Was very dubious and only first ordered…

Was very dubious and only first ordered as we got a massive discount. Was surprised by what was delivered. Amazingly fresh, easy to follow instructions and very very tasty. Great portion sizes and choice of menus. We are hooked and will be using you from now on. No waste, great value. Well done guys

Just no

Just no. Quality of their meat is awful. "Fresh" salad and vegetables are anything but fresh. Swapping out one meat for another at the last minute with no notice to amend the dish.

Undecided...

I've had 4 deliveries now and apart from the very first box, every box since then has been wrong.
From missing ingredients, ingredients burst & leaking to totally the wrong recipe sent in the box. No explanation as to why....

Smelly Fish

Received my first order because of the special offer advertised online, well polished sales person with a UK accent called me after I expressed an interest in purchasing the products at a one off special price, sounded so efficient & guided me through placing my first order, after I placed an order my first meal arrived; unpacking the delivery box I noticed the fish though frozen / soft was starting to thaw, once opened I did smell something I didn’t like, the freezing date was October 2024 and the product is okay for 18 months which would have been April 2026, I received my order in June 2026 two months after the recommended’sell by date’ as stamped on the product packaging.

I decided at that point not to eat it and I binned the fish rather than chance any risk of food poisoning.

I submitted my displeasure to Gousto & they certainly were not jumping up & down to try & resolve the issue, I was asked to return the product packaging which would have been fully thawed out and I certainly was not going to open a package that had fish inside for the last 20 months.

I am not happy with Guosto given me beyond end of shelf life products and possibly putting my health at risk if I didn’t notice the packaging / freezing dates, my first impression of this company is not good and I would advise potential purchasers to reconsider ordering from this company & for recent purchasers to quality check the sell by dates when you receive your products.

I am certainly considering reporting this matter to my local Environmental Health Officer.

NOT a happy customer & I think Gousto don’t like dealing with unhappy customers hence this review, almost two weeks after receiving my first order they still have not dealt with this issue.

Good but beginning to have problems

This is still the best home delivery food service but lately the quality of the ingredients is not as good as it was and at times some ingredients are missing so to complete the recipe I have to buy the missing items.

Many thanks for the response from Gousto but its not much use just copying and pasting my own review as your response!!

Its been good

Its been good and we have now found 2 dishes that we would repeat on. Some dishes the proportions haven't been great. The food last week did go off the carrots spinach, I appreciate that its been unusually hot, but it has been wasteful one whole dish was off by the time we cooked it. I am trying to save not waste and introduce new dishes. i would say that you are missing good salads in this hot weather Asian salads that you can have with dry chicken dishes. or you have a dish where you could potentially swap a beef to chicken or a veg option . Deliver we have changed delivery dates as its not getting to our neighbour just left at plain site at the front door and in this heat.

Dreadful selection

I missed my email about choosing my next recipes and then received one with the list of items on it . To say it was the worst choice possible would be an understatement. I emailed them to ask if it could be changed and they said they could not alter it and its based on previous orders and what is in stock . I dont eat pork but love other meats ...this was the selection
Plant based mushroom lasagne, Mushroom Bourguignon, Pork tortellini, Pork and mushroom stew and pork ragu. Looks like what they couldnt get rid of . They were very unhelpful and so I have now cancelled my subscription and it will go in the bin

I’m delighted with my first order

I’m delighted with my first order. It’s teaching me how to cook. I’m 52 and don’t know half the names of the spices and extras I’m adding but the outcome is fabulous. Really enjoying cooking and not worrying about shopping. Delivery was super fast. The wait of food is good. I’ve ordered my second box. 📦

Definitely recommend

We’ve been ordering Gousto for around 6 months or so now and have loved it. Any minor issues we’ve had (the odd damaged ingredient due to transit) has been sorted straight away through their app.
We’ve tried other, similar, companies but have found Gousto to have the best menu/selection for us.
Would most definitely recommend.

Large food quantities missing

Second box that has had Rotten, and squashed food. Also food missing! Whole chicken portion, and a whole salmon portion!

I like the fact it makes my weekly…

I like the fact it makes my weekly meals easier my disappointment is there's a lot of similar meals and the chicken especially could be better quality with more vegetables, due to this I may consider cancelling my subscription

Great recipes and I’ve learnt how to cook quick and tasty food. I previously used Gousto then stopped for a while and I missed it. Not having to think about what food to eat each night is great.
