road store - really friendly people and brilliant service!

Honestly could not have asked for better service. The two men present at the time in the store went through all the details of the bikes I was considering and were clearly both very knowledgeable on the subject! They helped me make my decision, with useful and practical advice about which was the best value for my money, then made the bike up in less than a day, so I could collect it before my birthday! Thank you everyone at the Giant store.

My recent treatment by Giant Swansea …

My recent treatment by Giant Swansea and by Giant Head Office were very poor. I purchased a new bike online from Giant Cardiff and paid a £40.00 charge for the courier service. The courier split the box and lost the pedals the tool kit and pretty much all the bits you need to assemble and enjoy the bike. From here on the lack of after sales service kicked in and after two weeks of constant chasing I finally got all the parts. I was promised a call from the manager at nothing but it never came. I then took my complaint to Giants headquarters where a pleasant guy called from customer services and emailed me about the problems. When he found out that the manager at Cardiff was part of the problem he stopped communicating with me. It turns out the Swansea manager is a friend of his. End of customer service. The moral of the story is if your bike goes wrong just take it to Halford's as Giant will not want to know. Very poor Giant ... never again !
