Highly disappointed
Highly disappointed. I thought using a professional company would be more reliable, but unfortunately that wasn't the case.
I booked a Friday cleaning well in advance because we were having guests over that evening, and I work full-time. A few hours before the scheduled appointment, they cancelled, which left me in a very difficult situation.
They rebooked me for the following Friday. When I asked whether I would receive any compensation, such as a discount on the next cleaning, I was told they would get back to me—but I never heard anything further.
Fast forward to the following week: the cleaners didn't show up at all. I emailed to ask whether they could confirm if the cleaners were coming, but response back.
This is not the level of service I expected from a professional company. I would not recommend them if you're looking for a reliable cleaning service. Be prepared for same-day cancellations or even no-shows without communication. I certainly won't be using them again.

I found communication with this company…
I found communication with this company nigh impossible. Got window saying 'Not online at the moment' or similar each time, regardless of when I tried.
The first cleaner arrived 45mins early which was highly inconvenient.
Having explained what I asked him to do his reply was: '100%'. He then proceeded forgetting half of it.
The second time I tried to cancel the clean 3 days in advance. Gleam was difficult about it. Apparently the cleaner had already been specified and booked.
On the very day they emailed saying how rare it was for a cleaner not to show and apologized.
This was 3 hrs ahead of the booked time!

The worst ever
1. Last week the cleaner didn't show up at all. The customer services said they have nothing to do. No other available cleaners. Also not to the following day or twi. In other words, didn't do anything just forced me to rebook. I did for the following week.
2. The cleaner this week booked for 1 hour extra than usual because I knew the flat skipped a week on cleaning. 4.5 hours for 58 sqm 2 beds , 2 bath flat with a pre-request in the order forn to clean also the kitchen oven. The flat literally less clean than what it was in morning when I left to work. The kitchen oven is greasy as it hasn't been touched at all.
90£ cleaning costs down the drain.
I finished with these guys. Never again

Booked a fortnightly clean, got an email back confirming booking, and was very disappointed nobody turned up! Waited all day, sent an email and gleam said they would find out what happened. Emailed again as I needed to go out. Didn’t hear back from Gleam! No phone details to speak to anyone either. Also had a discount code that didn’t work. Not convinced this is a legitimate company.

They Lost My Property and Then Ignored Me
The cleaner threw away the bin of the lid. When I said that to the company, I was asked to look on the internet for the photo of my bin in order to jog the memory of cleaner. I do not have time to do pointless admin tasks for people who do not use common sense! I was offered a compensation in the amount 30% of the cleaning fee which " has been processed today and should be back in your account in a few days. " I never received this refund and when I asked several times, none responded to me. No need to bother with "This is currently under management review." as you have had a week to respond to me.
UPDATE: I was contacted immediately by GleamCleaning, who sent a patronising screenshot from the internet stating that money transfers can take up to 10 working days. This raises an obvious question—where exactly is the money being transferred from?
They also asked me to remove my review, which I declined.
I then received a message stating that they have “cancelled the refund pending removal of this review and will be escalating this via TrustPilot.”
If the refund was already processed last week, how can it now be “cancelled” this week?
This inconsistency is concerning and raises further doubts about their conduct.
UPDATE 2: I have now been informed by GleamCleaning that their offer of a refund has been withdrawn and that the previously “pending” refund has been cancelled. This is confusing, as I was told last week that the refund had already been processed.
They state that this decision is due to my review and my unwillingness to remove it, and have indicated that they are seeking legal advice.

Very disappointing first experience.
Very disappointing first experience.
The cleaner did a good job with the two bathrooms, however several other areas were missed or not cleaned properly. The hall was not dusted at all, the tops of picture frames in the office and bedroom were left untouched, and the kitchen floor and hob were left with visible streaks. A considerable amount of water from the cleaning bucket was also spilled onto the carpet next to the guest bathroom.
One of my specific requirements before the visit was that the microwave needed to be cleaned. Despite this being clearly stated in advance, the cleaner asked about it again on the day and it was completely ignored.
Another issue was that a very strong scented spray or perfume was used in the flat, which left such a strong smell that we had to air the property afterwards. I have supplied ALL cleaning products.
I sent detailed feedback to the company after the clean and asked to try a different cleaner next time. After not receiving any response to that feedback, I emailed again to cancel all future cleans. Only then did they reply, stating that because I was cancelling after the first booking, the service would be treated as a one-off clean at a higher hourly rate. Even worse, within a minute of sending that email, they charged an additional £6 to my card.
There was no acknowledgement of the feedback, no apology, and no real attempt to resolve the issues. As a first time customer, I found both the service and the way the complaint was handled very poor.

Three cancellations in one week
We had our cleaning cancelled three times in one week. One time was an hour before the cleaning on a Saturday where we had planned around it and the third time was 5 minutes before the cleaner was due to be here. This company is very unreliable.
