Probably one of the worst action cam

Probably one of the worst action cam. I lost 3 GoPro because a drop of water got in my « waterproof » camera. At just under 1 meter, this is not acceptable. And of course they blamed me… no guarantee because it got water in! Who’s fault? I have owned over 20 GoPro and know how to operate them! I’m now a very happy user of the other brand that makes drones!

Rubbish Software

I bought a GoPro Hero (2025) earlier this year as a replacement for my GoPro Session - they offered my a reasonable discount.

My experience with GoPro Quik was not good: long time to preview; long time to process footage; long time to export; image stabilisation is not optional and cases blurry footage; the software is not useable on a PC; etc.

I really regret this purchase. It doesn't matter how good the camera is if the backup software is not up to scratch. Certainly, this is the last time I spend money with GoPro.

Subscription Auto Renewal

I cancelled my subscription as it wasn't being used. I requested a refund which eventually got issued. Out of nowhere the subscription renewed itself and charged my paypal account again. This is unacceptable and this should not have happened. Now chasing up another refund and deleting my account. Not only this, but because this is a US based company there is a significant delay in customer support queries.

Yep - waste of time!

I'd agree with the majority of customers. I just wanted a replacement lens cap after losing ours half way up a mountain. Customer services just feeds back what you have said and then recommends you buy a lens cap for another camera which when challenged, they absolutely admit would not fit our lens. My advice would be not to bother contacting them - it's a waste of time. It's our second GoPro, will be looking elsewhere next time.

Gopro hero 12 stabilization stopped…

Gopro hero 12 stabilization stopped working with max lens mod. Signed up for gopro account so that I couldn't return one and support was the worst I have ever had from any product. They repeatedly kept requesting for information I had already given them taking a week to replay to every message until I gave up. I will never buy one of these cameras after 10 years of being a loyal customer and multiple cameras and add ons.

Extremely disappointed with GoPro

Extremely disappointed with GoPro. I’ve had multiple open cases for the same issue, and none of them were ever resolved. Their customer service is terrible they constantly close your case without actually fixing the problem. After dealing with this over and over, I’ve completely lost faith in the brand. I’ll never buy another GoPro product again.

Purchased a Gopro bundle and a couple of weeks…

Purchased a bundle a couple of weeks ago. It came with a free 1 year subscription. Looking at my card statement I was overcharged for the camera plus accessories AND I was charged for the subscription (should have been free for 1 year). Contacted Customer service, they are very difficult to reach and do not care. I received the camera and am immediately returning it, UNOPENED. GoPro is a complete waste of money. Their subscription is a scam — I paid and got nothing but headaches. Customer service was useless and did absolutely nothing to help. They didn't offer to rectify the "mistake". This company clearly doesn’t care about its Customers. I have a GoPro 10 with a lot of accessories that I use for scuba diving and adventuring but will NOT be spending another pound on GoPro. Switching to other reputable and more advanced brands and I recommend everyone else do the same.

The GoPro itself is brilliant

The GoPro itself is brilliant — no complaints there. But the cloud service? A complete shambles. Files hang forever in “Uploading,” can’t be deleted, and the app freezes or times out if you so much as check a message. Even on fast Wi-Fi, it behaves like dial-up.

You can’t manage uploads properly from the app or website, and there’s zero transparency about what’s actually backed up. For a paid subscription, that’s unacceptable. Feels like beta software that escaped testing.

GoPro: fix your cloud before advertising it as “seamless.” Right now it’s more like “stuck forever.”

I got the gopro 11 for surfing

I got the gopro 11 for surfing, for a year or so I thought it was great only used it 3-4 times at the most. The last time I took it out it leaked internally. There’s no way I hadn't closed the charging compartment properly, first thing I do is check all ok before powering up and going in the water. It doesn't do what it says on the box you cant use it underwater, not without it leaking!

FAKE SPECIFICATIONS


1. Company claims that GOPRO is waterproof up to certain depth. It is absolutely fake. My camera was not even immersed in water. Only a splash of water damaged the camera and battery inside.
2. Luckily, I did print benefits of subscription. It clearly says Guaranteed Replacement. There was no mention that there would be additional fee for replacement. Now they have updated benefits with (Replacement with additional fee +Tax).
3. Company refused to replace it even though camera didn't meet its mentioned specifications (water resistant).

Gopro payment safety

I've been a GoPro customer since the Hero 1 — they created something special, but now they seem not to care about their customers.

I have a subscription that lets you swap out older cameras that no longer work properly. There's a fee for the replacement — £99 — which I don't mind.

