Tried to order online long story short I couldn't, kept saying "Were sorry, but your order could not be placed. Please confirm your address and payment information is correct. If you feel this is a mistake please contact customer support"
I tried various payment methods and emails to no avail triad clearing the cache, tried different browsers and devices, even tried VPN's still didn't work,

They are the alice in wonderland of cameras what is up is down.
Don't believe a word of what they claim or say, not waterproof at least not guaranteed waterproof (it says this in their fine print) and from the many negative comments here they also don't offer guaranteed camera replacements.

Australian Customers - International shipping costs
As an Australian customer you would expect when you buy an accessory it comes from a local warehouse. Not the case, any accessory you buy they add on international freight charges making it almost pointless having the discount in the first place

I am writing to file an official complaint regarding case #15768870. It has now been two weeks that I have been trying to receive proper assistance, yet my emails remain unread, and the replies I do get are nothing but automated links that are completely irrelevant to my issue.
This type of support feels unprofessional and almost as if it were dictated by artificial intelligence rather than a real operator. Meanwhile, I am still left with a completely non-functional camera, and I feel ignored and misled.
At this point, I am deeply disappointed with the lack of real support and I regret having trusted GoPro. I sincerely hope that by filing this complaint I will finally receive concrete help to solve my problem.
Terrible product!!! Just bought a hero 13 GoPro brand new…
Just bought a hero 13 GoPro brand new and I am traveling through Central America and I cannot even get this camera to set up properly. It keeps creating some phantom Wi-Fi network which, of course it cannot connect cannot update the forced hardware/software update step. Without passing this step, there is no using this camera. I have tried everything, including booting down my phone, my camera, and even my Wi-Fi and nothing has worked and worst of all I am getting no responses whatsoever from GoPro, nor am I getting any responses from the buyer on Amazon, which I just gave one star rating and also started the return process. Unfortunately, the return process might be difficult because again, I am traveling through Central America and shipping back to the United States is incredibly expensive. I do not under any circumstances recommend buying this GoPro or any GoPro for that matter. I will start my research on some competitive products which are much cheaper and most likely will at least allow me to use the camera and take video. If the quality is not as good as GoPro… At least I have some video and not a blank screen.

I don't understand how this brand is regarded as one of the best. My unit went faulty within a year. Customer services is only contactable via email, already a bad sign. Takes forever for replies and they are highly unhelpful. There are better products out there now, avoid GoPro.

I’ve been a loyal GoPro customer for years, but my recent experience has been incredibly disappointing. I purchased a new GoPro accessories bundle, only to find that my GoPro and SD card had been stolen from the package before delivery.
For the past two weeks, I’ve been trying to get support from GoPro, but all I’ve received are slow, half hearted replies and no real progress toward resolving the issue. The lack of urgency and care from their customer service has been shocking, especially from a brand I once considered the best in the industry.
Sadly, this experience has made me realise that GoPro is no longer the leading, customer-focused brand it used to be.

I have now contacted Gopro more than 30 times about this issue and it is still not resolved.
Gopro charged me TWICE for TWO YEARS for my subscription after it appeared to have set up 2 accounts (with the same email ID) one paid via credit card, one paid via Apple pay. After much chasing it agreed to refund one fee, and it cancelled the account. But now i find it has cancelled BOTH accounts linked via email despite me paying for a subscription until August 2026. Ive now got an email saying all my videos will be wiped in 7 days. Every time I contact Gopro they tell me it is resolved - and their operators make more mistakes. Complete and utter incompetence. Do not buy this brand. DJI Osmo Action Pro has better image quality and MUCH BETTER customer service.
Impossible to contact customer service
Impossible to contact customer service. They charge you for a subscription even after you cancel auto renew. They don’t send out notifications that they are going to charge you or receipts that they did charge you. I only randomly found it checking my credit card statement. Then you have to jump through hoops to get them to respond. They used to be amazing but now seem more like a scam. I’ll be reporting them to the attorney general’s office tomorrow.

I'm ashamed of myself for buying GoPro with out reading the reviews.
Bought a camera for £333.00 , it was not working and supoort do not exisit in UK, everything has to go via email and the response time is anytime between 24 hours to 48 hours on working days, no support on weekdays. I was in a way lucky because the camera was not working from day 01, if something would have gone wrong after 30 days I would have lost entire money and I can guarentee no one would come in supprot from Go Pro team.

