Less than Honest

I placed an order on 4/29. 11 days later, still no delivery.
The website states specifically that customer's orders are shipped via UPS/USPS, with a typical arrival time of 3-5 business days.

On 4/6, I rec'd an email from their AI BOT, stating "You're order has landed". "Landed where, on the moon?" was my response, because there was no landing at my home. Also included in the BOT email was a tracking number, associated with "Amazon Shipping!"

If I wanted to be associated with Amazon, I'd have ordered from their site, and paid 50% less for these same shoes with FREE SHIPPING, than I paid by ordering directly from the Company Site, and paid $9.95 for them to ship the shoes to me using AMAZON SHIPPING!

On 4/10, I phoned Grounded Footwear Customer Service and was told the shipping was delayed all this time b/c the item I ordered has been "OUT OF STOCK".

During the 11 days of waiting for delivery, I've received 8 sales emails from this company. They seem to be able to send sales emails but are incapable of sending an email to advise of an item being "OUT OF STOCK"? How does a company expect to manage customer expectations this way?

Adding to the problem is the blatant misinformation regarding shipping.

Nowhere on their website is it mentioned that "AMAZON SHIPPING" is their carrier. UPS/USPS is the reference.

I've been told by their Customer Servive Team to now expect my order on Tuesday the 12th of May. The Amazon tracking number when tapped tells me delivery will be on Monday the 11th.

Moral of the story...

Discounts offered by less than honest companies are not worth the frustration.

While attempting to return the Grounded Footware shoes, I encountered a scam.

While attempting to return the Grounded Footware shoes I am dissatisfied with, the chat agent sent me to a Just Answer Software form that supposedly would give me technical help of some sort for $5. However, they attempted to charge me $43, twice. Furthermore, the Grounded Footware returns person did not contact me as promised. Attempting to get in touch with their customer service puts your queries into a loop, totally unusable.

These shoes are the cheapest shoes I…

These shoes are the cheapest shoes I could ever imagine. I bought a pair of black and a pair of white as I was going on vacation and wanted to switch between them. wearing these shoes feels like wearing socks on your feet. if you are in the least wet environment it soaks in through the bottom of the shoe. I was disappointed when I got them but figured I'd give them a try and they were exactly what they looked like,

I ordered a pair of their shoes

I ordered a pair of their shoes. It took a while to receive the product. When I did get the shoes they were too large. In addition, the quality was terrible. So, I contacted their returns department which seems to be run by an AI bot. At first, they asked if I'd take a 50% refund and keep the product. I said no that I would return them for a full refund. A second email cam back saying they would increase to a 75% refund. Again, I said no and that I wanted an address to send the product back. Their email answered giving me an address with a PO box in it and that they would only accept the package be sent by USPS. They obviously know that USPS does not deliver to a PO Box. So, I emailed tham again saying that I wanted another address to return to. They resent the same address. So, at this point, totally frustrated, I am opening a complaint with AMEX and asking them to refuse to pay the charge.

I had a full hip replacement in February 2026, I needed a wide comfortable shoe that protected my balance as I recover. Tried Grounded, the shipped quickly, are well made and ohhhh soooo comfortable. Keeps the feet in full contact with the ground. Balance is great. Ordered my regular size, true fit.

Not worth the money.

For starters, I would not consider these to be shoes. Slippers is a better word for them. They uppers are very light and the soles are quite thin.

They are comfortable, but not dura ble. After two months, the toe of the right slipper ripped out.

If you look at the reviews on their site, they are very favorable. But please note that you can't actually review them on their site. They are fake reviews.

Do not buy these shoes

Do not buy these shoes. I ordered using their sizing chart. When I received the shoes I contacted customer service to exchange for a larger size. Despite the huge box on website saying free size exchange I was told I would have to pay shipping. I will tell everyone who asks that this company does not care about customer satisfaction.

