We had solar panels and battery system installed by James and Treeve. They were very pleasant, carried out a professional job and explained the system before they left. They are a credit to the company and restored some lost confidence in GreenGen.

Recently had a solar and battery system installed by GreenGen.
I found the process very easy and the design was tailored to my needs.
The installation team encountered some challenging weather conditions, but Simon, John, Fin and Jake completed a professional job and are a credit to the company.

Very pleased withall of the GreenGen installations, and the latest fitting of the PV panels was done efficiently and without fuss. The installers Ian & Zakk are to be commended.

Installation went without any problems. Alistair worked diligently throughout, tidying up every day before he left. No hesitation in recommending GrenGen.

GreenGen completed the work of installing solar panels at my property on Wednesday 6th. March, 2024. From the beginning of my involvement with GreenGen, they were pleasant, efficient and easy to deal with - the ones who came to my home in connection with the installation, and the ones I dealt with at their Office in Helston. They worked hard, and readily explained whenever I had a querie about something. I was very pleased with the service!

However, when I had to contact the Office on Saturday, 10.October, upon discovering that I had no water, I was extra impressed with their service! I sent an email and phoned their Office, some time in the afternoon on Saturday, so they hopefully could book me in at the beginning of their next working day. I had expected to speak to a robot, but a real, live person answered my phone. So refreshing in this highly digitalised and robot orientated world! A bit later I discovered I had also got a text message from someone at GreenGen, asking me to call him. I did. The one I spoke to thought, like me, that the lack of water must have had something to do with the fact that the water tank in my garage had been turned off as they worked - and that they had forgotten to connect or reconnect something before they left. He said he would come to my place then, to check, but it would take him an hour and twenty minutes to drive here, as he lived fairly far away in Cornwall. I told him I had bought drinking water and got some water in a container from my next door neighbour, so he did not have to come immediately. However, he replied that I SHOULD have water in the tank, and stressed that if I was at home, he would come “ now”. He was there at about 8pm, leaving just before 10pm - but not before checking that I had water everywhere I should. An oversight can always happen - it is what the company then DOES with that, which matters! I learnt that it was the owner of the company himself who had come to help me so I should have water at the weekend!

This was PROPER, OLD FASHIONED SERVICE, PROVIDED BY A NEW AND MODERN BUSINESS! I was both impressed and extremely grateful! So glad that I had gone with GreenGen to have my solar service installed and got them up and running.

Thank you to ALL at GreenGen from a very satisfied customer! I look forward to learning more about how everything with my new system works & how I can maximise the benefits, both for the environment, and financially.

I would not recommend this company at all. Tried to go local to support a local business. Don't waste your time! contacted them in Jan23 and agreed a site visit Jan 23 on visit agreed a system, Solar battery hybrid all tucked in loft with 11 panels on the roof. Using a Solis system, upgraded at the last minute to GiveEnergy battery and inverter waited for instillation 10 month for instillation Oct23. firstly scaffolders used, damaged masonry on house and built scaffolding on top of rose bushes, crushed them actually. Final site inspection showed area in loft for inverter + battery, happy with siting. GreenGen Emailed the following day saying not possible to put it in the loft will have to go in the garden, when I queried why this has happened now they said the man surveying didn't really know how big it was. So why did he conduct the survey? I was ready to cancel the system when by magic they could fit it in the loft. System fitted, and installers left. Checked roof and found they forgot to fit a solar panel. This was rectified the following day so that was rectified correctly. Wire trunking to consumer unit looked like a 3 year old had fitted it. No caps on end filled with mastic that dribled out down the wall. Finally start to use the system jan24 as we are on Octopus Tariff to find that the battery immediately discharged when on timed home demand. The reason we invested in this system was to charge the battery on a cheap tariff over night and discharge it early evening. Spoke with customer service at both GreenGen and Give energy. took 4 days for GiveEnergy to decide that the timed home demand is not compatible with the inverter fitted, so can't be used this way. when I called to speak with Adam I was told "he is extremely busy what do you want". I pointed out he had said he was available all day so I called rather than emailed. GreenGens response was sorry it doesn't achieve what you thought it would. I would also point out that without any security questions or passwords they logged into my system and began adjusting setting (sound familiar) Two dreadful companies working together.
15k system that does not achieve what we were sold. For goodness sake look else where. I would give a negative star but you have to give one.

GreenGen are a local Cornish company with a great ethic. Their work is superb, they cleared up after themselves and could not have been more professional. The scaffolding team were great too & the whole process of solar power plus batteries has been painless. Thanks guys

Brilliant experience from start to finish. Everyone was helpful, polite, and knowledgeable. Installation was completed smoothly and the team were amazing - Jordan the electrician was exceptional. Once up and running we were shown how everything worked, provided all documentation and there have been no issues. A truly first class service.

We were well prepared for the installation and it all went smoothly and on schedule. We were kept informed and consulted along the way if any decisions had to be made that might affect us. Hoping it will now deliver the anticipated savings and be effective through the winter.
Only thing that could be improved - a more comprehensive handover with a simple plain language guide to all the new technology!

I wax lyrical with anyone as often as I can. So pleased with the air source heat pump, solar and myenergi - which is utilising our electric so efficiently. GreenGen are fantastic, staff to product and installation. Neat, tidy and cost is as expected.
We have a 1980s bungalow. Also have Supersoft insulation made from recycled plastic bottles and MVHR. Very cost effective living!