So far my case has been closed three times with no resolution from go pro. Emails aren't replied to, there is no phone number to call and the live chat just takes you round in circles. Opened up a Support Case 15745010 Jillian L - and had return communication as GoPro 12 has gone into a loop of turning on and off, I pay my subscription also. $16? a year, because I did not reply in 24 hrs they closed my case I accidentally found out by logging in. Now it is impossible to get a return email, even after sending all required info. They send a address verification email that does not work..... even after you have sent and reiterated all the details. Its like the are lingering hoping you give up. Have rang all numbers given and it tells you to go online. Or they are disconnected. I have opened a message chat and no one replies. SEEMS GO PRO HAVE GONE AWAL THIS LAST MANY YEARS. As 10 years ago they replaced my camera and help was wonderful. Seems no accountability is held by anyone these days.... (just got an email, asking address verification AGAIN which doesn't work) I would stay away from Gopro to be honest.

My initial gopro 11 black battery melted, which could have been a fire hazard. Luckily I was in the room and noticed the burnt smell as it melted the cable to charge it.
Then after months of emails and calls they finally sent us a replacement that now that it is day 1 of trying to use it, it just simply won’t turn on even. We tried 3 recommended memory sd cards, none work even thought they are in the gopro list of cards to get… i cannot even get the camera to turn ON. I have never been so dissatisfied with a camera ever. Sony builds ever lasting cameras you guys build cameras that either set on fire or the replacement won’t even turn on. And i tried 2 fully charged batteries and 3 memory cards … how terrible is this?? What a waste of money and time… terrible is an understatement

I ignored my friends’ advice, who warned me not to buy GoPro. They told me to go with Insta360, which has better customer service and more reliable products. I regret not listening.

The battery crashes, the camera often shows artifacts, and video quality is subpar for the price. If you try to get help, all you’ll find is a glossy Instagram feed with biased posts, no real help or accountability. It’s frustrating and misleading.
If you value your money, peace, and tech experience — do NOT buy GoPro. For me, it felt like the moment I bought it, bad luck began, and the product brought only regret and stress. Ripped off by GoPro
I got a GoPro Hero10 Black for my birthday 17/03/2024, for my freediving adventures. A couple of months later, when I got the protective housing, the battery wasn't charging. A few months later GoPro sent me two batteries, but the Camera still wouldn't work. Sent the camera with the protective housing, and when I finally got it back, it came without the housing. Add to all this trouble that GoPro won't deliver to Canary Islands (where I live), so I have to use a friend's address in Madrid, and receive parcels when I visit. To the date, I haven't been able to use my camera in nearly a year and a half. I have answered endless phone calls and emails that just look like GoPro is making fun of me. What a waste of time, energy and patience. Not to speak of the hundreds of euros spent just to live a nightmare. I have answered all mails and my patience is over. Now I am taking action and telling everyone I can. This is the first step. Copy and paste this review everywhere I can. I am so angry...

The camera over heat after just one use and they respond with you need a subscription and to pay to exchange we are aware of over heating issues and it melting if you use high definition etc but even with admitted that they won’t replace or refund use insta 360 or any other camera GoPro won’t be around long with how they’re treating people it may have been my fault with time I bought just after lockdown used once then work took over it sat in it case I wanted to use again this summer thinking I bought the top camera to only find out on second use it didn’t work due to melted inside it was 11 black I thought they would honour this as they could test and easily prove one time use shame as did a good job until 2nd use good luck with them if you do go for it but I recommend you get a cheaper or better company camera case 15701993
wrong design useless support
useless support that expect you will have bill for the gift (bad policy when it comes to exchange/fixing product) and bad wrongly designed accessories (volta cable broke - refused to exchange...) I guess I will be moving to djj action 5 (or action 6 as it soon will be released) - my relationship with GoPro lasted just 8 months - and its long enough - just painful... pain after pain after pain - played with action 5 that my friend own - loved it - all pains of GoPro (overheating, low battery life, lack of night mode etc - you know that - all solved! GoPro is 4 years behind when it comes to software - at least) go for better product from the start and ignore GoPro. That company is no longer industry standard.
Those guys asked me to subscribe (paid subscription) and try to sell me accessories with discount after - ergo they wanted 100+ USD for exchanging wrongly design accessories to another wrongly designed accessories - I just bought 3th party power handle grid with 2x/3x the power + designed in right way - for... around 20-24 USD... they are indeed little out of touch with reality at GoPro... ;)