Buyer beware that these are not what…

Buyer beware that these are not what most people would consider "shoes." The best I can compare them to is thinly constructed water shoes. I fell for there advertising and believed I was ordering shoes. Unfortunately, I didn't investigate this product, as I usually do, and hadn't seen the TrustPilot reviews on this company. Honestly they should be ashamed of themselves for claiming these are valued at the retail price they are. They are worth about $20. In fact they are sold on Amazon for about $22-25, despite the fact their customer service rep said those aren't their shoes on Amazon. As with many here, I had to go through the hassle of reaching out to them once I realized I had been duped. Now, the shoes themselves are that bad for something to slip on and wear around the house. I've had no foot problems with them so really didn't want to go through the process of having to return them and really just wanted to pay a fair price. I negotiated a 50% discount from my original price which put the purchase price at around $31/pair. I can live with that. Gave them 2 stars vs. 1 due to the fact that they obviously have to give deeper discounts on a regular basis. Bottom line is if they would sell these for $25 and advertise them for what they are, most people wouldn't complain as much as they do. So don't fall for all the advertising on their website because honestly, I don't know how anyone would say these are great.

I am a fan

I am a fan! The shoes are so comfortable, have held up well, and look cool. I get lots of people asking about them. When I had a question recently, I had no trouble contacting them by email and the response and solution was exceptional. I have 3 pair.

SHOES WONDERFUL, COMPANY STINKS!

I LOVE THE SHOES. But I would NEVER recommend this company!! I ordered the shoes. Then I noticed it was going to the wrong address (I hadn't lived there for 4 years), BUT I couldn't correct it. I immediately notified the SUPPORT to change that address. I didn't hear from them for 4 days, only to say it has already been shipped and it was up to me to get them. Paypal would not give me a refund on it. Then I got a notice that - Hurray - they were delivered. So I drove 35 miles to pick them up at my old address. Fortunately, the guy was very nice when I told him my story, and he went inside and got the shoes for me. I will NEVER shop at this place again, NOR DO I RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE!!

No risk return is not true

First off the sizes are not true sizes for the US. Got a half size bigger and still couldn't fit in them. Then after trying to return, I found out that their no risk guarenteed return is in fact a risk. I had to pay the return shipping for two pair ($20+) and while I got most the money back, they also deducted their shipping costs for sending to me. Not what I call no risk whe you can find the same shoes on other sites substantually cheaper, even cheaper than I paid for the shipping charges.

Wrong size

Wrong size, won't accept returns. The shoes I received were way to small. They said the would give me 15% back, and don't return. Do Not Buy from them!

ONLY order if you are lucky

First off - I LOVE the shoes! They have helped a lot with my back / knee pain! I am still waiting on the foot pain to completely go away tho!

That said - I would ONLY recommend this company if you have good luck in 1) ordering the right size shoes and 2) if you don't have to deal with the company.

I ordered the same size in the 'dressy' version as I did in the 'daily' version. They were WAY TOO SMALL! So I reached out and started a conversations with them. 18 emails later, after being told they don't have the size I requested in the one that I ordered so they want to send a different size. Then I accept the next size and then they tell me the ones I ordered were not available even in the bigger size that they asked me if I would be OK with. THEN they tell me they only have the citrus color ones, not the indingo blue ones. I tell them sure on the citrus colored ones in the same size I requested (7 in womens) well after 3 more emails, guess what - nope those are not available either. THEN I agree to a 7.5 in WOMENS and they ship me a 7.5 in MENS. So 3 weeks, a ton of time in email and still do not have anything I can wear. I am DONE with this company and knowing there are several other companies out there making these types of shoes (some are cheaper some are more expensive) I will be switching my buying power to another company.

Not worth the hassle

I was really excited to get these shoes. It suggests that you order a size up. I'm size 7, so I ordered 7.5. Well, they were wrong. The shoes run correct to the foot. So, now the shoes are too big. I called and requested a refund, so I can get my correct size. You pay for the shipping to receive the shoes and you have to pay the shipping again to return. If the shoes weren't so expensive I would keep them even though they are too big. So now I've over paid once, and won't pay again for a smaller size. This company is bullshit*t.

Fit true to size for me, but the soles are VERY thin

I got the black barefoot Grounded shoes ... not sure exactly what they're called and the webpage I found doesn't specify. Nor does it have a way to leave a review, so I don't know where they got the reviews posted on their site. Mine are low-cut black with orange dots on the soles. They fit well and are extremely flexible and lightweight. I don't know that I'll use them often, though, and will only wear them in the summer. There's not quite enough arch support for me, and the soles are so thin that the pebbles hurt when I walk on asphalt paths and streets. I felt the need to wear socks because of the ridges on the insole. When I didn't wear socks, the insole came out with my foot. I wish I'd known all this before I purchased. I learned an expensive lesson ... I need to touch and try on shoes before buying.
