Goodleap financed my HVAC system

Goodleap financed my HVAC system in June 2025. I have been making payments to them since August 2025, and NOTHING has been applied to my balance. Emails, phone calls go without a solution. I have asked for paper billing, and in January, I had to almost fight for a paper invoice. I saw the invoice dated January 5, 2026 on their website. I also checked with USPS, and no invoice was ever sent to my home. I finally received the bill 1/27/2026. Goodleap wants to force the customer to go with autopay.
Terrible company. Total scam operation!

I’m warning all potential customers

I’m warning all potential customers, do not do business with V3 Electric who is the solar / battery installer or GoodLeap LLC which is the finance provider. Between both company the communication is absolutely terrible. Salesperson at V3 initially had us E-sign documents to get the quote started and made it clear nothing is set until company provides us final blue print and we move forward with installation. We never got to this point because the terrible service. Now finance company GoodLeap is demanding us to pay for something that never started. If V3 gets you to E-sign, don’t do it because it’s a scam.. good luck to all potential customers

Ridiculous excuse for a finance company-BEWARE!

Financed for 12 months same as cash terms for Anderson Renewal windows(great company & great product) with Goodleap. Sent a wire with the full payment amount at 11 months in. Got a call from them the very next day to set up payment arrangements. I told them the loan had been paid in full and to verify receipt (wires are immediate) and the customer service line says it will take 5 to 7 days. What? They have no way of verifying receipt of a transaction as a finance company? Doesn't instill a lot of confidence. Customer service folks just give you the run around & talk about standard procedure. If you ask to escalate who has greater access to account receivable, they terminate the call. Had to have my bank institute a trace on the wire which they confirmed were sent to the exact account on the payoff quote. I've never encountered any payoff processing issue with any other finance company I've worked with. Beware of Goodleap. I certainly will not do business with them ever again.

Update: Over a week and no confirmation of payoff. Can't reach customer service. Emailed today for full verification & receipt of loan payoff. What a horrible company.

GoodLeap - Operating Beyond Legal Boundaries

I had an extremely poor experience with this company due to prolonged mishandling of an account after the borrower passed away and I took over as estate executor handling this debt.

Despite being notified of the borrower’s death by phone and in writing, and later being provided official death certificates, the company failed to resolve the account or clearly explain its legal position. Probate was completed, no liable party was identified, no claim was perfected, and repeated requests for proof of claim or documentation were ignored.

Over many months, I contacted the company more than 20 times by email, sent a certified letter, and made multiple phone calls seeking resolution. Instead of addressing the issue, the company continued collection-related activity, demanded payment from a non-borrower, and communicated through channels that were expressly not authorized.

Even after legal written notice revoking consent to contact and prohibiting property visits, an agent was dispatched to the residence to leave materials. This caused unnecessary stress, particularly to an elderly surviving resident, and reflected a lack of internal coordination and respect for clear instructions.

What is most concerning is the impression that this company is willing to operate right up to — and potentially beyond — legal boundaries, seemingly relying on arbitration provisions and consumer fatigue. The approach felt less like an effort to resolve a matter and more like a strategy of delay and pressure, daring the affected party to take formal legal action before the company would comply with basic civil obligations.

At no point did the company provide documentation establishing liability or close the account. The experience was marked by poor communication, disregard of written notices, and an apparent unwillingness to act until forced.

I would strongly caution others to document everything and not expect timely or good-faith resolution.

I've been paying them on-time for the past few years but given how economy is doing as a whole, I've been having severe financial problems for future payments that there's a strong possibility of me declaring bankruptcy... I called Goodleap and asked for a payment deferment plan for a few months hoping to get some breathing room... but I was pretty much told to go f*** myself. They want me to take a credit hit first before they do something about it.

If I can give this company a zero star, I would. After I pay this thing off, I will NEVER, ever use their services again.

Do not do business with this company!

I could not pay the bill on their website, spoke directly with a person in their office to pay off the amount owed. The person purposely paid the amount minus 3 cents. I did not notice this error, and now since the full amount was not paid in time they billed me for the interest due for the 6 months of the loan. There should be a class action suit against this company!

Interest on payments

They didn’t even tell us the interest they charging will be front funded where the first 5-10 premiums will all go to interest and rest to principle where year. I am thinking that all the premiums are getting 11% interest charge and rest goes to principle but they don’t do that and no one told us. This was a surprise and biggest cheating game when they approved our loan for water pipe installation.

GoodLeap prioritized contractors over consumers

Used GoodLeap for a roofing loan. Roofers replaced my sheathing in the rain, causing lots of interior water damage. I promptly notified GoodLeap. They paid the roofer anyway a few days later, losing me a lot of leverage over the roofer to get repairs.

I got a loan through them for HVAC repair

I got a loan through them for an emergency furnace replacement. They called me "as a courtesy" to go over the loan details (like it would matter when I had already signed the paperwork) but really what they wanted was to try and get me to refinance my mortgage with them. The HUGE problem I have is that the person on the phone stated that it would only be a soft credit inquiry. That was NOT the case. I now have yet another hard inquiry on my account. What a great Christmas present!!

