I hate to even give a one star review

I hate to even give a one star review. The Grace's website is very misleading. I ordered a bag, that was supposed to be hand made leather - it is poor grate plastic and I would be embarrassed to take it out in public. I really do not believe any of the positive reviews as they sound to goody goody and made up. I don't believe that Grace's Bags makes some "great leather bags" for some buyers and poor quality plastic for others. It is a SCAM - don't waste your money, these bags come from China or India and they are laughing their way to the bank on fools who fall for their deceptive advertising.

SCAM. SAME BAG IS $9.99 ON TEMU. PLASTIC, NOT LEATHER! I AM GOING TO DISPUTE IT ON MY CREDIT CARD!

I wish I had seen these reviews before…

I wish I had seen these reviews before I purchased two bags last fall. Very poor quality....saying they are going out of business is just their way to lure you...I fell for it. I sent numerous emails about returning them for a partical refund. It tooks weeks to finally get a reply. I paid for the shipping costs to China. I was shocked that they were sent back to me with package unopened. Truly an unethical business.

Update on my experience with Grace Bags

Update on my experience - they responded finally after I sent them a ton of emails. I asked for a 100% refund and return of bags - they refused - finally offered me 60%. I refused and continued to present my case to AmEx. Finally, I won and got a credit from AmEx. It was a matter of principle. I pointed out their refund policy and poor service and the fact that they advertise as leather bags and THEY ARE NOT LEATHER. keep track of your emails and challenge your credit card companies. It took 3 months !

Not necessarily a scam

I've had my Grace's bags for about 3 months now, ordered BEFORE i saw information on this being a scam. Honestly, the 3 bags I received were EXACTLY as described on the web-site, and made of quality leather. Yes, I was lured in by the closing sale, but the prices I paid were reasonable for the quality I received. They arrived timely and while only one of them actually works for me, I've gone way past the time where I would even try to do a return so have no experience on that end. I haven't seen any fraudulent activity on my transaction method so I'm ok for now. Perhaps I got lucky and I was one of the few they actually DIDN'T scam.....

Good tote, dishonest advertising!

This store is lying to you when they advertise a “going out of business” sale!! Don’t fall for this scam… Grace Bags is not “going out of business” at all it’s just a marketing tactic.

Updating: They are now threatening to takedown my review! :-( … Why? I do not understand, I gave an honest review. I felt scammed as this company is advertising a “going out of business sale” when in fact they are not planning to go out of business at all. They only want to pressure you into buying.

P.S. I do like the big tote bag I received from them.

The bags were advertised as genuine and…

The bags were advertised as genuine leather and they were not. I bought 4 bags as gifts and they were cheap and I would have been embarrassed to give them as gifts. Very disappointed!!

Bag falling apart

I purchased 3 bags, one for me and two for gifts. I started using mine after Christmas 2024. I’ve been using the Alina bag, “Grace’s Signature Design” and it’s already falling apart. A seam on one zipper came apart and the zipper came off. There are threads coming apart all over the bag. I have pictures but cannot upload them here. The bag has poor construction.

The bags were lovely

Last I heard from them they were to talk to someone to see about my damaged bag. After the arrival of the first order which was placed before the problem order never heard back from them so do not see any advantage to start it all over again. I had the bag fixed myself - it was for a gift- The bags were lovely. But delivery was a nightmare . Wanted my residential ended up being delivered via my P> Box My orders took from October to December to arrive . One had a loose tab sent photos and were going to see to the problem as my time was out for return- . Never heard another word . Would not order again too much hassle

Grace’s bags and Barclays bank

Hi. The first thing is to realise that this is not the company as in the ads. This is actually a Chinese company cloning the original posting, they have also used a very similar blurb about cashmere sweaters and cardigans. I stupidly fell for the ad and ordered 2 ‘leather craftsmen’s made’ bags. The next morning I woke up, read the reviews and realised I’d been conned. So I phoned up my bank - BARCLAYS. They refunded the items and I thought no more about it. I did receive mails re a dispute, but having got my refund I stupidly (again) ignored them. The bags arrived. The most awful plastic items stinking of plastic. I mailed the company and offered to return them if they sent me the postage - no answer. Then I eventually heard from BARCLAYS that the dispute had been settled in favour of the Chinese crooks and withdrew the sum. I then phoned and after much (huge) hassle reached a person, I said just look at the reviews! You are repaying a scammer and as I’m a long standing BARCLAYS client, the bank did repay me. It seems that the original payment was from the bank, I was not informed about this and that as I didn’t carry on the dispute it was settled in favour of the Chinese crooks. It seems that the sale of goods act does not apply in this instance and that BARCLAYS investigation dept lacks the nouse to spend 2 minutes researching GRACE’S BAGS on line.
I am now extra vigilant and go by the maxim that ‘if it’s too much of a bargain it is’. Don’t be suckered!
PS The response below is from the Chinese company, don’t be suckered, do your research! They are crooks!

I order 2 leather bags for Christmas. They were definitely not leather but cheap synthetic leather.
I would never order from this website again. What a scam!

Not Happy at ALL!!

Unfortunately I had to give only 2 stars. I purchased a bag from them I like a lot. When I received my bag it had strings hanging from the stitching. The picture on the website did not have loose strings coming out at the seams. A few months later because the other bag was a bit big I got another bag and it was not like the picture. I wanted to return it. They suggested I order another bag and they give a discount. They wanted me to avoid shipping back due to custom cost. I told them the bag I wanted and they quoted the same price of the bag. No discount. So I wanted to ship it back and they offered 15% back of the price I paid. I’ve emailed several times and no response. This is not how you do business. Not sure why I’m being ignored but I definitely will not purchase another bag. Nor will I recommend them to anyone. Not honoring your own suggestion is disappointing. Customer service is not customer friendly.
