Written by the company

LSATDefenders was founded on a simple premise: no student should lose points to a test designed to trick them. Our founder, Daniel Arakawa, scored in the 99th percentile on the LSAT, was accepted to Harvard Law School, and brings over a decade of debate coaching experience at both the high school and collegiate level. He has worked with more than 100 students one-on-one — from starting scores as low as 128 all the way to 179 — and has yet to encounter a student his methodology didn't work for. What sets LSAT Defenders apart is the coaching philosophy. Most LSAT prep programs teach content. We train students to recognize traps, dismantle wrong answers, and defend every point that belongs to them. The difference shows in our results: students routinely improve by 10, 15, and even 30+ points under Daniel's guidance. Our tutoring roster is equally rigorous. Every LSAT Defenders tutor is handpicked and personally trained by Daniel — experts with decades of combined experience who apply the same battle-tested methodology to every student they work with. We also go beyond the test. LSAT Defenders coaches students through the full law school admissions process — because a higher score means more scholarship money, and we want every student to get paid to attend the school they deserve. Don't get robbed. Defend your score.

I loved my sessions with Brooke

I loved my sessions with Brooke. She took the time to thoroughly explain my problem areas and made great suggestions on how to address and improve them. She also gave me a different perspective on how to approach certain question types and the test overall, which I believe was incredibly helpful.
I especially appreciated that she acknowledged my progress and recognized when I did something well, no matter how small it seemed. That encouragement motivated me to keep pushing myself and improving.
Overall, Brooke was very easy to work with, and I felt completely comfortable opening up to her about all my LSAT challenges. Working with her made the process feel much more manageable and encouraging.

I was in a pretty bad slump before…

I was in a pretty bad slump before trying this program, and while my overall scores didn’t drastically increase, I have a better fundamental understanding of the process of answering questions than I did before, giving me more consistent scores.

Supportive LSAT Tutoring Experience

Due to personal reasons, I wasn’t able to complete the full tutoring program, but I still want to highlight how positive my experience was. Brooke, my tutor, was incredibly kind and genuinely invested in helping me reach my target LSAT score. She created a personalized study plan tailored to my needs and took the time to thoroughly understand where I needed the most support.

She asked thoughtful, targeted questions and provided clear guidance on how to approach my study plan, which gave me a lot of confidence in my ability to succeed. Even with limited time, I felt supported and motivated. I definitely plan to return once I’ve handled my personal matters.

Excellent Program

Mark Anthony was fantastic. He's quick, tough (in a good way), and excellent at explaining concepts. I would recommend LSAT Defenders to anybody!