Goodleap is crooked.

Goodleap is crooked. They do everything in their power to make it so you do no pay the loan off on time and then get billed all the back interest. They promise a no interest if paid off in 18 months and then make it impossible to automate payment so you have to track it yourself. Every reputable finance company offers that. You cannot change the monthly auto debit, which is the minimum amount possible. You have to go in every month and manually make an extra payment. I added an extra payment for the first month and it canceled the autopayment. You cannot set up a monthly extra payment.

Their customer service is in some foreign land. Wish I hadn't taken this loan.

I had a solar company installed a system and goodleap financed the system. I was never notified about the app until 5 months later. I had referred my neighbor who then installed a system as well. Good leap has a refer program which compensate of $500 for the referral. I contacted corporate and spoke to a supervisor who then told me I did not qualify for the referral because I did not use the app for the referral. They loved that they were able to get more buisness from me and made alloy of money but will not give the credit where credit is due. I lost $500 dollars because they refused to help. That is not good buisness.

Horrible

Horrible. Please pay off the loan and get clearance. Do not deal with them. Horrible company with no professional timeline values. I had a option of not going through them, I will happily do that. But with new home have to have loan transfer, so stuck with them. Company needs to shut down ASAP, ESPECIALLY ASSUMPTION TEAM.

Vultures

Vultures. Government shutdown caused me to me a couple days late. Told them I was expecting a paycheck and would pay as soon as I had it. They still tried to pressure me into letting them take the money out of my account. I had never been late before. I constantly received emails and texts trying to get me to authorize taking money from me. I get they need pmts on time but have some courtesy that I'm not getting paid due to the shutdown.

Do NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!

Do NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Financed an AC unit through NextGen (also a trash company), and they filed a lien on my house! Everything on the loan is, and allways has been, more than up to date. But, they still filed a lien and said “it’s in the contract”. Hate this company. Would recommend that you stay far away from them and any company that reccomends them!

Deceptive & Corrupt Organization

I called the company at the beginning of October and ask them if I pay a payment early will the auto pay take the money out there. Customer service rep said no however they took it out anyway. when I call back to ask them to move the payment to the next month they said they could not do it. It was an extra payment. The company is a cheating company. I wish I would’ve never went with them and I am a veteran, a retired veteran of the United States Army and if I can advise any veteran to not deal with Goodleap I would advise them not to do any business with them because they are very deceptive company and even though they record what is being said, you could never trust them because they will lie to you on the phone and they will go to the opposite way, so please all veterans of the serve of the military service. Do not do any business with good Leap!!!!!

READ THE LOAN TERMS! 15 Years at 13%!

We financed a home improvement upgrade through a third party, who used GoodLeap to finance it.

Come to find out it was a 15 YEAR loan at 13% interest. We have made four payments so far...and looking at the statements, I realized that the entire monthly payment ONLY GOES TO THE INTEREST. I don't see how you can EVER pay off this loan! I can see how this would be a big money maker for them. BUYER BEWARE! I consider this a scam!

Loan from a year ago that I did not realize I had not paid.

I had a loan from a year ago apparently. I thought it had already been paid so I had not followed it further. I got a phone call a couple days ago and a phone call today telling me this outstanding. I was very surpised and wanted to check with the company I made the pruchase from to see if it had been pain. They had no record of it so I called back as I said I would and inquired on taking care of this. The first issue is I did not remember this loan, which is not good; however, when I called to take care of this I was spoke to 2 gentleman who were less than professional and one did not want me to talk to anyone else. He said it was my fault - too bad. Really?!?!? - hmm red flag.

My current issue is that the person who called me apparently a year ago (10/18/2024) about the loan at origin. I have never heard from this company since then until a couple of days ago. I have received nothing in the mail and no texts have been received.

The interest free period is over and reputable companies would send monthly notices or at least call after payments were not make to see how to collect their money. So for 1 year not work at all. I hanot received a call until yesterday. October 2025. This is not the practice of honest companies who want to give good customer service and get repeat business. When i told the person I needed to speak with someone else and he just kept asking me why and what for - over and over. It was so unprofessional. The second gentleman was not much better although at least polite.
I said I would pay the loan off today if they would remove the interest that they had sat on for 12 months. No go - not considered. I can only assume that Good Leap allows this go one for many months so they can collect high interest rates. Most companies will work with you. Most companies want our repeat business. I am appalled at the lack of consideration and care for the customer. I did not want to let it ride any longer now that I knew I had this loan to pay, so I called immediately to get a resolution started.

I have seen many more reviews since this morning that apparently demonstrate the lack of concern to get the loan taken care of in full but not gouge me with the high interest. This is how loan sharks work, right?!?!

I hope someone in management will read this and understand the damage to your reputation being done by uncaring customer service reps. I would really like to hear from you and resolve this.
