Making labels is so easy with Shippo!
The setup time is almost nothing. You can import information from the commerce site you use or make labels by manually moving information over one at a time (that's what I usually do). I love that I get to see prices for USPS, UPS, FedEx and DHL so I can easily choose the service I want to use. Purchasing insurance is a breeze. Printing labels is easy. If I need customer service, they get right back to me.

Rip off predatory shipping service
I printed out a label one time. 3 months ago. No notification, no warning that this would become a $19 subscription. I inquired about it a day after the charge, 3 days and I have talked to several different employees who refuse to give me a refund. Says they can't because I closed the account (which btw is the only way you can remove your credit card information) and they don't care. They will not refund you. Funny because they had no problem randomly charging you in the first place. A red flag is a service that makes it difficult for you to not get charged, makes it difficult for you to get rid of the subscription, will not refund you despite the fact that you will never get use out of the $19 service. Stay away from this company they will take your money. I'm immediately disputing won't my bank. Ridiculous. Horrible service. Have never experienced so much incompetence and lack of customer service in my entire time using a postal type service.

NOTHING BUT FRUSTRATION
Every single time I have used Shippo, I have experienced extreme frustration. Literally nothing works like it’s supposed to. Sure… they’re always apologetic DAYS LATER… but whenever you contact customer support during your awful experience, there’s no immediate help. So there’s zero resolution. The labels you print out will have your PERSONAL, NOT BUSINESS, information on them. If you’re using a thermal label printer, FORGET being able to use it for Shippo! Since their labels print out landscape instead of portrait, the best you can do is print it on a regular printer on paper and cut it out yourself and use a lot of tape to tape it to your box. Trust me, every time you use it, it’s an exercise in nothing but frustration. So I’ll no longer put myself through it. I’m done!
Zero contact back after losing high value packages

They are boyond rubbish. The team have no clue on customer service or how to handle their accounts.
We have been trying to reach out to them for nearly 2 weeks about a missing high value (almost $100k USD) shipment. They say they are chasing internally but nobody ever gets back.
It is really disgraceful service. They try to blame other companies, but then they won't even respond to our basic requests for a callback.
I would strongly advise you to avoid using them.

Declines all my card, even though they all had money
Needed to send something out ASAP in the morning, been using shippo forever. Past few months, they won't accept my payments. I have ton of money on all my payment and credit cards, and they still won't accept it, I'll never use them again. They screwed me big time today.

Shippo is very easy to use
Shippo is very easy to use and has saved me a lot on shipping stuff. As I am not a retailer with discounted rates available, this is the next best thing.
Difficult interface and annoying changes
The app interface is poorly designed for customer searches and repeat shipping, and they make unannounced and non-optional frequent changes. Earlier this year they added a Shippo insurance option to every transaction that has to be deselected each time, adding a minimum of 1 extra click to every label. If you miss it, you have to cancel the label and make a new one or eat their extra charge. Recently they changed the time to delivery on mailing options from # of days (1 day, 3 days, etc.) to a date, so now you have to keep a calendar handy to see when your package will be delivered, which is tricky for weekend sensitive shipping items. We have used Shippo for 3 years but have had enough.
