I applied to Go Tax Refunds as I am a full time carer out in the field and they promised they could claim back some tax for me that I was entitled to.
After being paid out and Go Tax refunds took their ‘cut’ I was then contacted by HMRC to say that this company had claimed for taxes that I was NOT entitled to and have claimed too much for myself. HMRC are now saying I owe them £1800+ for claiming taxes that I wasn’t entitled to. Ofcourse this company will claim the MAXIMUM amount they can so they get a good ‘cut’ then aren’t there to help when everything falls through. As long as they got their payment they don’t want to know. I’m now left in £1800+ worth of debt with HMRC that adds interest on top also!!!

Thank you for your feedback. However, we would like to clarify that the review you have provided contains some inaccuracies.
HMRC have not stated that you were not entitled to claim the expenses. Rather, your claim was selected for a routine review, which HMRC conduct on a sample of claims. As part of this review process, they requested supporting documentation, including evidence of your expenses and a copy of your employment contract.
We worked closely with you throughout this process and submitted all available expense evidence to HMRC on your behalf. However, at the time of the review, you were unable to provide your employment contract. As we explained, HMRC require confirmation that your employer does not reimburse you for these expenses. Without the contract, HMRC decided not to uphold your refund. We proceeded with the review documentation based on your instruction to submit without the contract.
Since then, you have obtained your employment contract, and we are now actively supporting you with an appeal of HMRC’s decision. We remain committed to helping you achieve the best possible outcome.
Additionally, we have assured you that if HMRC request repayment of the refund, we will return our fee for the affected portion of the claim. We do not retain our fee if a claim is ultimately unsuccessful.
We hope this clarifies the situation and reassures you of our continued support.

Disappointing results
They took forever to finish my refund and nothing was clear to me about their charges or how much refund they secured for me. There was no proof of communication from hmrc on verbal ' hmrc is asking for receipts'. Initially was told that I was going to get around £650 but only received £51 with no explanation on how we got there. Totally feeling the loss. Also people I referred were paid way before me but I got nothing

The timeframe on the claim depends on a couple of things, how quickly we get information from the client and what type of expenses are being done for them.
I can see the route of expenses for yourself, was postcodes whereas others may provide mileage expenses in a different way and unfortunately as we have to type each individual postcode into a mileage log the postcode claims do take longer than others.
Regarding the amount and no communication, I can see that we have sent many emails and messages surrounding the claim, the expenses, the evidence required for the claim and the breakdown of the refund amount. Due to not being able to gain any evidence of meal purchases, we were only able to claim for the travel costs for you which is why the estimation and the actual claim were different.
We want all customers to be happy with the service they received, and we are sorry you were not. If you would like to discuss the claim further please contact our team direct, who will be happy to help.

We are living in a world which is highly infested with Scammers. I was skeptical at first,but because my friend recommended these guys,I kept the faith! Some of the personal info which they require makes you a bit unsettled but hey,trust them. They know what they are doing. I couldn't believe it when I got a bank notification saying I have been paid my tax refund. What are you waiting for,get your tax refund back through these guys. They are fast and effective. A spherical thank you to Sarah (and your team which I can't remember they names,sorry). Sarah kept me updated up to the end.
