We’ve used Gobooney for years now and administratively, they seem pretty slick. We’ve never encountered a problem with them. However, I’d have a few points I would raised.

It would be so much easier, and especially transparent, if the they advertised the true and total price of hiring a Campervan. Something promoted at one price escalates as soon as you start the booking process. I’m not saying it’s unfair or wrong, just that it would be nice to know.

I also think the photo’s of vehicles should be kept up to date - obviously, the photo’s need to be attractive but many do not tell the entire story. The vans suffer the wear and tear that anything would over time so often their conditions is to be expected but again, it’s about transparency.

All that said, we’ve rented probably 5 or 6, different vans over the years… never had a problem and the owners have always been very helpful and upfront.

Having booked, paid and had my booking confirmed it was cancelled by the person renting it due to it being listed on another site. We’d booked flights to Scotland for this trip and Goboony support centre is not following their T&C’s to support me. Exercise caution with booking and it being confirmed until you’ve spoken with the person renting. Really disappointing and unreliable experience.

The Goboony platform is very easy and intuitive to use. The motorhome owner was very friendly and responded quickly to messages. The whole booking process was simple and smooth. Highly recommended.

Booking process very straightforward, just lacking a little clarity on the insurance costs and options.

Easy website to use with a good range of vehicles and tons of information. The people hiring responded quickly and in detail. Thoroughly recommend them.

There were many more campers available on Goboony than other platforms. It would be so much easier for hirers trying to make a selection if there was more consistency to the info provided for each van. eg overall dimensions, bed size, etc

very useful platform and has many options, assists you very quickly. I recommend to anyone who wants to rent a camper.

The home i hired cancelled on me with no recompense

Gobonny are happy to have cancellation fees for me, the client yet none when they cancel on me!

So easy to use and helpful plenty of information get a reply straight away and keeping you updated along the way

The app was easy to use and you can filter in the amenities you want the vehicle to have. The only thing I would like to see is a map of where all the filtered vehicles are located on one map and not having to look at each vehicle location individually as this was important to our itinerary. A bit like Booking .com that shows you all the hotels that you have filtered in a particular resort. I had to list each vehicle on paper as to where it was located so I could assess the most convenient location.

So far a good experience. All booked and ready to go.

The booking web site presents options and hire costs. You select a potential van, then you have to provide all of your personal information and, what felt like a begging letter to hire the van, all based on the initial price. When you receive a response the next day, suddenly the invoice is more than double the previous quotation. Goboony looks cheaper than the main campervan locations but it isn't!

Your reply does not address the excessive data collection prior to seeing the offer price. Equally does not address the fact that £400 for 5 days of hire seems excessive and overall your costs are above van hire through a conventional main hire company.

The actual website was OK but the search came up with vans that were not available for my dates as well as available vans which was frustrating.
A number of requests were never replied to but two were very prompt and I was able to book a van for July.
