Terrible company that will take money straight from your account without your knowledge. They add hidden and confusing fees quietly over time and screw you for as long as they can get away with it.

I Have Never Delt With A More…

I Have Never Delt With A More Underhanded Company.
They Charge Infrastructure Fees Of $450.00 Then Two Months Later Charge $499.00 Annual Fee. Plus All The Hidden Fees They Charge Every Month. I Was Told I Would Save Money With Them, But My Fees Doubled. I No Longer Have Them And Am Very Happy With My New Company.

Dishonest and Disrespectful

My experience with Global Payments has been extremely negative. Funds were taken from my account without proper authorization or explanation, and despite repeated attempts to resolve the issue, I received little to no meaningful help.
Customer service was dismissive, slow to respond, and failed to provide clear answers or take responsibility. Each interaction felt like being passed around with no resolution, while my money remained missing.
This experience caused significant stress and financial disruption. Based on what I went through, I cannot recommend Global Payments and strongly advise others to proceed with extreme caution or avoid the company altogether.

Global Payment Thieves

My wife, who suffered from COPD and had impaired cognition, died on February 14th. She started a business called Cabot Cheesecake Corner, which was closed in April 2013. Unbeknownst to me, Global Payment continued to withdraw various amounts of funds from our joint bank account, amounting to thousands of dollars since that time, even though it had been canceled. Even the sum of withdrawals was much larger for the contracted monthly fees. These were unauthorized funds from a bank account.
I contacted them and asked if someone was using the account to commit fraudulent billing. I was told it was a charge for services, even if no charges were made. One month's bill exceeded 5,000 dollars. There was no accountability on their part.
My wife had attempted to get refunded; however, they offered a one-year refund of seven thousand one hundred forty-four and 60/100 dollars ($7,144.60), a small fraction of the funds taken, by Brandon Simpson, VP, Senior Associate General Counsel.
We have made several attempts to get a full refund by contacting several government agency and only received the top mention offer. We contacted several attorneys, who would not pursue the matter, only stating they do not the capability to handle the case.
Cayan/Global failed to conduct ongoing due diligence when the processor continued to remove funds from a dormant account for over 13 years, committing fraud by extracting fees way beyond agreed-upon prices. They failed to review transaction patterns, which any reasonable person would know: no one would pay thousands of dollars for a service they are not using, especially if it were not in the contract. Cayan/Global has been accused in the past of hidden fees, over billing, and unauthorized charges, yet it appear as they continue to be able to do so without consequences.

I have been with Heartland/Global…Stay Away - Check Your Fees Every Month

I have been with Heartland/Global Payments for several years. In November 2025 they increased my rates with no direct notification. I only found out during an audit months later. When I did the audit I discovered I was being charged between 8-9% in total fees, which was way above what I had agreed to. They were also charging fees on a third account I never authorized, opened at an address I had not used in years, with zero transactions ever processed.
Getting anyone to help was a nightmare. I was passed between multiple reps with contradictory information every time.
On top of this, my business has been experiencing a transaction decline rate well above industry norms for months. Real customers with valid cards confirmed by their own banks are being declined. The issue has been confirmed to be on Heartland's side and after weeks of calls and promises nothing has been fixed.
If you are considering this company, read every line of your statement every single month. They will change your rates without telling you and if something goes wrong, be prepared to fight for weeks to get anyone to take action.
I would not recommend them to anyone.

Errors, High Fees, No Support, Run the other way

I've used Global Payments (Unfortunately) for over 15 years. High junk fees, additional markup, and extremely poor customer service support are the trademarks of this company. They agreed on a refund due to an error on their part ( audio recording available) and refused to pay months later. They will give you a run around with due dates; they don't follow their own deadlines, or even call back, etc. I've already canceled two accounts with them, and I can't be happier about moving away from a company that is flat out morally corrupt, using deceiving tactics, and doesn't support customers. The fees alone, monthly or cc processing alone, poor customer support, from managers, especially, to broken promises (or lies) will overwhelmingly steer any sound business to their competitors. When I tried to compare notes with other companies, they offered a significant discount for one year, but would not do anything for the billing and technical errors on their end that caused undue charges on our account. Run the other direction if you ever encounter GP.

