Well Hung Vineyard Gordonsville, VA
I recently ordered at Well Hung Vineyard and was really disappointed—especially given the price.
I paid $16 a small salad and the quality did not match the cost at all. The greens tasted like basic bagged salad mix, and the toppings were shockingly minimal: about 2–3 tiny fragments of onion (not even full slices—just partial rings that didn’t even add up to one whole onion ring), half of a strawberry, a barely noticeable pinch of goat cheese, a few candied pecans, and a very sweet dressing. I honestly wish I had taken a photo because the portion size and presentation were surprisingly underwhelming.
For what was presented as a premium menu item, the portion size and ingredient quality felt far below expectations. It felt more like something assembled quickly from low-cost ingredients rather than a thoughtfully prepared dish.
I don’t mind paying higher prices for good food, but this felt like very poor value and left me feeling disappointed.
