It's been over three months now and my wife is still waiting on her passport!!! I mistakingly applyed for my wife's passport renewal using the govassist website, thinking that I was on the Department of State website. That's on my though it is a bit confusing. I went ahead and filled out the form and sent in a jpg passport photo. Severaly weeks later, my wife's passport arrived...with a picture of someone else on it!!! I notified GA of the probme. They took several days to get back to me. Their solution was to send us an application with the correct picture and a check for $130 to cover the DOS fee. Apparently, the wrong picture was their mistake as the DOS would not chage anything if it was a DOS mistake. After sending the new application in, 2-3 week later, we got a letter from the DOS stating that the check had been returned by the bank! I called emails and sent messages via chat for two weeks with no response from GA! Finally, the chat agent said that they would refund the $130 and I could send in the payment. However, several days went my with no refund issued. I also asked for a refund of their fees which they said they would review but nothing has posted as of yet. I've disputed both charges.

Everything was quick but. . .
Everything was done in a timely matter but I do have one gripe. The automatic AI based photo reviewer said that my submitted digital photo was acceptable but then I got my submission back in the mail saying my photo was not acceptable.