Global Payment TSYS Worst Putrid Company Ever

I sadly was with this foul money grubbing company for many years. When I think of the money they found numerous ways to swindle me out of I could throw up. I have reported them to the BBB. After I cancelled they continued to have me jacked around with the PCI Compliance company until I finally had that cancelled. Their customer service says one thing and then delivers another. Bait and switch champions at Global Payment. They are pure SCUM. If you love getting your hard earned money get wasted, cheated and grifted away from you then Global Payments is the right company for you.

They just added $499 annual fee to our account, the reason for this new fee was because of monitoring rules of government. Their rate per transactions keeping increasing when the sale agent said he warranted that the rate will never change. This company is crooked, stay away from them. Find other companies that are much better than this company

Worst company

Worst company, horrible customer service. Would use any platform but global payments. Have been waiting 5 days for them to refund a customer money and now we lost that customer.

Awful customer service

Awful customer service, and no one knows what they are doing. They set us up wrong, kept holding on to our money illegally, and 45 days later, we are still waiting for them to sort their shit out. Do not use them.

Do yourself a favour and do not work with them

Global payment is the shittiest platform ever. Their customer service is the worst I have experienced in my life. You call, explain your problem, and they create a ticket number to follow up, but they never get back to you again. You have to practically chase them like a dog to get your problem fixed, just so at the end, they say they cannot do anything about it. Every single agent tells you different things; they are not transparent, ethical or useful. "Their system" is always a problem, but they never find any solutions for you.

and unauthorized "claims," and this action may, in Slovakia,
constitute a violation of Section 226 of Act No. 300/2005 Coll. - Unjust enrichment.
The court has not yet ruled on the legality of this practice.

Lack of Transparency and Hidden Fees

They raise fees no matter what you have in writing. They managed to get up to 14% of my sales before I caught on. Use any other payment processing service! Avoid at all costs.

STAY AWAY

STAY AWAY! Useless company that request us to send letters by post and wait weeks for them to process it. This is the 21st century and to have to post letters out in the post is a joke! They're quick to send you a digital contract to sign and take your money but anything you want off them has to be written in a letter - what a joke!!

We found a better rate at a different…

We found a better rate at a different POS provider. After 3 years , we cancelled with global payments. They said they would have someone reach out to complete the cancellation. They did not, then challenged me the next month's fees, then when I called to why they did that and why my account wanna cancelled when I asked got it to be. They said it's not their responsibility to complete the cancellation. They then started the cancellation process 6 weeks after the initial request, by sending my a form to fill out and send back with the machine
They again charged my account this month and are refusing to refund the money they took again. This company is mediocre when you're their customer and shit if you try and leave them. Stay away

Beware of this company!

Brendan, the sales agent who set up my account messed up some of my info. Put a different business nature that caused my funds on hold. It’s been over a month now and still no resolution. MERCHANTS beware, they are only helpful when you are applying for an account with them and will then give you hard time when you need help afterwards. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!

Hidden fee equal 2x the deduction

after reviewing my statement, I noticed we were being charged twice the negotiated rate per credit card transaction, as a "interchange fee" under the rate fee with percentage.
When I called and shown the rep that even a simple google math validated I was being charged nearly twice the amount, they could not answer and transferred me to another dept.

Hidden fees

Hidden fees, early termination of 500$ , rates go up without notice. Also they charge a reputation of 45 and maintenance of 5, so 50$ dollars a month plus a raising percent. Customer support was nice when I canceled. But will never use this company again. 3yr contracts. Only used because it was used by Chirotouch (which is also shady with contracts).
