A recently qualified barber named Jasmine in Leopardstown gave me an excellent haircut today. Her attention to detail was excellent for someone so young.

Just had one of the worst haircuts

Just had one of the worst haircuts
@GraftonBarber in Drumcondra. The person cutting my hair ignored what I had asked for, was not interested in what they were doing. Now I have to go elsewhere to get it fixed. #DreadfulService.

Horrible experience

Horrible experience. Customer service was limited to ‘hello’, ‘goodbye’ and ‘how much do you want to take off’. No expertise in cutting hair, who starts aggressively brushing curly hair when bone dry? He only shaved the back off and did not touch the rest of my hair, no layers, no trimming, no removing my long hair from the forehead. When he said ‘done’ the haircut looking liked nothing and my hair was fluffed up like I touched and outlet for an hour. Highly recommend avoiding this place.

Why won't you cut women's hair

Apparently you have a new policy not to cut women's hair - even a shaved undercut. Why? It's ridiculous.

Hi Trisha, firstly we appreciate your feedback and for bringing this to our attention.

We’re VERY surprised to hear this as the majority of our stores do have regular female clientele and undercuts are a very popular request. It is important for us to stress that the only determining factor as to whether or not a request would be best suited for our barbers IS the style of cut required. We can assure you that there is no policy in place 'not to cut women's hair'.

With that said, if you could please contact [info@graftonbarbers.com] with more detail (store in question, approx day/time), we would like to look into this further as it appears that a miscommunication has occurred and we’d like to look into this for you immediately and clarify any confusion.

Thanks Trisha, we look forward to hearing from you & apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Excellent service for all age groups

My teen has been going to Grafton Barbers in greystones for a few years now, he is ALWAYS happy with his hair, skin fades can be tricky but according to him Chris is the best! My middle guy (7) loves going to the barbers they do his crazy designs & treat him like a grown up making him feel very special. Today my 4yr old went for the first time, he has sensory issues so I was expecting a disaster but it went SO smoothly. All of the staff are excellent at what they do & their customer service is impeccable. Long review but it's very much deserved.

Won’t be back!!

Dundrum shop. Won’t be back!!! I can tell two of the women knew how to cut hair but not the one who cut my son’s hair. I showed a photo to give a guide, a guide!!! When she turned him around and asked what I thought, I didn’t know what to say. I couldn’t even narrow down where it was bad but my son looked like a monk. I asked her to clean up around the sides but apparently because it was a blade 6 on the clippers she couldn’t blend it. Not even a basic ability to blend hair. Additionally, all 3 hairdressers started to tell me that my son’s hair was too straight to be styled the way I showed but three things:
1. Why have the conversation after making a hash of it
2. I wasn’t expecting a replica
3. He has had a similar style previously

I have to take him somewhere else tomorrow.

I usually wouldn't write a review

I usually wouldn't write a review, but my experience with Grafton Barber in Adamstown has left me with no choice. This is one of those places where you'll get a haircut the way the barber wants it, not the way you instructed. Despite giving clear instructions, the barber insisted my previous haircut (also done at this shop) was not “straight.” He shortened my hair without asking how short I wanted it on top, despite my explicit instructions that it shouldn’t be short. After just 10 minutes of work and what felt like 10 liters of hair spray, I was charged €26, whereas my last haircut at the same shop, which was much better, cost only €17.

Advice to the management: ensure consistent pricing and employ qualified staff who are willing to listen to their customers. A friendly tip to the barber: offering a grown-up a lollipop doesn’t make up for a poor haircut.
