Checked in took 2 hours, including various mistakes. Completely ruined holiday experience. Since the hotel was rid of receptionists, there were previous tenant come in and out and safety is in doubt.
Baffling app for a first time user. Booked a motel in Canberra from my desktop at home in Sydney. Downloaded the Goki app to my Android phone. Verified my details on the app. The app gave me a code and room number. Arrived at the hotel in Canberra. No-one at reception, no instructions. Found the room, entered the Goki code on the door. Code rejected. It sent me an email to my home in Sydney with a different code. But I am in Canberra. The Goki app won't let me change my email. Finally found a human being to open the door. Poorly designed, too many unnecessary steps. You should be able able to check-in (and do everything) on the app, not a mixture of email + app. Don't know how I will checkout, there is nothing in the app for that.
Goki is a fantastic product which we have just installed throughout our NZ hostel and it integrates with our PMS (Counter). In the post-covid quest for easy contactless check-in, goki is even more worthwhile. Guests download an App to use their phone as their key, or alternatively can use a Pincode. The Chief App which Managers use as a Master key is really easy to use. Also great for communicating with guests via the App. Mick and Jack are really helpful and responsive with getting setup, and are constantly looking for ways to improve and innovate further. Recommended!