However, to pay that fee, GoPro will call you from the Philippines and ask you to say your bank details aloud over the phone. You have no way of knowing whether the person on the call will record those details for later misuse — it feels like a scam. If you Google this, you'll find many people reporting fraudulent charges shortly after giving their bank details.

How can we be expected to give out bank details over the phone in this day and age? GoPro has stated that if I don’t do this, my case will be closed. I requested a secure online payment form, but that was rejected. I am absolutely not comfortable giving a random person my details — and GoPro simply doesn’t care one bit about customer security.

I'm sorry to say that I’ll be leaving their ecosystem. They can’t be trusted to keep your personal information safe with the outdated and insecure payment methods they’re using.

It was always not easy to download clips from my GoPro 11 black. But now, IMPOSSIBLE. GOORO changed to be real Rubbish!
It looks like i have to my an Abo, even to download my own Videos.
To get Support from GoPro is completely impossible. So unfortunately I must say GOPRO=Rubbish!

Dear friends it’s been shameful that I buy the GoPro mini 11 brand new from eBay seller because after buying that brand new box pack when I open it by my hand it was full sealed package well after I charge it fully I put the 64 GB memory SD card brand new which I get from Amazon so after first time using it this brand new device for just 10 minutes it’s become heated and after 15 minutes it’s become heating so much that I can’t hold in my hand so I became shocked I reported to GoPro team by there own website after many things asking by there team members which I provided them & seen all the photos and evidence which they need it plus the need proof of purchase which also I attached in the email to them & I get form eBay co uk seller brand new they taken hell
Of my life asking this question that question which I provided them all ,
So they email me because you didn’t by from GoPro Dealer that’s why your warranty claim is rejected I attached those emails in this feedback so I STOP STOP STOP all of you buying GoPro products because they are playing with user members to claim there warranty even that your GoPro is brand new these gadgets are heavily damaged & heating issues which can damage you & your family & your life so STOP buying these products,it’s

I was misguided by the advertisements…

I was misguided by the advertisements of gopro cameras and I made blunder mistake and purchased gopro black 13 camera in February 2025 from currys. I started using it in the last 2-3 and it does not work at all. Curry's gave me only one month to exchange or replace. I tried to call gopro customer services, these are never available. If anyone thinking of buying gopro in future, just imagine that this is money down the drain. This is con company and cheating people with their own concocted adverts to persuade people to buy their rubbish products. I have now alternative but to throw it in this gopro 13 in dust bin. BE AWARW OF THESE CONS.

Disabled, Avoid GoPro like the Plague

If you are disabled then GoPro will go out of their way and will NEVER support you at all after purchasing their equipment. I did have telephone support at one time and now they prevent you from speaking to them.
I tried to update my email address as they defrauded me with illegal discounts which I would have lost if I had not managed to return products incorrectly discounted costing me money.
The free year went astray and trying to obtain parts a week or so ago was NOT possible as GoPro screwed up both email accounts.
GoPro Support Case 15839588. These so-called agents do not understand or just do not care when they have been told before I have severe Osteoarthritis & Rheumatoid Arthritis in Fingers & Hands. This makes it very difficult & painful to type.
As you are so uncaring GoPro and lack the ability to support me and have taken the support away which I needed then it is a case of returning all the items back to you as you now cannot assist me in the way you did before. Had you told me when I purchased the equipment you were NOT GOING TO SUPPORT ME I would have gone elsewhere and purchased from a company that will support me. My credit card company tried to prevent me from purchasing from you as your poor reputation has gone before you. I have now seen all the ONE STAR REVIEWS and the context of them and am quite amazed and not surprised you have removed the phone support as you lack the ability to resolve any problems that you have been presented with.

Farewell GoPro

Well , I have just heard back from GoPro and they are not prepared to replace my GoPro as it is out of warranty. Even though this was the first time it went into water. It seems that after a long connection with GoPro having had GoPros 5, 7, 9, and two 10’s it has come to an end. They have said there must have been dust or something like that allowing water in… really! 2inches under water? Customer service has not been good. It has taken 6 days to get a reply. The caller told me that they have had no issue with theirs…..well good for you! I have put two GoPro cameras in 2 inches of water and both mine stopped working immediately. I am sorry to say I can’t recommend GoPro to my fellow photographers any more, and certainly their after sales service. Sadly looks like DJI Osmo 5 from now on….. no reports of any water damage to them on the internet. Looks like 18 years with GoPro is over.
